1 I n those days, when there was again a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them,

В те же дни, когда опять собралась большая толпа и у людей не было еды, Иисус подозвал учеников и сказал:

2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat:

– Мне жаль этих людей, они со Мной вот уже три дня, и у них не осталось еды.

3 a nd if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far.

Если Я отпущу их по домам голодными, то они в дороге ослабеют, ведь некоторые пришли издалека.

4 A nd his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place?

– Как же здесь, в этой пустыне, найти достаточно хлеба, чтобы их накормить? – удивились ученики.

5 A nd he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

– Сколько у вас хлебов? – спросил Иисус. – Семь, – ответили ученики.

6 A nd he commandeth the multitude to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he brake, and gave to his disciples, to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

Иисус велел людям возлечь на землю. Затем Он взял семь хлебов и, поблагодарив за них Бога, стал разламывать на куски, передавая ученикам, а те раздавали хлеб народу.

7 A nd they had a few small fishes: and having blessed them, he commanded to set these also before them.

Было у них и несколько рыбок; Иисус благословил их и тоже велел раздать.

8 A nd they ate, and were filled: and they took up, of broken pieces that remained over, seven baskets.

Люди ели и насытились, и еще набралось семь корзин остатков.

9 A nd they were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

А было там только мужчин около четырех тысяч человек. Иисус отпустил народ

10 A nd straightway he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

и сразу же, сев вместе с учениками в лодку, отправился в земли Далмануты. Религиозные вожди требуют знамения с неба (Мат. 16: 1-4)

11 A nd the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.

К Иисусу подошли фарисеи и стали с Ним спорить. Они хотели испытать Его и требовали от Него знамения с неба.

12 A nd he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Иисус глубоко вздохнул и спросил: – Почему это поколение требует знамения? Говорю вам истину, ему не будет дано никакого знамения.

13 A nd he left them, and again entering into the boat departed to the other side.

И, оставив их, Он снова сел в лодку и отправился на другую сторону озера. Иисус предостерегает от ложных учений (Мат. 16: 5-12)

14 A nd they forgot to take bread; and they had not in the boat with them more than one loaf.

Ученики забыли взять с собой хлеба, и в лодке у них был всего один хлеб.

15 A nd he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.

А Иисус предостерегал их: – Смотрите, берегитесь закваски фарисеев и закваски Ирода.

16 A nd they reasoned one with another, saying, We have no bread.

Ученики стали рассуждать между собой: – Он говорит это потому, что у нас нет хлеба?

17 A nd Jesus perceiving it saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? do ye not yet perceive, neither understand? have ye your heart hardened?

Зная, о чем они говорят, Иисус сказал: – Почему вы рассуждаете о том, что у вас нет хлеба? Неужели вы все еще не сознаете и не понимаете? Неужели сердца ваши совсем окаменели?

18 H aving eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

У вас есть глаза, и вы не видите? Есть уши, и вы не слышите? Неужели вы не помните?

19 W hen I brake the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

Когда Я разделил пять хлебов на пять тысяч человек, сколько полных корзин остатков вы набрали? – Двенадцать, – ответили ученики.

20 A nd when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces took ye up? And they say unto him, Seven.

– А когда семь хлебов на четыре тысячи, сколько полных корзин остатков вы набрали? – Семь, – ответили те.

21 A nd he said unto them, Do ye not yet understand?

– Так неужели вы все еще не понимаете? – сказал Иисус. Иисус возвращает зрение слепому

22 A nd they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.

Когда они пришли в Вифсаиду, к Иисусу привели слепого и попросили прикоснуться к нему.

23 A nd he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught?

Иисус взял слепого за руку, вывел из селения, плюнул ему на глаза и, возложив на него руки, спросил: – Видишь что-нибудь?

24 A nd he looked up, and said, I see men; for I behold them as trees, walking.

Тот посмотрел вокруг и сказал: – Вижу людей: словно двигаются деревья.

25 T hen again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked stedfastly, and was restored, and saw all things clearly.

Иисус еще раз приложил руки к его глазам, и он исцелился, зрение вернулось к нему, и он стал видеть все четко и ясно.

26 A nd he sent him away to his home, saying, Do not even enter into the village.

Иисус отправил его домой, сказав: – Смотри, в селение не заходи. Петр признает в Иисусе Мессию (Мат. 16: 13-16, 20; Лк. 9: 18-21)

27 A nd Jesus went forth, and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi: and on the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?

Иисус с учениками пошел в селения, прилегающие к Кесарии Филипповой. По дороге Иисус спросил их: – За кого принимают Меня люди?

28 A nd they told him, saying, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, One of the prophets.

Ученики ответили: – За Иоанна Крестителя; другие же – за Илию; а некоторые – за одного из пророков.

29 A nd he asked them, But who say ye that I am? Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

– А вы кем считаете Меня? – спросил их Иисус. Петр ответил: – Ты – Мессия.

30 A nd he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

Но Иисус велел им никому не говорить о Нем. Иисус впервые говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении (Мат. 16: 21-23; Лк. 9: 22)

31 A nd he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

И Он начал учить их, что Сыну Человеческому предстоит много пострадать и быть отвергнутым старейшинами, первосвященниками и учителями Закона, что Он будет убит, и через три дня воскреснет.

32 A nd he spake the saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

Он прямо говорил об этом. Тогда Петр отвел Его в сторону и стал возражать.

33 B ut he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men.

Иисус же, обернувшись и посмотрев на учеников, строго сказал Петру: – Прочь от Меня, сатана! Ты думаешь не о Божьем, а о человеческом. Что значит быть последователем Иисуса? (Мат. 16: 24-28; Лк. 9: 23-27)

34 A nd he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Подозвав народ и Своих учеников, Иисус сказал им: – Если кто хочет идти за Мной, пусть отречется от самого себя, возьмет свой крест и пусть следует за Мной.

35 F or whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.

Потому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет ее, а кто потеряет свою жизнь ради Меня и Радостной Вести, тот спасет ее.

36 F or what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?

Ведь что пользы человеку приобрести весь мир, если при этом он повредит своей душе?

37 F or what should a man give in exchange for his life?

И что человек может дать в обмен за свою душу?

38 F or whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов в этом безбожном и грешном поколении, того и Сын Человеческий постыдится, когда придет в славе Своего Отца со святыми ангелами.
