1 B el boweth down, Nebo stoopeth; their idols are upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: the things that ye carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary beast.

Se postró Bel, se abatió Nebó; sus imágenes fueron puestas sobre bestias, sobre animales de carga; esas cosas que vosotros solíais llevar, son cargadas como fardos sobre las bestias cansadas.

2 T hey stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

Fueron humillados, fueron abatidos juntamente; no pudieron escaparse de la carga, sino que tuvieron ellos mismos que ir en cautiverio.

3 H earken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne by me from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;

Escuchadme, oh casa de Jacob, y todo el resto de la casa de Israel, los que sois traídos por mí desde el vientre, los que sois llevados desde la matriz.

4 a nd even to old age I am he, and even to hoar hairs will I carry you; I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver.

Y hasta vuestra vejez yo soy el mismo, y hasta las canas os soportaré yo; yo hice, yo llevaré, yo soportaré y libraré.

5 T o whom will ye like me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

¿A quién me asemejaréis, y me igualaréis, y me compararéis, para que seamos semejantes?

6 S uch as lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, they hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god; they fall down, yea, they worship.

Sacan oro de la bolsa, y pesan plata con balanzas, alquilan un orfebre para hacer un dios de ello; se postran y lo adoran.

7 T hey bear it upon the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it standeth, from its place shall it not remove: yea, one may cry unto it, yet can it not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

Se lo echan sobre los hombros, lo llevan, y lo colocan en su lugar; allí se está, y no se mueve de su sitio. Le gritan, y tampoco responde, ni libra de la tribulación.

8 R emember this, and show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.

Acordaos de esto, y manteneos firmes; volved en vosotros, prevaricadores.

9 R emember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me;

Acordaos de las cosas pasadas desde los tiempos antiguos; porque yo soy Dios, y no hay otro Dios, y nada hay semejante a mí,

10 d eclaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;

que anuncio lo por venir desde el principio, y desde la antigüedad lo que aún no era hecho; que digo: Mis planes permanecerán, y haré todo lo que quiero;

11 c alling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.

que llamo desde el oriente al ave de presa, y de tierra lejana al varón de mi consejo. Yo hablé, y lo haré venir; lo he decidido, y también lo haré.

12 H earken unto me, ye stout-hearted, that are far from righteousness:

Escuchadme, duros de corazón, que estáis lejos de la justicia:

13 I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Haré que se acerque mi justicia; no se alejará, y mi salvación no se detendrá. Y pondré salvación en Sión; mi gloria será para Israel.
