1 A t that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

En aquel tiempo, dijo el SEÑOR, yo seré por Dios a todos los linajes de Israel, y ellos me serán a mí por pueblo.

2 T hus saith Jehovah, The people that were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

Así dijo el SEÑOR: Halló gracia en el desierto el pueblo, los que escaparon de la espada, yendo yo para hacer hallar reposo a Israel.

3 J ehovah appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

El SEÑOR se manifestó a mí hace ya mucho tiempo, diciendo: Con amor eterno te he amado; por tanto te soporté con misericordia.

4 A gain will I build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: again shalt thou be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

Aún te edificaré, y serás edificada, oh virgen de Israel; todavía serás adornada con tus panderos, y saldrás en corro de danzantes.

5 A gain shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy the fruit thereof.

Aún plantarás viñas en los montes de Samaria; plantarán los plantadores, y harán común uso de ellas.

6 F or there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto Jehovah our God.

Porque habrá día en que clamarán los guardas en el monte de Efraín: Levantaos, y subamos en Sion, al SEÑOR nuestro Dios.

7 F or thus saith Jehovah, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.

Porque así dijo el SEÑOR: Regocijaos en Jacob con alegría, y dad voces de júbilo a la cabeza de los gentiles; haced oír, alabad, y decid: Oh SEÑOR, salva tu pueblo, el remanente de Israel.

8 B ehold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall they return hither.

He aquí yo los torno de tierra del aquilón, y los junto de los fines de la tierra, habrá entre ellos ciegos y cojos, y mujeres que están encinta y las que dieron a luz juntamente; en gran compañía tornarán acá.

9 T hey shall come with weeping; and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born.

Irán con lloro, mas con misericordias los haré volver, y los haré andar junto a arroyos de aguas, por camino derecho en el cual no tropezarán; porque seré a Israel por Padre, y Efraín será mi primogénito.

10 H ear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd doth his flock.

Oíd palabra del SEÑOR, oh gentiles, y hacedlo saber en las islas que están lejos, y decid: El que esparció a Israel lo juntará y lo guardará, como pastor a su ganado.

11 F or Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

Porque el SEÑOR rescató a Jacob, lo redimió de mano del más fuerte que él.

12 A nd they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

Y vendrán, y harán alabanzas en lo alto de Sion, y correrán al bien del SEÑOR, al pan, al vino, al aceite, y al ganado de las ovejas y de las vacas; y su alma será como huerto de riego, y nunca más tendrán dolor.

13 T hen shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Entonces la virgen se alegrará en la danza, los jóvenes y los viejos juntamente; y su lloro tornaré en gozo, y los consolaré, y los alegraré de su dolor.

14 A nd I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah.

Y el alma del sacerdote embriagaré de grosura, y será mi pueblo saciado de mi bien, dijo el SEÑOR.

15 T hus saith Jehovah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuseth to be comforted for her children, because they are not.

Así dijo el SEÑOR: Voz fue oída en Ramá, llanto y lloro amargo; Raquel que lamenta por sus hijos, no quiso ser consolada acerca de sus hijos, porque perecieron.

16 T hus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

Así dijo el SEÑOR: Reprime tu voz del llanto, y tus ojos de las lágrimas; porque salario hay para tu obra, dice el SEÑOR, y volverán de la tierra del enemigo.

17 A nd there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah; and thy children shall come again to their own border.

Esperanza también hay para tu fin, dice el SEÑOR, y los hijos volverán a su término.

18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God.

Escuchando, oí a Efraín que se lamentaba: Me azotaste, y fui castigado como novillo indómito; conviérteme y seré convertido; porque tú eres el SEÑOR mi Dios.

19 S urely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

Porque después que me convertí, tuve arrepentimiento, y después que conocí, herí el muslo; me avergoncé, y me confundí, porque llevé la afrenta de mi juventud.

20 I s Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.

¿Por ventura es Efraín hijo precioso para mí? ¿Por ventura es para mi niño delicioso? Con todo eso desde que hablé de él, me he acordado de él constantemente. Por eso mis entrañas se conmovieron por él; apiadado, tendré de él misericordia, dice el SEÑOR.

21 S et thee up waymarks, make thee guide-posts; set thy heart toward the highway, even the way by which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

Establécete señales, ponte mojones altos; nota atentamente la calzada; el camino por donde viniste, vuélvete, virgen de Israel, vuélvete a éstas tus ciudades.

22 H ow long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for Jehovah hath created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

¿Hasta cuándo andarás errante, oh hija contumaz? Porque el SEÑOR criará una cosa nueva sobre la tierra: una MUJER rodeará al varón.

23 T hus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness.

Así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Aun dirán esta palabra en la tierra de Judá y en sus ciudades, cuando yo convertiré su cautiverio: el SEÑOR te bendiga, oh Morada de justicia y monte de santidad.

24 A nd Judah and all the cities thereof shall dwell therein together, the husbandmen, and they that go about with flocks.

Y morarán en ella Judá, y también en todas sus ciudades, labradores, y los que van con rebaño.

25 F or I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

Porque embriagué el alma cansada, y llené toda alma entristecida.

26 U pon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

En esto me desperté, y vi, y mi sueño me fue sabroso.

27 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

He aquí vienen días, dijo el SEÑOR, y sembraré la Casa de Israel y la Casa de Judá de simiente de hombre y de simiente de animal.

28 A nd it shall come to pass that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, saith Jehovah.

Y será que, como tuve cuidado de ellos para arrancar y derribar, y trastornar y perder, y afligir, así tendré cuidado de ellos para edificar y plantar, dijo el SEÑOR.

29 I n those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

En aquellos días no dirán más: Los padres comieron las uvas agrias, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera.

30 B ut every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Sino que cada cual morirá por su iniquidad; los dientes de todo hombre que comiere las uvas agrias, tendrán la dentera.

31 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

He aquí que vienen días, dijo el SEÑOR, en los cuales haré nuevo pacto con la Casa de Jacob y con la Casa de Judá:

32 n ot according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah.

No como el pacto que hice con sus padres el día que tomé su mano para sacarlos de la tierra de Egipto; porque ellos invalidaron mi pacto, y yo aunque fui el marido de ellos, dijo el SEÑOR:

33 B ut this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

Mas éste es el Pacto que haré con la Casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dijo el SEÑOR: Daré mi ley en sus almas, y la escribiré en su corazón; y seré yo a ellos por Dios, y ellos me serán por pueblo.

34 a nd they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

Y no enseñará más ninguno a su prójimo, ni ninguno a su hermano, diciendo: Conoced al SEÑOR: porque todos me conocerán, desde el más pequeño de ellos hasta el más grande, dijo el SEÑOR; porque perdonaré su iniquidad, y no me acordaré más de su pecado.

35 T hus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

Así dijo el SEÑOR, que da el sol para luz del día, las leyes de la luna y de las estrellas para luz de la noche; que parte el mar y sus ondas braman; el SEÑOR de los ejércitos es su Nombre:

36 I f these ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Si estas leyes faltaren delante de mí, dijo el SEÑOR, también la simiente de Israel faltará para no ser nación delante de mí todos los días.

37 T hus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.

Así dijo el SEÑOR: Si los cielos arriba se pueden medir, y buscarse abajo los fundamentos de la tierra, también yo desecharé toda la simiente de Israel por todo lo que hicieron, dijo el SEÑOR.

38 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner.

He aquí que vienen días, dijo el SEÑOR, y la ciudad será edificada al SEÑOR, desde la torre de Hananeel hasta la puerta del rincón.

39 A nd the measuring line shall go out further straight onward unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn about unto Goah.

Y saldrá más adelante el cordel de la medida delante de él sobre el collado de Gareb, y cercará a Goa.

40 A nd the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto Jehovah; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

Y todo el valle de los cuerpos muertos y de la ceniza con la grosura quemada, y todas las llanuras hasta el arroyo de Cedrón, hasta la esquina de la puerta de los caballos al oriente, será Santo al SEÑOR; no será arrancada, ni destruida más para siempre.
