1 F inally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also it is with you;

Por lo demás, hermanos, orad por nosotros, para que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada, así como lo fue entre vosotros,

2 a nd that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for all have not faith.

y para que seamos librados de hombres perversos y malos; porque la fe no es de todos.

3 B ut the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.

Pero fiel es el Señor, que os afianzará y guardará del mal.

4 A nd we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command.

Y tenemos confianza respecto a vosotros en el Señor, en que hacéis y haréis lo que os ordenamos.

5 A nd the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

Y el Señor encamine vuestros corazones al amor de Dios, y a la paciencia de Cristo. El deber de trabajar

6 N ow we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received of us.

Pero os ordenamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que ande desordenadamente, y no según la enseñanza que recibisteis de nosotros.

7 F or yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Porque vosotros mismos sabéis de qué manera debéis imitarnos; pues nosotros no anduvimos desordenadamente entre vosotros,

8 n either did we eat bread for nought at any man's hand, but in labor and travail, working night and day, that we might not burden any of you:

ni comimos de balde el pan de nadie, sino que trabajamos con afán y fatiga día y noche, para no ser gravosos a ninguno de vosotros;

9 n ot because we have not the right, but to make ourselves and ensample unto you, that ye should imitate us.

no porque no tengamos derecho, sino por daros nosotros mismos un ejemplo para que nos imitéis.

10 F or even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.

Porque también cuando estábamos con vosotros, os ordenábamos esto: Si alguno no quiere trabajar, tampoco coma.

11 F or we hear of some that walk among you disorderly, that work not at all, but are busybodies.

Porque oímos que algunos de entre vosotros andan desordenadamente, no trabajando en nada, sino entremetiéndose en lo ajeno.

12 N ow them that are such we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

A los tales mandamos y exhortamos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que trabajando sosegadamente, coman su propio pan.

13 B ut ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.

Y vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer el bien.

14 A nd if any man obeyeth not our word by this epistle, note that man, that ye have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.

Y si alguno no obedece a lo que decimos por medio de esta carta, a ése señaladlo, y no os juntéis con él, para que se sienta avergonzado.

15 A nd yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Mas no lo tengáis por enemigo, sino amonestadle como a hermano. Saludo y bendición final

16 N ow the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.

Y el mismo Señor de paz os dé siempre paz en toda circunstancia. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.

17 T he salutation of me Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

La salutación es de mi propia mano, de Pablo, que es la señal distintiva en toda carta mía; así escribo.

18 T he grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
