1 F or every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

Ведь каждый первосвященник избирается из людей и поставляется на служение для того, чтобы представлять людей перед Богом, принося Ему дары и жертвы за грехи.

2 w ho can bear gently with the ignorant and erring, for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity;

Такой первосвященник может понять и незнающих, и тех, кто сбился с пути, так как он сам подвержен слабостям;

3 a nd by reason thereof is bound, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

и по этой причине он должен приносить жертвы и за свои собственные грехи, и за грехи народа.

4 A nd no man taketh the honor unto himself, but when he is called of God, even as was Aaron.

Эту честь человек не может присвоить себе сам, он должен быть призван Богом, как в свое время был призван Аарон.

5 S o Christ also glorified not himself to be made a high priest, but he that spake unto him, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee:

Христос тоже не Сам прославил Себя, став Первосвященником, но Бог сказал Ему: «Ты Сын Мой, сегодня Я родил Тебя».

6 a s he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.

И в другом месте Он говорит: «Ты – священник навеки по чину Мелхиседека ».

7 W ho in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

Во время Своей земной жизни Иисус громко, с воплем и со слезами молился Тому, Кто мог избавить Его от смерти, и Он был услышан за Свою почтительность.

8 t hough he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered;

Несмотря на то, что Он был Сыном, Он через Свои страдания научился послушанию

9 a nd having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;

и, полностью приготовившись, сделался источником вечного спасения для всех, кто послушен Ему.

10 n amed of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

Сам Бог назвал Его священником по чину Мелхиседека. Предостережение об отступничестве

11 O f whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing.

Мы могли бы говорить об этом еще больше, но вам трудно это объяснить, потому что вы обленились и сделались неспособны слушать.

12 F or when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.

Судя по времени, вам следует уже быть учителями, но пока что вы сами нуждаетесь в учителях, которые бы учили вас основным истинам Божьего слова. Вам опять нужно питаться молоком, а не твердой пищей.

13 F or every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.

А всякий, кто питается молоком, – все еще младенец, и плохо знает, что такое праведность.

14 B ut solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

Твердая же пища – для людей зрелых, чувства которых опытом приучены различать, где добро, а где зло.
