1 H e that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Живущий под кровом Всевышнего в тени Всемогущего покоится.

2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.

Скажу о Господе: «Он – мое прибежище и крепость моя, Бог мой, на Которого уповаю».

3 F or he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.

Он избавит тебя от сети ловца, и от гибельной язвы.

4 H e will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.

Он укроет тебя Своими перьями, и под Его крыльями ты найдешь прибежище. Его истина будет тебе щитом и броней.

5 T hou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Не убоишься ни ужасов в ночи, ни стрелы, летящей днем,

6 F or the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

ни язвы, ходящей во мраке, ни заразы, опустошающей в полдень.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee.

Тысяча падет около тебя, и десять тысяч справа от тебя, но к тебе не приблизится.

8 O nly with thine eyes shalt thou behold, And see the reward of the wicked.

Только глазами своими будешь смотреть и увидишь возмездие нечестивым.

9 F or thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;

Потому что ты избрал Господа, прибежище мое, своей обителью;

10 T here shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

не пристанет к тебе зло, и язва не приблизится к твоему жилищу.

11 F or he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways.

Ведь Он Своим ангелам повелит о тебе – охранять тебя на всех твоих путях.

12 T hey shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Они понесут тебя на руках, чтобы ноги твои не ударились о камень.

13 T hou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot.

На льва и на змею наступишь, растопчешь молодого льва и дракона.

14 B ecause he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Господь говорит: «Сохраню его, потому что он любит Меня, защищу его, потому что он знает Мое Имя.

15 H e shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.

Когда воззовет ко Мне, Я отвечу: в беде буду с ним, избавлю его и прославлю.

16 W ith long life will I satisfy him, And show him my salvation.

Насыщу его долголетием и явлю ему Мое спасение».
