1 I n thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in thy righteousness.

En ti, oh Jehová, he confiado; no sea yo confundido jamás; Líbrame por tu justicia.

2 B ow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily: Be thou to me a strong rock, A house of defence to save me.

Inclina a mí tu oído, líbrame pronto; Sé tú mi roca fuerte, y ciudadela para salvarme.

3 F or thou art my rock and my fortress; Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

Porque tú eres mi roca y mi castillo; Por tu nombre me guiarás y me encaminarás.

4 P luck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me; For thou art my stronghold.

Sácame de la red que me han tendido, Pues tú eres mi refugio.

5 I nto thy hand I commend my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O Jehovah, thou God of truth.

En tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu; Tú me has redimido, oh Jehová, Dios de verdad.

6 I hate them that regard lying vanities; But I trust in Jehovah.

Aborrezco a los que esperan en vanidades ilusorias; Mas yo en Jehová he esperado.

7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy lovingkindness; For thou hast seen my affliction: Thou hast known my soul in adversities;

Me gozaré y alegraré en tu misericordia, Porque has visto mi aflicción; Has conocido mi alma en angustias.

8 A nd thou hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; Thou hast set my feet in a large place.

No me entregaste en manos del enemigo; Pusiste mis pies en lugar espacioso.

9 H ave mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am in distress: Mine eye wasteth away with grief, yea, my soul and my body.

Ten misericordia de mí, oh Jehová, porque estoy en angustia; Se han consumido de tristeza mis ojos, mi alma también y mis entrañas.

10 F or my life is spent with sorrow, And my years with sighing: My strength faileth because of mine iniquity, And my bones are wasted away.

Porque mi vida se va gastando de dolor, y mis años de suspirar; Se agotan mis fuerzas a causa de mi aflicción, y mis huesos se han consumido.

11 B ecause of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintance: They that did see me without fled from me.

De todos mis enemigos soy objeto de oprobio, Y de mis vecinos mucho más, y el horror de mis conocidos; Los que me ven en la calle huyen de mí.

12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

He sido olvidado de su corazón como un muerto; He venido a ser como un vaso echado a perder.

13 F or I have heard the defaming of many, Terror on every side: While they took counsel together against me, They devised to take away my life.

Porque oigo el murmurar de muchos; El miedo me asalta por todas partes, Mientras se conjuran contra mí Y maquinan quitarme la vida.

14 B ut I trusted in thee, O Jehovah: I said, Thou art my God.

Mas yo en ti confío, oh Jehová; Digo: Tú eres mi Dios.

15 M y times are in thy hand: Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

En tu mano están mis tiempos; Líbrame de la mano de mis enemigos y de mis perseguidores.

16 M ake thy face to shine upon thy servant: Save me in thy lovingkindness.

Haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre tu siervo; Sálvame por tu misericordia.

17 L et me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

No sea yo avergonzado, oh Jehová, ya que te he invocado; Sean avergonzados los impíos, desciendan en silencio al Seol.

18 L et the lying lips be dumb, Which speak against the righteous insolently, With pride and contempt.

Enmudezcan los labios mentirosos, Que profieren insolencias contra el justo, Con soberbia y menosprecio.

19 O h how great is thy goodness, Which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, Which thou hast wrought for them that take refuge in thee, Before the sons of men!

¡Cuán grande es tu bondad, que has guardado para los que te temen, Que has mostrado a los que esperan en ti, delante de los hijos de los hombres!

20 I n the covert of thy presence wilt thou hide them from the plottings of man: Thou wilt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

En lo secreto de tu presencia los esconderás de la conspiración del hombre; Los pondrás en un tabernáculo a cubierto de lenguas pendencieras.

21 B lessed be Jehovah; For he hath showed me his marvellous lovingkindness in a strong city.

Bendito sea Jehová, Porque ha hecho admirable su misericordia para conmigo en ciudad fortificada.

22 A s for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: Nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications When I cried unto thee.

Decía yo en mi inquietud: Cortado soy de delante de tus ojos; Pero tú oías la voz de mis ruegos cuando a ti clamaba.

23 O h love Jehovah, all ye his saints: Jehovah preserveth the faithful, And plentifully rewardeth him that dealeth proudly.

Amad a Jehová, todos vosotros sus santos; A los fieles guarda Jehová, Y paga abundantemente al que procede con soberbia.

24 B e strong, and let your heart take courage, All ye that hope in Jehovah.

Esforzaos todos vosotros los que esperáis en Jehová, Y tome aliento vuestro corazón.
