1 A t that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

En aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, yo seré por Dios a todas las familias de Israel, y ellas me serán a mí por pueblo.

2 T hus saith Jehovah, The people that were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

Así dice Jehová: El pueblo que escapó de la espada halló gracia en el desierto; sí, Israel cuando voy a hacerle descansar.

3 J ehovah appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Jehová se manifestó a mí desde lejos, diciendo: Con amor eterno te he amado; por tanto, te he atraído a mí con mi gracia.

4 A gain will I build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: again shalt thou be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

De nuevo te edificaré, y serás edificada, oh virgen de Israel; todavía serás adornada con tus panderos, y saldrás a danzar con gente festiva.

5 A gain shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy the fruit thereof.

Aún plantarás viñas en los montes de Samaria; plantarán los que planten, y disfrutarán de ellas.

6 F or there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto Jehovah our God.

Porque habrá día en que clamarán los guardas en el monte de Efraín: Levantaos, y subamos a Sión, a Jehová nuestro Dios.

7 F or thus saith Jehovah, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.

Porque así dice Jehová: Cantad por Jacob con alegría, y dad voces de júbilo a la cabeza de las naciones; anunciad, alabad, y decid: Oh Jehová, salva a tu pueblo, el remanente de Israel.

8 B ehold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall they return hither.

He aquí que yo los haré volver de la tierra del norte, y los reuniré de los últimos confines de la tierra, y entre ellos a ciegos y cojos, a la mujer que está encinta y a la que dio a luz juntamente; en gran compañía volverán acá.

9 T hey shall come with weeping; and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born.

Vendrán con llanto, y los guiaré con plegarias, y los haré andar junto a arroyos de aguas, por camino derecho en el cual no tropezarán; porque soy a Israel por padre, y Efraín es mi primogénito.

10 H ear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd doth his flock.

Oíd la palabra de Jehová, oh naciones, y hacedlo saber en las islas que están lejos, y decid: El que esparció a Israel lo reúne y lo guarda, como un pastor a su rebaño.

11 F or Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

Porque Jehová ha rescatado a Jacob, lo redimió de mano del que es más fuerte que él.

12 A nd they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

Vendrán y darán gritos de gozo en lo alto de Sión, y correrán al bien de Jehová, al pan, al vino, al aceite, y al ganado de las ovejas y de las vacas; y su alma será como un huerto de riego, y nunca más tendrán dolor.

13 T hen shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Entonces la virgen se alegrará en la danza, los jóvenes y los viejos juntamente; pues cambiaré su llanto en gozo, y los consolaré, y los alegraré de su dolor.

14 A nd I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah.

Y satisfaré el alma del sacerdote con abundancia, y mi pueblo será saciado de mi bien, dice Jehová.

15 T hus saith Jehovah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuseth to be comforted for her children, because they are not.

Así dice Jehová: Se oye una voz en Ramá, lamento y llanto amargo; Raquel que llora por sus hijos, y rehúsa ser consolada por sus hijos, porque perecieron.

16 T hus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

Así dice Jehová: Reprime del llanto tu voz, y de las lágrimas tus ojos; porque hay salario para tu trabajo, dice Jehová, y volverán de la tierra del enemigo.

17 A nd there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah; and thy children shall come again to their own border.

Esperanza hay también para tu porvenir, dice Jehová, y los hijos volverán a su propia tierra.

18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God.

Bien he oído a Efraín que se lamentaba: Me corregiste, y fui castigado como novillo indómito; conviérteme, y seré convertido, porque tú eres Jehová mi Dios.

19 S urely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

Porque después que me aparté tuve arrepentimiento, y después que fui instruido, me castigué a mí mismo; me avergoncé y me confundí, porque llevé la afrenta de mi juventud.

20 I s Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.

¿Es Efraín el hijo predilecto para mí?, ¿es el niño mimado?; pues siempre que hablo de él, todavía me viene con fuerza a la memoria. Por eso mis entrañas suspiran por él; ciertamente tendré de él compasión, dice Jehová.

21 S et thee up waymarks, make thee guide-posts; set thy heart toward the highway, even the way by which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

Establécete señales, ponte majanos altos, nota atentamente la calzada; vuélvete por el camino por donde te fuiste, virgen de Israel, vuelve a estas tus ciudades.

22 H ow long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for Jehovah hath created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

¿Hasta cuándo andarás vagando, oh hija contumaz? Porque Jehová ha creado una cosa nueva sobre la tierra: la mujer rodeará al varón.

23 T hus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness.

Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Aún dirán esta palabra en la tierra de Judá y en sus ciudades, cuando yo haga volver sus cautivos: Jehová te bendiga, oh morada de justicia, oh monte santo.

24 A nd Judah and all the cities thereof shall dwell therein together, the husbandmen, and they that go about with flocks.

Y habitará allí Judá, y también todas sus ciudades; los labradores, y los que van con rebaño.

25 F or I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

Porque satisfaré al alma cansada, y saciaré a toda alma entristecida.

26 U pon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

En esto me desperté, y vi, y mi sueño me fue agradable. El nuevo pacto

27 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que sembraré la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá de simiente de hombres y de ganados.

28 A nd it shall come to pass that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, saith Jehovah.

Y así como me ocupé de ellos para arrancar y derribar, y trastornar y destruir y afligir, tendré cuidado de ellos para edificar y plantar, dice Jehová.

29 I n those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

En aquellos días no dirán más: Los padres comieron las uvas agrias y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera,

30 B ut every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

sino que cada cual morirá por su propia maldad; los dientes de todo hombre que coma las uvas agrias, tendrán la dentera.

31 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en los cuales haré nuevo pacto con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judá.

32 n ot according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah.

No como el pacto que hice con sus padres el día que tomé su mano para sacarlos de la tierra de Egipto; porque ellos invalidaron mi pacto, aunque fui yo un marido para ellos, dice Jehová.

33 B ut this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

Pero este es el pacto que haré con la casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dice Jehová: Daré mi ley en su mente, y la escribiré en su corazón; y yo seré a ellos por Dios, y ellos me serán por pueblo.

34 a nd they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

Y no enseñará más ninguno a su prójimo, ni ninguno a su hermano, diciendo: Conoce a Jehová; porque todos me conocerán, desde el más pequeño de ellos hasta el más grande, dice Jehová; porque perdonaré la maldad de ellos, y no me acordaré más de su pecado.

35 T hus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name:

Así dice Jehová, que da el sol para luz del día, las leyes de la luna y de las estrellas para luz de la noche, que agita el mar, y brama sus ondas; Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre:

36 I f these ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Si faltan estas leyes delante de mí, dice Jehová, también la descendencia de Israel faltará para no ser nación delante de mí eternamente.

37 T hus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.

Así dice Jehová: Si los cielos arriba se pueden medir, y explorarse abajo los fundamentos de la tierra, también yo desecharé toda la descendencia de Israel por todo lo que hicieron, dice Jehová.

38 B ehold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner.

He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en que la ciudad será edificada a Jehová, desde la torre de Hananeel hasta la puerta del Ángulo.

39 A nd the measuring line shall go out further straight onward unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn about unto Goah.

Y saldrá más allá el cordel de la medida, directamente hasta el collado de Gareb, y torcerá hasta Goa.

40 A nd the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto Jehovah; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

Y todo el valle de los cuerpos muertos y de las cenizas, y todas las llanuras hasta el arroyo de Cedrón, hasta la esquina de la puerta de los caballos al oriente, será santo a Jehová; no será arrancada ni destruida más para siempre.
