1 D o ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

Torcidos están los impíos desde la matriz; Extraviados y mentirosos desde que nacieron.

Veneno tienen como veneno de serpiente; Son como el áspid sordo que cierra su oído,

5 W hich hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, Charming never so wisely.

Que no quiere oír la voz de los que encantan, Por más hábil que sea el encantador.

6 B reak their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.

Oh Dios, rompe sus dientes en sus bocas; Quiebra, oh Jehová, las muelas de los leoncillos.

7 L et them melt away as water that runneth apace: When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

Sean disipados como aguas que se escurren; Cuando disparen sus saetas, sean hechas pedazos.

8 L et them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away, Like the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun.

Pasen ellos como la babosa que se deslíe; Como el que nace muerto, no vean el sol.

9 B efore your pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

Antes que vuestras ollas sientan la llama de los espinos, Verdes o quemados, que los arrebate la tempestad.

10 T he righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;

Se alegrará el justo cuando vea que se hace justicia; Sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.

11 S o that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: Verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.

Entonces dirán los hombres: Ciertamente hay galardón para el justo; Ciertamente hay un Dios que juzga en la tierra.
