1 I will extol thee, O Jehovah; for thou hast raised me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Превозношу Тебя, Господи, за то, что Ты поднял меня из бездны и не дал моим врагам возрадоваться надо мной.

2 O Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Господи, мой Бог, я на помощь Тебя призвал, и Ты меня исцелил.

3 O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Господи, Ты вывел душу мою из мира мертвых. Ты сохранил мне жизнь, чтобы я не сошел в пропасть.

4 S ing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial name.

Пойте Господу, верные Ему, славьте святое Имя Его!

5 F or his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.

Потому что гнев Его длится миг, а милость Его – всю жизнь. На ночлег останется плач, а утром приходит радость.

6 A s for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

В благополучии я сказал: «Вовек не поколеблюсь».

7 T hou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

Милостив Ты был ко мне, Господи, и утвердил меня, словно гору. Но лишь сокрыл Ты Свое лицо, как ужас объял меня.

8 I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication:

К Тебе я взывал, Господи; Владыку о милости я умолял:

9 W hat profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

«Что за польза от смерти моей, если я низойду в бездну? Будет ли прах Тебя славить? Будет ли верность Твою возвещать?

10 H ear, O Jehovah, and have mercy upon me: Jehovah, be thou my helper.

Услышь, Господи, и помилуй меня! Будь мне помощником, Господи!»

11 T hou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

В танец радости Ты обратил мой плач, снял лохмотья с меня и весельем меня препоясал,

12 T o the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

чтобы сердце мое Тебе пело и не смолкало. Господи, мой Бог, буду славить Тебя вовеки!
