1 O God, keep not thou silence: Hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

Oh Dios, no guardes silencio; no calles, oh Dios, ni te estés quieto.

2 F or, lo, thine enemies make a tumult; And they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Porque he aquí que braman tus enemigos; y tus aborrecedores han alzado cabeza.

3 T hy take crafty counsel against thy people, And consult together against thy hidden ones.

Sobre tu pueblo han consultado con prudencia, y han entrado en consejo contra tus escondidos.

4 T hey have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Han dicho: Venid, y cortémoslos de ser pueblo, y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.

5 F or they have consulted together with one consent; Against thee do they make a covenant:

Por esto han conspirado de corazón a una, contra ti han hecho liga;

6 T he tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagarenes;

las tiendas de los idumeos y de los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos;

7 G ebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre:

Gebal, Amón, y Amalec; Filistea con los habitantes de Tiro.

8 A ssyria also is joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. Selah

También el assur se ha juntado con ellos; Son por brazo a los hijos de Lot. (Selah.)

9 D o thou unto them as unto Midian, As to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;

¶ Hazles como a Madián; Como a Sísara, como a Jabín en el arroyo de Cisón;

10 W ho perished at Endor, Who became as dung for the earth.

que perecieron en Endor, fueron hechos muladar de la tierra.

11 M ake their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; Yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna;

Pon a ellos y a sus capitanes como a Oreb y como a Zeeb; como a Zeba y como a Zalmuna, a todos sus príncipes;

12 W ho said, Let us take to ourselves in possession The habitations of God.

que han dicho: Heredemos para nosotros las moradas de Dios.

13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust; As stubble before the wind.

Dios mío, ponlos como a torbellino; como a hojarascas delante del viento.

14 A s the fire that burneth the forest, And as the flame that setteth the mountains on fire,

Como fuego que quema el monte, como llama que abrasa el bosque.

15 S o pursue them with thy tempest, And terrify them with thy storm.

Persíguelos así con tu tempestad, y asombralos con tu torbellino.

16 F ill their faces with confusion, That they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

Llena sus rostros de vergüenza; y busquen tu Nombre, oh SEÑOR.

17 L et them be put to shame and dismayed for ever; Yea, let them be confounded and perish;

Sean afrentados y turbados para siempre; y sean deshonrados, y perezcan.

18 T hat they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, Art the Most High over all the earth.

Y conozcan que tu nombre es el SEÑOR; tú solo Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.
