1 D eliver me from mine enemies, O my God: Set me on high from them that rise up against me.

2 D eliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from the bloodthirsty men.

Líbrame de los que cometen iniquidad, Y sálvame de hombres sanguinarios.

3 F or, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; The mighty gather themselves together against me: Not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.

Porque he aquí, están acechando mi vida; Se han juntado contra mí poderosos. No por falta mía, ni pecado mío, oh Jehová;

4 T hey run and prepare themselves without my fault: Awake thou to help me, and behold.

Sin delito mío corren y se apostan. Despierta para venir a mi encuentro, y mira.

5 E ven thou, O Jehovah God of hosts, the God of Israel, Arise to visit all the nations: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah

Tú, Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, Levántate para castigar a todos los gentiles; No tengas misericordia de ninguno de los pérfidos traidores. Selah

6 T hey return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go round about the city.

Volverán a la tarde, ladrarán como perros, Y rondarán la ciudad.

7 B ehold, they belch out with their mouth; Swords are in their lips: For who, say they, doth hear?

Míralos desbarrar a boca llena; Espadas hay en sus labios, Porque dicen: ¿Quién lo oye?

8 B ut thou, O Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; Thou wilt have all the nations in derision.

Mas tú, Jehová, te reirás de ellos; Te burlarás de todos los gentiles.

9 B ecause of his strength I will give heed unto thee; For God is my high tower.

Fortaleza mía, hacia ti me vuelvo, Porque Dios es mi refugio.

10 M y God with his lovingkindness will meet me: God will let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

Mi Dios me saldrá al encuentro con su misericordia; Dios hará que vea la derrota de mis enemigos.

11 S lay them not, lest my people forget: Scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

No los mates de repente, para que mi pueblo no lo olvide; Dispérsalos con tu poder, y abátelos, Oh Jehová, escudo nuestro.

12 F or the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for cursing and lying which they speak.

Por el pecado de su boca, por la palabra de sus labios, Y por la maldición y mentira que profieren, Queden prendidos en su insolencia.

13 C onsume them in wrath, consume them, so that they shall be no more: And let them know that God ruleth in Jacob, Unto the ends of the earth. Selah

Acábalos con tu furor, acábalos, para que no existan más; Y sépase que Dios gobierna en Jacob, Hasta los confines de la tierra. Selah

14 A nd at evening let them return, let them howl like a dog, And go round about the city.

Volverán a la tarde, ladrarán como perros, Y rondarán la ciudad.

15 T hey shall wander up and down for food, And tarry all night if they be not satisfied.

Andan errantes para hallar qué comer; Y si no se sacian, pasan la noche gruñendo.

16 B ut I will sing of thy strength; Yea, I will sing aloud of thy lovingkindness in the morning: For thou hast been my high tower, And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Pero yo cantaré tu poder, Y alabaré de mañana tu misericordia; Porque has sido mi amparo Y refugio en el día de mi angustia.

17 U nto thee, O my strength, will I sing praises: For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.

Fortaleza mía, a ti cantaré; Porque eres, oh Dios, mi refugio, el Dios que tiene misericordia de mí.
