1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Господь сказал Моисею: – Пойди к фараону и скажи ему: «Так говорит Господь: Отпусти Мой народ поклониться Мне.

2 A nd if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

Если ты откажешься, Я наведу на всю твою страну лягушек.

3 a nd the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into thy house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs:

Нил будет кишеть лягушками. Они вылезут из реки и придут в твой дворец, в спальню, на постель, в дома твоих приближенных и народа, в твои печи и в квашни.

4 a nd the frogs shall come up both upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.

Лягушки будут прыгать на тебя, на твой народ и на твоих приближенных».

5 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thy hand with thy rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.

Господь сказал Моисею: – Скажи Аарону: «Занеси руку с посохом над реками, каналами и прудами и наведи лягушек на египетскую землю».

6 A nd Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

Аарон занес руку с посохом над водами Египта, и вылезли лягушки и покрыли всю землю.

7 A nd the magicians did in like manner with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.

Но чародеи с помощью колдовства сделали то же самое. Они тоже навели лягушек на Египет.

8 T hen Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Entreat Jehovah, that he take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice unto Jehovah.

Фараон позвал Моисея и Аарона и сказал: – Помолитесь Господу, чтобы Он избавил от лягушек меня и мой народ, и я отпущу народ принести жертву Господу.

9 A nd Moses said unto Pharaoh, Have thou this glory over me: against what time shall I entreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, that the frogs be destroyed from thee and thy houses, and remain in the river only?

Моисей сказал фараону: – Я предоставляю тебе честь выбрать, когда мне помолиться за тебя, за твоих приближенных и народ. После этого лягушки уйдут от тебя и из твоих дворцов и останутся только в Ниле.

10 A nd he said, Against to-morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word; that thou mayest know that there is none like unto Jehovah our God.

– Завтра, – сказал фараон. Моисей ответил: – Будет по-твоему для того, чтобы ты узнал: нет никого, подобного Господу, нашему Богу.

11 A nd the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.

Лягушки уйдут от тебя и из твоих дворцов, от твоих приближенных и народа. Они останутся только в Ниле.

12 A nd Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto Jehovah concerning the frogs which he had brought upon Pharaoh.

Моисей и Аарон ушли от фараона, и Моисей попросил Господа уничтожить всех лягушек, которых Он навел на фараона.

13 A nd Jehovah did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.

Господь исполнил просьбу Моисея. Лягушки вымерли в домах, во дворах и на полях.

14 A nd they gathered them together in heaps; and the land stank.

Их собирали в кучи, и земля начала испускать зловоние.

15 B ut when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them, as Jehovah had spoken.

Но когда фараон увидел, что пришло облегчение, его сердце исполнилось упрямством, и он опять не послушал Моисея и Аарона, как и говорил Господь. Третье наказание: комары

16 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the earth, that is may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Господь сказал Моисею: – Скажи Аарону: «Подними посох и ударь по пыли на земле: по всему Египту пыль превратится в комаров».

17 A nd they did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and there were lice upon man, and upon beast; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

Они сделали так. Аарон поднял руку с посохом, ударил по пыли, и на людей и скот налетели комары. Пыль по всему Египту превратилась в комаров.

18 A nd the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: and there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

Чародеи попытались с помощью колдовства навести комаров, но не смогли. Комары облепляли людей и скотину.

19 T hen the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spoken.

И тогда чародеи сказали фараону: – Это сделал Бог. Но сердце фараона оставалось упрямым. Он не послушал их, как и говорил Господь. Четвертое наказание: мухи

20 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Господь сказал Моисею: – Поднимись завтра рано утром, встань перед фараоном, когда он пойдет к реке, и скажи ему: «Так говорит Господь: Отпусти Мой народ поклониться Мне.

21 E lse, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon they servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

Если не отпустишь, Я пошлю на тебя, на твоих приближенных, на твой народ и в твои дворцы рои мух. Дома египтян наполнятся мухами и вся земля будет покрыта ими.

22 A nd I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am Jehovah in the midst of the earth.

Но Я сделаю так, что в земле Гошен, где живет Мой народ, не будет мух, чтобы ты знал – Я, Господь, пребываю в той земле.

23 A nd I will put a division between my people and thy people: by to-morrow shall this sign be.

Я сделаю различие между Моим и твоим народом. Это знамение будет завтра».

24 A nd Jehovah did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses: and in all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies.

Господь так и сделал. Густые рои мух налетели во дворец фараона и в дома его приближенных. Из-за мух погибала вся египетская земля.

25 A nd Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.

Фараон позвал Моисея и Аарона и сказал: – Идите, принесите жертву вашему Богу в этой стране.

26 A nd Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Jehovah our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

Но Моисей сказал: – Так делать нельзя. То, что мы приносим в жертву Господу, нашему Богу, для египтян – мерзость. Если мы станем приносить жертву, которой они гнушаются, они забьют нас камнями.

27 W e will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Jehovah our God, as he shall command us.

Нет, чтобы принести жертву Господу, нашему Богу, как Он велел, нам нужно удалиться на три дня в пустыню.

28 A nd Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to Jehovah your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: entreat for me.

Фараон сказал: – Я отпущу вас принести жертву Господу, вашему Богу, в пустыню, но только не уходите далеко. Помолитесь и обо мне.

29 A nd Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will entreat Jehovah that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to-morrow: only let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Jehovah.

Моисей ответил: – Как только я уйду от тебя, я помолюсь Господу, и завтра мухи оставят тебя, твоих приближенных и народ. Но и ты больше не обманывай, не отпуская народ принести жертву Господу.

30 A nd Moses went out from Pharaoh, and entreated Jehovah.

Моисей ушел от фараона и помолился Господу.

31 A nd Jehovah did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

Господь сделал то, что просил Моисей: избавил фараона, его приближенных и народ от мух. Ни одной мухи не осталось.

32 A nd Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and he did not let the people go.

Но и на этот раз сердце фараона осталось упрямым, и он не отпустил народ.
