1 N ow there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

¶ Y en este mismo tiempo estaban allí unos que le contaban acerca de los galileos, cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con sus sacrificios.

2 A nd he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Pensáis que estos galileos, porque han padecido tales cosas, hayan sido más pecadores que todos los Galileos?

3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.

No, os digo; antes si no os enmen-dares, todos pereceréis igualmente.

4 O r those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?

O aquellos dieciocho, sobre los cuales cayó la torre en Siloé, y los mató, ¿pensáis que ellos fueron más deudores que todos los hombres que habitan en Jerusalén?

5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

No, os digo; antes si no os enmen-dares, todos pereceréis asimismo.

6 A nd he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.

¶ Y dijo esta parábola: Tenía uno una higuera plantada en su viña, y vino a buscar fruto en ella, y no lo halló.

7 A nd he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?

Y dijo al viñero: He aquí tres años ha que vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera, y no lo hallo; córtala, ¿por qué ocupará aún la tierra?

8 A nd he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Señor, déjala aún este año, hasta que la excave, y la abone.

9 a nd if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.

Y si hiciere fruto, bien; y si no, la cortarás después.

10 A nd he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.

¶ Y enseñaba en una sinagoga en sábado.

11 A nd behold, a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.

Y he aquí una mujer que tenía espíritu de enfermedad hacía dieciocho años, y andaba agobiada, que en ninguna manera se podía enderezar.

12 A nd when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

Cuando Jesús la vio, la llamó, y le dijo: Mujer, libre eres de tu enfermedad.

13 A nd he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Y puso las manos sobre ella; y luego se enderezó, y glorificaba a Dios.

14 A nd the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.

Y respondiendo el príncipe de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiera curado en sábado, dijo a la congregación: Seis días hay en que conviene obrar; en éstos, pues, venid y sed curados, y no en días de sábado.

15 B ut the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

Entonces el Señor le respondió, y dijo: Hipócrita, cada uno de vosotros ¿no desata en sábado su buey o su asno del pesebre, y lo lleva a beber?

16 A nd ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?

Y a esta hija de Abraham, que he aquí Satanás la había ligado dieciocho años, ¿no conviene desatarla de esta ligadura en día de sábado?

17 A nd as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

Y diciendo estas cosas, se avergonzaban todos sus adversarios; mas todo el pueblo se gozaba de todas las cosas gloriosas que eran por él hechas.

18 H e said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?

¶ Y dijo: ¿A qué es semejante el Reino de Dios, y a qué le compararé?

19 I t is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.

Semejante es a un grano de mostaza, que tomándolo el hombre lo metió en su huerto; y creció, y fue hecho árbol grande, y las aves del cielo hicieron nidos en sus ramas.

20 A nd again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

Y otra vez dijo: ¿A qué compararé el Reino de Dios?

21 I t is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

Semejante es a la levadura, que tomándola la mujer, y la esconde en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo sea leudado.

22 A nd he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.

Y pasaba por las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando, y caminando a Jerusalén.

23 A nd one said unto him, Lord, are they few that are saved? And he said unto them,

¶ Y le dijo uno: Señor, ¿son pocos los que se salvan? Y él les dijo:

24 S trive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Esforzaos a entrar por la puerta angosta; porque os digo que muchos procurarán entrar, y no podrán.

25 W hen once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;

Después que el padre de familia se levantare, y cerrare la puerta, y comenzaréis a estar fuera, y a tocar a la puerta, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos; y respondiendo os dirá: No os conozco de dónde seáis.

26 t hen shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;

Entonces comenzaréis a decir: Delante de ti hemos comido y bebido, y en nuestras plazas enseñaste;

27 a nd he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

y os dirá: Os digo que no os conozco de dónde seáis; apartaos de mí todos los obreros de iniquidad.

28 T here shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.

Allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes, cuando viereis a Abraham, y a Isaac, y a Jacob, y a todos los profetas en el Reino de Dios, y vosotros ser echados fuera.

29 A nd they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

Y vendrán otros del Oriente y del Occidente, del Norte y del Mediodía, y se sentarán a la mesa en el Reino de Dios.

30 A nd behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.

Y he aquí, hay postreros que serán primeros, y hay primeros que serán postreros.

31 I n that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.

¶ Aquel mismo día llegaron unos de los fariseos, diciéndole: Sal, y vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar.

32 A nd he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I am perfected.

Y les dijo: Id, y decid a aquella zorra: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y hago sanidades hoy y mañana, y al tercer día soy perfeccionado.

33 N evertheless I must go on my way to-day and to-morrow and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Pero es necesario que hoy, y mañana, y pasado mañana camine; porque no es posible que profeta muera fuera de Jerusalén.

34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

¡Jerusalén, Jerusalén! Que matas a los profetas, y apedreas a los que son enviados a ti, ¡cuántas veces quise juntar tus hijos, como la gallina sus pollos debajo de sus alas, y no quisiste!

35 B ehold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

He aquí, os es dejada vuestra Casa desierta; y os digo que no me veréis hasta que venga tiempo cuando digáis: Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor.
