1 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none defile himself for the dead among his people;

¶ Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Habla a los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, y diles que no se contaminen por un muerto en sus pueblos.

2 e xcept for his kin, that is near unto him, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,

A no ser por un pariente cercano, por su madre, o por su padre, o por su hijo, o por su hermano,

3 a nd for his sister a virgin, that is near unto him, that hath had no husband; for her may he defile himself.

o por su hermana virgen, a él cercana, la cual no haya tenido marido, por ella se contaminará.

4 H e shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

No se contaminará, por el príncipe en su pueblo, ensuciándose.

5 T hey shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

No harán calva en su cabeza, ni raerán la punta de su barba, ni en su carne harán rasguños.

6 T hey shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God; for the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

Santos serán a su Dios, y no ensuciarán el nombre de su Dios; porque las ofrendas encendidas del SEÑOR y el pan de su Dios ofrecen; por tanto serán santos.

7 T hey shall not take a woman that is a harlot, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

Mujer ramera o infame no tomarán; ni tomarán mujer repudiada de su marido; porque él es santo a su Dios.

8 T hou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I Jehovah, who sanctify you, am holy.

Y lo santificarás, porque el pan de tu Dios ofrece; santo será para ti, porque santo soy yo el SEÑOR vuestro santificador.

9 A nd the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the harlot, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

Y la hija del varón sacerdote, si comenzare a fornicar, a su padre contamina; quemada será al fuego.

10 A nd he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head go loose, nor rend his clothes;

¶ Y el sumo sacerdote entre sus hermanos, sobre cuya cabeza fue derramado el aceite de la unción, y que fue consagrado para vestir las vestimentas, no descubrirá su cabeza, ni rasgará sus vestidos;

11 n either shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

ni entrará donde haya alguna persona muerta, ni por su padre, ni por su madre se contaminará.

12 n either shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am Jehovah.

Ni saldrá del santuario, ni ensuciará el santuario de su Dios; porque la corona del aceite de la unción de su Dios está sobre él. Yo soy el SEÑOR.

13 A nd he shall take a wife in her virginity.

Y tomará él mujer con su virginidad.

14 A widow, or one divorced, or a profane woman, a harlot, these shall he not take: but a virgin of his own people shall he take to wife.

Viuda, o repudiada, o infame, o ramera, éstas no tomará; mas tomará virgen de su pueblo por mujer.

15 A nd he shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth him.

Y no ensuciará su simiente en su pueblo; porque YO SOY el que lo santifico.

16 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

¶ Y el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, diciendo:

17 S peak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed throughout their generations that hath a blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

Habla a Aarón, y dile: El varón de tu simiente en sus generaciones, en el cual hubiere falta, no se acercará para ofrecer el pan de su Dios.

18 F or whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous,

Porque ningún varón en el cual hubiere falta, se acercará: varón ciego, o cojo, o falto, o sobrado,

19 o r a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed,

o varón en el cual hubiere quebradura de pie o quebradura de mano,

20 o r crook-backed, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or is scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

o jorobado, o lagañoso, o que tuviere nube en el ojo, o que tuviere sarna, o empeine, o testículo atrofiado.

21 n o man of the seed of Aaron the priest, that hath a blemish, shall come nigh to offer the offerings of Jehovah made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

Ningún varón de la simiente de Aarón sacerdote, en el cual hubiere falta, se acercará para ofrecer las ofrendas encendidas del SEÑOR. Hay falta en él; no se acercará a ofrecer el pan de su Dios.

22 H e shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy:

El pan de su Dios, de lo santísimo y de las cosas santificadas, comerá.

23 o nly he shall not go in unto the veil, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth them.

Pero no entrará del velo adentro, ni se acercará al altar, por cuanto hay falta en él; y no ensuciará mi santuario, porque YO SOY el que los santifico.

24 S o Moses spake unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

Y Moisés habló esto a Aarón, y a sus hijos, y a todos los hijos de Israel.
