1 N ow late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

¶ Y avanzado el sábado, amaneciendo para el primero de los sábados, vino María Magdalena, y la otra María, a ver el sepulcro.

2 A nd behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.

Y he aquí, fue hecho un gran terremoto; porque el ángel del Señor, descendiendo del cielo y llegando, había revuelto la piedra del sepulcro, y estaba sentado sobre ella.

3 H is appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

Y su aspecto era como un relámpago, y su vestido blanco como la nieve.

4 a nd for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men.

Y de miedo de él los guardas se asombraron, y fueron vueltos como muertos.

5 A nd the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified.

Y respondiendo el ángel, dijo a las mujeres: No temáis vosotras; porque yo sé que buscáis a Jesús, el que fue colgado en un madero.

6 H e is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

No está aquí; porque ha resucitado, como dijo. Venid, ved el lugar donde fue puesto el Señor.

7 A nd go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

E id presto, decid a sus discípulos que ha resucitado de los muertos; y he aquí va delante de vosotros a Galilea; allí le veréis; he aquí, os lo he dicho.

8 A nd they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.

Entonces ellas, saliendo del sepulcro con temor y gran gozo, fueron corriendo a dar las nuevas a sus discípulos. Y yendo a dar las nuevas a sus discípulos,

9 A nd behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him.

he aquí, Jesús les sale al encuentro, diciendo: Halláis gozo. Y ellas se llegaron y abrazaron sus pies, y le adoraron.

10 T hen saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Entonces Jesús les dice: No temáis: id, dad las nuevas a mis hermanos, para que vayan a Galilea, y allí me verán.

11 N ow while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass.

¶ Y yendo ellas, he aquí unos de la guardia vinieron a la ciudad, y dieron aviso a los príncipes de los sacerdotes de todas las cosas que habían acontecido.

12 A nd when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money unto the soldiers,

Y juntados con los ancianos, y habido consejo, dieron mucho dinero a los soldados,

13 s aying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

diciendo: Decid: Sus discípulos vinieron de noche, y le hurtaron, durmiendo nosotros.

14 A nd if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and rid you of care.

Y si esto fuere oído del gobernador, nosotros le persuadiremos, y os haremos seguros.

15 S o they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continueth until this day.

Y ellos, tomando el dinero, hicieron como estaban instruidos: y este dicho fue divulgado entre los judíos hasta el día de hoy.

16 B ut the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

¶ Mas los once discípulos se fueron a Galilea, al monte donde Jesús les había ordenado.

17 A nd when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.

Cuando le vieron, le adoraron; mas algunos dudaban.

18 A nd Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

Y llegando Jesús, les habló, diciendo: Toda potestad me es dada en el cielo y en la tierra.

19 G o ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

Por tanto, id, y enseñad a todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo;

20 t eaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

enseñándoles que guarden todas las cosas que os he mandado; y he aquí, yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del siglo. Amén.
