1 R ejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous: Praise is comely for the upright.

ALEGRAOS, justos, en Jehová: A los rectos es hermosa la alabanza.

2 G ive thanks unto Jehovah with the harp: Sing praises unto him with the psaltery of ten strings.

Celebrad á Jehová con arpa: Cantadle con salterio y decacordio.

3 S ing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.

Cantadle canción nueva: Hacedlo bien tañendo con júbilo.

4 F or the word of Jehovah is right; And all his work is done in faithfulness.

Porque recta es la palabra de Jehová, Y toda su obra con verdad hecha.

5 H e loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.

El ama justicia y juicio: De la misericordia de Jehová está llena la tierra.

6 B y the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Por la palabra de Jehová fueron hechos los cielos, Y todo el ejército de ellos por el espíritu de su boca.

7 H e gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: He layeth up the deeps in store-houses.

El junta como en un montón las aguas de la mar: El pone en depósitos los abismos.

8 L et all the earth fear Jehovah: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

Tema á Jehová toda la tierra: Teman de él todos los habitadores del mundo.

9 F or he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Porque él dijo, y fué hecho; El mandó, y existió.

10 J ehovah bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

Jehová hace nulo el consejo de las gentes, Y frustra las maquinaciones de los pueblos.

11 T he counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

El consejo de Jehová permanecerá para siempre; Los pensamientos de su corazón por todas las generaciones.

12 B lessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Bienaventurada la gente de que Jehová es su Dios; El pueblo á quien escogió por heredad para sí.

13 J ehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;

Desde los cielos miró Jehová; Vió á todos los hijos de los hombres:

14 F rom the place of his habitation he looketh forth Upon all the inhabitants of the earth,

Desde la morada de su asiento miró Sobre todos los moradores de la tierra.

15 H e that fashioneth the hearts of them all, That considereth all their works.

El formó el corazón de todos ellos; El considera todas sus obras.

16 T here is no king saved by the multitude of a host: A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

El rey no es salvo con la multitud del ejército: No escapa el valiente por la mucha fuerza.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; Neither doth he deliver any by his great power.

Vanidad es el caballo para salvarse: Por la grandeza de su fuerza no librará.

18 B ehold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;

He aquí, el ojo de Jehová sobre los que le temen, Sobre los que esperan en su misericordia;

19 T o deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

Para librar sus almas de la muerte, Y para darles vida en el hambre.

20 O ur soul hath waited for Jehovah: He is our help and our shield.

Nuestra alma esperó á Jehová; Nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo es él.

21 F or our heart shall rejoice in him, Because we have trusted in his holy name.

Por tanto en él se alegrará nuestro corazón, Porque en su santo nombre hemos confiado.

22 L et thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, According as we have hoped in thee.

Sea tu misericordia, oh Jehová, sobre nosotros, Como esperamos en ti.
