1 N ow we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Así que, los que somos fuertes debemos soportar las flaquezas de los débiles, y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.

Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo para lo que es bueno con miras a su edificación.

3 F or Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

Porque ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: Los vituperios de los que te vituperaban, cayeron sobre mí.

4 F or whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

Porque las cosas que se escribieron en el pasado, para nuestra enseñanza se escribieron, a fin de que por medio de la paciencia y de la consolación de las Escrituras, tengamos esperanza.

5 N ow the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

Y el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación os dé entre vosotros un mismo sentir según Cristo Jesús,

6 t hat with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

para que unánimes, a una voz, glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. El evangelio a los gentiles

7 W herefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

Por tanto, acogeos los unos a los otros, como también Cristo nos acogió, para gloria de Dios.

8 F or I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,

Pues os digo, que Cristo Jesús se puso al servicio de los de la circuncisión para mostrar la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas hechas a los padres,

9 a nd that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

y para que los gentiles glorifiquen a Dios por su misericordia, como está escrito: Por tanto, te confesaré entre los gentiles, Y cantaré a tu nombre.

10 A nd again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Y otra vez dice: Alegraos, gentiles, con su pueblo.

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

Y otra vez: Alabad al Señor todos los gentiles, Y ensalzadlo todos los pueblos.

12 A nd again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.

Y otra vez dice Isaías: Vendrá la raíz de Isay, Y el que se levantará a regir a los gentiles; Los gentiles esperarán en él.

13 N ow the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Y el Dios de la esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abundéis en la esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo.

14 A nd I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Pero estoy convencido de vosotros, hermanos míos, de que vosotros mismos estáis llenos de bondad, llenos de todo conocimiento, y capacitados también para amonestaros los unos a los otros.

15 B ut I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,

Mas os he escrito, hermanos, en parte con atrevimiento, como para reavivar vuestros recuerdos, por la gracia que de Dios me es dada

16 t hat I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

para ser ministro de Jesucristo a los gentiles, administrando el evangelio de Dios, para que los gentiles le sean ofrenda agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo que a Dios se refiere.

18 F or I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

Porque no me atreveré a hablar sino de lo que Cristo ha hecho por medio de mí para la obediencia de los gentiles, con la palabra y con las obras,

19 i n the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

con potencia de señales y prodigios, en el poder del Espíritu de Dios; de manera que desde Jerusalén, y por los alrededores hasta Ilírico, todo lo he llenado del evangelio de Cristo.

20 y ea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;

Y de esta manera me esforcé por predicar el evangelio, no donde el nombre de Cristo ya hubiese sido pronunciado, para no edificar sobre fundamento ajeno,

21 b ut, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.

sino, como está escrito: Aquellos a quienes nunca les fue anunciado acerca de él, verán; Y los que nunca han oído de él, entenderán. Deseo de Pablo de visitar Roma

22 W herefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:

Y por esta causa me he visto impedido muchas veces de ir a vosotros.

23 b ut now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,

Pero ahora, no teniendo ya más campo en estas regiones, y deseando desde hace muchos años ir a vosotros,

24 w hensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

cuando vaya a España, iré a vosotros; porque espero veros al pasar, y ser encaminado allá por vosotros, una vez que haya disfrutado de vuestra compañía por un poco.

25 b ut now, I say, I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.

Mas ahora voy a Jerusalén para el servicio de los santos.

26 F or it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.

Porque Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron a bien hacer una colecta para los pobres que hay entre los santos que están en Jerusalén.

27 Y ea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to minister unto them in carnal things.

Pues les pareció bien, y son deudores a ellos; porque si los gentiles han sido hechos participantes de sus bienes espirituales, deben también ellos servirles con sus bienes temporales.

28 W hen therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.

Así que, cuando haya concluido esto, y les haya entregado este fruto, pasaré entre vosotros rumbo a España.

29 A nd I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.

Y sé que cuando vaya a vosotros, llegaré con abundancia de la bendición del evangelio de Cristo.

30 N ow I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

Pero os ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu, que ayudéis con vuestras oraciones a Dios por mí,

31 t hat I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and that my ministration which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

para que sea librado de los desobedientes que están en Judea, y que la ofrenda de mi servicio a los santos en Jerusalén sea acepta;

32 t hat I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

para que llegue a vosotros con gozo por la voluntad de Dios, y que encuentre algún descanso juntamente con vosotros.

33 N ow the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Y el Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
