1 V erily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

¶ De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que no entra por la puerta en el corral de las ovejas, mas sube por otra parte, el tal es ladrón y robador.

2 B ut he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

Mas el que entra por la puerta, el pastor de las ovejas es.

3 T o him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

A éste abre el portero, y las ovejas oyen su voz; y a sus ovejas llama por nombre, y las saca.

4 W hen he hath put forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Y cuando ha sacado fuera sus ovejas, va delante de ellas; y las ovejas le siguen, porque conocen su voz.

5 A nd a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Mas al extraño no seguirán, antes huirán de él, porque no conocen la voz de los extraños.

6 T his parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

Esta parábola les dijo Jesús; mas ellos no entendieron qué era lo que les decía.

7 J esus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Volvió, pues, Jesús a decirles: De cierto, de cierto os digo: YO SOY la puerta de las ovejas.

8 A ll that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Todos los que antes de mí vinieron, ladrones son y robadores; mas no los oyeron las ovejas.

9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.

YO SOY la puerta; el que por mí entrare, será salvo; y entrará, y saldrá, y hallará pastos.

10 T he thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar, y matar, y destruir las ovejas; yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.

YO SOY el buen pastor; el buen pastor su alma da por sus ovejas.

12 H e that is a hireling, and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, beholdeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, and the wolf snatcheth them, and scattereth them:

Mas el asalariado, y que no es pastor, de quien no son propias las ovejas, ve al lobo que viene, y deja las ovejas, y huye, y el lobo las arrebata, y esparce las ovejas.

13 h e fleeth because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

Así que, el asalariado, huye, porque es asalariado, y las ovejas no le pertenecen.

14 I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own, and mine own know me,

YO SOY el buen Pastor; y conozco mis ovejas, y las mías me conocen.

15 e ven as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Como el Padre me conoce, y yo conozco al Padre; y pongo mi alma por las ovejas.

16 A nd other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice: and they shall become one flock, one shepherd.

También tengo otras ovejas que no son de este corral, aquellas también me conviene traer, y oirán mi voz; y se hará un corral, y habrá un pastor.

17 T herefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

Por eso me ama el Padre, porque yo pongo mi alma, para volverla a tomar.

18 N o one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.

Nadie me la quita, mas yo la pongo de mí mismo. Tengo poder para ponerla, y tengo poder para volverla a tomar. Este mandamiento recibí de mi Padre.

19 T here arose a division again among the Jews because of these words.

¶ Y volvió a haber disensión entre los judíos por estas palabras.

20 A nd many of them said, He hath a demon, and is mad; why hear ye him?

Y muchos de ellos decían: Demonio tiene, y está fuera de sí; ¿para qué le oís?

21 O thers said, These are not the sayings of one possessed with a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?

Decían otros: Estas palabras no son de endemoniado; ¿puede un demonio abrir los ojos de los ciegos?

22 A nd it was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem:

¶ Y se hacían las Encenias (dedicación) en Jerusalén; y era invierno;

23 i t was winter; and Jesus was walking in the temple in Solomon's porch.

Y Jesús andaba en el templo por el portal de Salomón.

24 T he Jews therefore came round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly.

Y le rodearon los judíos y le dijeron: ¿Hasta cuándo quitas nuestra alma? Si tú eres el Cristo, dínoslo abiertamente.

25 J esus answered them, I told you, and ye believe not: the works that I do in my Father's name, these bear witness of me.

Les respondió Jesús: Os lo he dicho, y no creéis; las obras que yo hago en nombre de mi Padre, éstas dan testimonio de mí;

26 B ut ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.

mas vosotros no creéis, porque no sois de mis ovejas, como os he dicho.

27 M y sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y me siguen;

28 a nd I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

y yo les doy vida eterna y no perecerán para siempre, y nadie las arrebatará de mi mano.

29 M y Father, who hath given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Mi Padre que me las dio, mayor que todos es y nadie las puede arrebatar de la mano de mi Padre.

30 I and the Father are one.

Yo y el Padre una cosa somos.

31 T he Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Entonces volvieron a tomar piedras los judíos para apedrearle.

32 J esus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

Les respondió Jesús: Muchas buenas obras os he mostrado de mi Padre, ¿por cuál obra de esas me apedreáis?

33 T he Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Le respondieron los judíos, diciendo: Por la buena obra no te apedreamos, sino por la blasfemia; y porque tú, siendo hombre, te haces Dios.

34 J esus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?

Les respondió Jesús: ¿No está escrito en vuestra ley: Yo dije, dioses sois?

35 I f he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),

Si dijo, dioses, a aquellos a los cuales fue hecha palabra de Dios (y la Escritura no puede ser quebrantada),

36 s ay ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

¿a quien el Padre santificó y envió al mundo, vosotros decís: Tú blasfemas, porque dije: Hijo de Dios soy?

37 I f I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

Si no hago las obras de mi Padre, no me creáis.

38 B ut if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.

Mas si las hago, y aunque a mí no me creáis, creed a las obras; para que conozcáis y creáis que el Padre es en mí, y yo en él.

39 T hey sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand.

¶ Por eso procuraban otra vez prenderle; mas él se salió de sus manos;

40 A nd he went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was at the first baptizing; and there be abode.

Y se volvió al otro lado del Jordán, a aquel lugar donde primero había estado bautizando Juan; y permaneció allí.

41 A nd many came unto him; and they said, John indeed did no sign: but all things whatsoever John spake of this man were true.

Y muchos venían a él, y decían que Juan, a la verdad, ninguna señal hizo; mas todo lo que Juan dijo de éste, era verdad.

42 A nd many believed on him there.

Y muchos creyeron allí en él.
