1 I will extol thee, O Jehovah; for thou hast raised me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Te glorificaré, Jehová, porque me has exaltado y no has permitido que mis enemigos se alegren de mí.

2 O Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Jehová, Dios mío, a ti clamé y me sanaste.

3 O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Jehová, hiciste subir mi alma del seol. Me diste vida, para que no descendiera a la sepultura.

4 S ing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial name.

¡Cantad a Jehová, vosotros sus santos, y celebrad la memoria de su santidad!,

5 F or his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.

porque por un momento será su ira, pero su favor dura toda la vida. Por la noche durará el lloro y a la mañana vendrá la alegría.

6 A s for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

En mi prosperidad dije yo: «No seré jamás conmovido»,

7 T hou, Jehovah, of thy favor hadst made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face; I was troubled.

porque tú, Jehová, con tu favor me afirmaste como a monte fuerte. Escondiste tu rostro, fui turbado.

8 I cried to thee, O Jehovah; And unto Jehovah I made supplication:

A ti, Jehová, clamaré; al Señor suplicaré.

9 W hat profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

¿Qué provecho hay en mi muerte cuando descienda a la sepultura? ¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?

10 H ear, O Jehovah, and have mercy upon me: Jehovah, be thou my helper.

Oye, Jehová, y ten misericordia de mí; Jehová, ¡sé tú mi ayudador!

11 T hou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Has cambiado mi lamento en baile; me quitaste la ropa áspera y me vestiste de alegría.

12 T o the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Por tanto, a ti cantaré, gloria mía, y no estaré callado. Jehová Dios mío, ¡te alabaré para siempre!
