1 I will sing of the lovingkindness of Jehovah for ever: With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Las misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente; De generación en generación haré notoria con mi boca tu fidelidad,

2 F or I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever; Thy faithfulness wilt thou establish in the very heavens.

Diciendo: Para siempre será edificada misericordia; En los cielos mismos establecerás tu verdad.

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant:

Hice un pacto con mi escogido; Juré a David mi siervo, diciendo:

4 T hy seed will I establish for ever, And build up thy throne to all generations. Selah

Para siempre confirmaré tu descendencia, Y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones. Selah

5 A nd the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Jehovah; Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.

Celebrarán los cielos tus maravillas, oh Jehová, Y la asamblea de tus santos ángeles, tu verdad.

6 F or who in the skies can be compared unto Jehovah? Who among the sons of the mighty is like unto Jehovah,

Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará a Jehová? ¿Quién será semejante a Jehová entre los hijos de los potentados?

7 A God very terrible in the council of the holy ones, And to be feared above all them that are round about him?

Dios es temible en la gran congregación de los santos, Y formidable sobre todos cuantos están alrededor de él.

8 O Jehovah God of hosts, Who is a mighty one, like unto thee, O Jehovah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.

Oh Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿Quién como tú? Poderoso eres, Jehová, Y tu fidelidad te rodea.

9 T hou rulest the pride of the sea: When the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Tú tienes dominio sobre la braveza del mar; Cuando se levantan sus olas, tú las sosiegas.

10 T hou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

Tú quebrantaste a Ráhab como a herido de muerte; Con tu brazo poderoso dispersaste a tus enemigos.

11 T he heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: The world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

Tuyos son los cielos, tuya también la tierra; El mundo y cuanto lo llena, tú lo fundaste.

12 T he north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon rejoice in thy name.

El norte y el sur, tú los creaste; El Tabor y el Hermón saltan de júbilo a tu nombre.

13 T hou hast a mighty arm; Strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

Tienes un brazo potente; Fuerte es tu mano, sublime tu diestra.

14 R ighteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne: Lovingkindness and truth go before thy face.

Justicia y juicio son el cimiento de tu trono; Misericordia y verdad van delante de tu rostro.

15 B lessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe aclamarte; Andará, oh Jehová, a la luz de tu rostro.

16 I n thy name do they rejoice all the day; And in thy righteousness are they exalted.

En tu nombre se alegrará todo el día, Y en tu justicia será enaltecido.

17 F or thou art the glory of their strength; And in thy favor our horn shall be exalted.

Porque tú eres el esplendor de su potencia, Y por tu buena voluntad acrecentarás nuestro poder.

18 F or our shield belongeth unto Jehovah; And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo, Y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.

19 T hen thou spakest in vision to thy saints, And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Entonces hablaste en visión a tus santos, Y dijiste: He puesto el poder de socorrer sobre uno que es poderoso; He exaltado a un escogido de mi pueblo.

20 I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:

Hallé a David mi siervo; Lo ungí con mi óleo santo.

21 W ith whom my hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.

Mi mano le sostendrá siempre, Y mi brazo lo fortalecerá.

22 T he enemy shall not exact from him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

No lo sorprenderá el enemigo, Ni el malvado lo humillará;

23 A nd I will beat down his adversaries before him, And smite them that hate him.

Sino que quebrantaré delante de él a sus enemigos, Y heriré a los que le aborrecen.

24 B ut my faithfulness and my lovingkindness shall be with him; And in my name shall his horn be exalted.

Mi verdad y mi misericordia estarán con él, Y en mi nombre será exaltado su poder.

25 I will set his hand also on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.

Asimismo pondré su izquierda sobre el mar, Y sobre el gran río su diestra.

26 H e shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.

Él me invocará: Mi padre eres tú, Mi Dios, y la roca de mi salvación.

27 I also will make him my first-born, The highest of the kings of the earth.

Yo también le nombraré mi primogénito, El más excelso de los reyes de la tierra.

28 M y lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.

Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia, Y mi pacto con él será estable.

29 H is seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

Estableceré su descendencia para siempre, Y su trono como los días de los cielos.

30 I f his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

Si dejan sus hijos mi ley, Y no andan en mis juicios,

31 I f they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

Si profanan mis estatutos, Y no guardan mis mandamientos,

32 T hen will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

Entonces castigaré con vara sus transgresiones, Y con azotes sus iniquidades.

33 B ut my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

Mas no retiraré de él mi misericordia, Ni desmentiré mi verdad.

34 M y covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

No olvidaré mi pacto, Ni mudaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.

35 O nce have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:

Una vez por todas he jurado por mi santidad, Y no mentiré a David.

36 H is seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.

Su descendencia durará por siempre, Y su trono como el sol delante de mí.

37 I t shall be established for ever as the moon, And as the faithful witness in the sky. Selah

Como la luna permanecerá para siempre, Y como un testigo fiel en el cielo. Selah

38 B ut thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

Mas tú desechaste y menospreciaste a tu ungido, Y te has airado con él.

39 T hou hast abhorred the covenant of thy servant: Thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

Rompiste el pacto de tu siervo; Has profanado su corona hasta la tierra.

40 T hou hast broken down all his hedges; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

Abriste brecha en todos sus vallados; Has destruido sus fortalezas.

41 A ll that pass by the way rob him: He is become a reproach to his neighbors.

Lo saquean todos los que pasan por el camino; Es la burla de sus vecinos.

42 T hou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

Has exaltado la diestra de sus enemigos; Has alegrado a todos sus adversarios.

43 Y ea, thou turnest back the edge of his sword, And hast not made him to stand in the battle.

Embotaste, en cambio, el filo de su espada, Y no lo sostuviste en la batalla.

44 T hou hast made his brightness to cease, And cast his throne down to the ground.

Hiciste cesar su gloria, Y echaste su trono por tierra.

45 T he days of his youth hast thou shortened: Thou hast covered him with shame. Selah

Has acortado los días de su juventud; Le has cubierto de afrenta. Selah

46 H ow long, O Jehovah? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? How long shall thy wrath burn like fire?

¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová? ¿Te esconderás para siempre? ¿Arderá tu ira como el fuego?

47 O h remember how short my time is: For what vanity hast thou created all the children of men!

Recuerda cuán breve es mi tiempo; ¿Habrás creado en vano a todo hijo de hombre?

48 W hat man is he that shall live and not see death, That shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah

¿Qué hombre vivirá sin ver la muerte? ¿Librará su vida del poder del Seol? Selah

49 L ord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, Which thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?

Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias, Que juraste a David por tu verdad?

50 R emember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; How I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty peoples,

Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos; Oprobio de muchos pueblos, que llevo en mi seno.

51 W herewith thine enemies have reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

Porque tus enemigos, oh Jehová, han deshonrado, Porque tus enemigos han deshonrado los pasos de tu ungido.

52 B lessed be Jehovah for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
