1 H ear my voice, O God, in my complaint: Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Escucha, oh Dios, mi voz en mi oración; guarda mi vida del miedo del enemigo.

2 H ide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, From the tumult of the workers of iniquity;

Escóndeme del secreto consejo de los malignos; de la conspiración de los que obran iniquidad;

3 W ho have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,

que amolaron su lengua como espada, y armaron por su saeta palabra amarga,

4 T hat they may shoot in secret places at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

para asaetear a escondidas al perfecto; de improviso lo asaetean, y no temen.

5 T hey encourage themselves in an evil purpose; They commune of laying snares privily; They say, Who will see them?

Se afirman a sí mismos la palabra mala, tratan de esconder los lazos, y dicen: ¿Quién los ha de ver?

6 T hey search out iniquities; We have accomplished, say they, a diligent search: And the inward thought and the heart of every one is deep.

Escudriñan iniquidades, perfeccionan y ponen en efecto lo que inventaron en lo íntimo de cada uno, y en su corazón inventivo.

7 B ut God will shoot at them; With an arrow suddenly shall they be wounded.

¶ Mas Dios los herirá con saeta; de repente serán sus plagas.

8 S o they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them: All that see them shall wag the head.

Y harán caer sobre sí sus mismos consejos y acuerdos; se espantarán todos los que los vieren.

9 A nd all men shall fear; And they shall declare the work of God, And shall wisely consider of his doing.

Y temerán todos los hombres, y anunciarán la obra de Dios, y entenderán su obra.

10 T he righteous shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall take refuge in him; And all the upright in heart shall glory.

El justo se alegrará en el SEÑOR, y se asegurará en él; y se alabarán en El todos los rectos de corazón.
