1 F ret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.

3 T rust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness.

Bet Espera en el SEÑOR, y haz bien; vive en la tierra, y mantén la verdad.

4 D elight thyself also in Jehovah; And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.

Pon asimismo tu delicia en el SEÑOR, y él te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.

5 C ommit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass.

Guímel Vuelve hacia el SEÑOR tu camino; y espera en él; y él hará.

6 A nd he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy justice as the noon-day.

Y exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, y tu rectitud como el mediodía.

7 R est in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

¶ Dálet Calla ante el SEÑOR, y espera en él; no te enojes con el que prospera en su camino, con el hombre que hace maldades.

8 C ease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.

He Déjate de la ira, y depón el enojo; no te enojes en manera alguna para hacerte malo.

9 F or evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land.

Porque los malignos serán talados, mas los que esperan al SEÑOR, ellos heredarán la tierra.

10 F or yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be.

Vau Pues de aquí a poco no estará el malo; y contemplarás sobre su lugar, y no aparecerá.

11 B ut the meek shall inherit the land, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Pero los mansos heredarán la tierra, y se recrearán en la abundancia de la paz.

12 T he wicked plotteth against the just, And gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

Zain Piensa el impío contra el justo, y cruje sobre él sus dientes.

13 T he Lord will laugh at him; For he seeth that his day is coming.

El Señor se reirá de él; porque ve que viene su día.

14 T he wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay such as are upright in the way.

He Los impíos desenvainaron espada, y entesaron su arco, para arruinar al pobre y al menesteroso; para degollar a los de recto proceder.

15 T heir sword shall enter into their own heart, And their bows shall be broken.

La espada de ellos entrará en su mismo corazón, y su arco será quebrado.

16 B etter is a little that the righteous hath Than the abundance of many wicked.

Tet Mejor es lo poco del justo, que las muchas riquezas de los pecadores.

17 F or the arms of the wicked shall be broken; But Jehovah upholdeth the righteous.

Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados; mas el que sustenta a los justos es el SEÑOR.

18 J ehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; And their inheritance shall be for ever.

Yod Conoce el SEÑOR los días de los perfectos; y su heredad será para siempre.

19 T hey shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo; y en los días de hambre serán saciados.

20 B ut the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away.

Caf Porque los impíos perecerán, y los enemigos del SEÑOR como los más gordos de los carneros serán consumidos; se disiparán como humo.

21 T he wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.

¶ Lámed El impío toma prestado, y no paga; mas el justo tiene misericordia, y da.

22 F or such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land; And they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.

Porque los benditos de él heredarán la tierra; y los malditos de él serán talados.

23 A man's goings are established of Jehovah; And he delighteth in his way.

Mem Por el SEÑOR son ordenados los pasos del hombre bueno, y él quiere su camino.

24 T hough he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.

Cuando cayere, no será postrado; porque el SEÑOR sustenta su mano.

25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.

Nun Joven fui, y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado, ni su simiente que mendigue pan.

26 A ll the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth; And his seed is blessed.

En todo tiempo tiene misericordia, y presta; y su simiente es para bendición.

27 D epart from evil, and do good; And dwell for evermore.

Sámec Apártate del mal, y haz el bien, y vivirás para siempre.

28 F or Jehovah loveth justice, And forsaketh not his saints; They are preserved for ever: But the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Porque el SEÑOR ama la rectitud, y no desamparará a sus misericordiosos, para siempre serán guardados; mas la simiente de los impíos será talada.

29 T he righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell therein for ever.

Ayin Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivirán para siempre sobre ella.

30 T he mouth of the righteous talketh of wisdom, And his tongue speaketh justice.

Pe La boca del justo hablará sabiduría; y su lengua proferirá juicio.

31 T he law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide.

La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto sus pasos no vacilarán.

32 T he wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him.

Tsade Acecha el impío al justo, y procura matarlo.

33 J ehovah will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.

El SEÑOR no lo dejará en sus manos, ni lo condenará cuando le juzgaren.

34 W ait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

¶ Cof Espera al SEÑOR, y guarda su camino, y él te ensalzará para heredar la tierra; cuando los pecadores sean talados, lo verás.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.

Resh Yo vi al impío robusto, y reverdeciendo como un laurel verde.

36 B ut one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

Pero pasó, y he aquí no aparece; lo busqué, y no fue hallado.

37 M ark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a happy end to the man of peace.

Sin Considera al perfecto, y mira al recto; que la postrimería de cada uno de ellos es paz.

38 A s for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; The end of the wicked shall be cut off.

Mas los rebeldes fueron todos destruidos; la postrimería de los impíos fue talada.

39 B ut the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

Tau Pero la salvación de los justos es el SEÑOR, y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de la angustia.

40 A nd Jehovah helpeth them, and rescueth them; He rescueth them from the wicked, and saveth them, Because they have taken refuge in him.

Y el SEÑOR los ayudó, y los libera, y los libertará de los impíos; y los salvará, por cuanto esperaron en él.
