1 A t that time Jehovah said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

»En aquel tiempo Jehová me dijo: “Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las primeras, y sube hasta mí al monte. Hazte también un arca de madera.

2 A nd I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

Yo escribiré en esas tablas las palabras que estaban en las primeras tablas que quebraste, y tú las pondrás en el Arca.”

3 S o I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.

»Hice un arca de madera de acacia, labré dos tablas de piedra como las primeras y subí al monte con las dos tablas en mis manos.

4 A nd he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Jehovah gave them unto me.

Él escribió en las tablas lo mismo que había escrito antes: los diez mandamientos que Jehová había proclamado en el monte de en medio del fuego, el día de la asamblea. Y me las entregó Jehová.

5 A nd I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Jehovah commanded me.

Entonces me volví, descendí del monte y puse las tablas en el Arca que había hecho. Allí están todavía, como Jehová me lo mandó.

6 ( And the children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

»(Después salieron los hijos de Israel de Beerot-bene-jaacán a Mosera. Allí murió Aarón y allí fue sepultado. Le sucedió en el sacerdocio su hijo Eleazar.

7 F rom thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

De allí partieron a Gudgoda, y de Gudgoda a Jotbata, tierra de arroyos de aguas.

8 A t that time Jehovah set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

En aquel tiempo apartó Jehová la tribu de Leví para que llevara el Arca del pacto de Jehová, para que estuviera delante de Jehová y lo sirviera, y para bendecir en su nombre, hasta el día de hoy.

9 W herefore Levi hath no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; Jehovah is his inheritance, according as Jehovah thy God spake unto him.)

Por eso Leví no tuvo parte ni heredad entre sus hermanos: Jehová es su heredad, como Jehová, tu Dios, le dijo.)

10 A nd I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Jehovah hearkened unto me that time also; Jehovah would not destroy thee.

»Yo estuve en el monte, como la primera vez, cuarenta días y cuarenta noches. Jehová también me escuchó esta vez y no quiso destruirte.

11 A nd Jehovah said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

Me dijo Jehová: “Levántate, disponte a marchar delante del pueblo, para que entren y tomen posesión de la tierra que juré a sus padres que les había de dar.” Lo que Dios exige

12 A nd now, Israel, what doth Jehovah thy God require of thee, but to fear Jehovah thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

»Ahora, pues, Israel, ¿qué pide de ti Jehová, tu Dios, sino que temas a Jehová, tu Dios, que andes en todos sus caminos, que ames y sirvas a Jehová, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,

13 t o keep the commandments of Jehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

que guardes los mandamientos de Jehová y sus estatutos, que yo te prescribo hoy, para que tengas prosperidad?

14 B ehold, unto Jehovah thy God belongeth heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.

De Jehová, tu Dios, son los cielos y los cielos de los cielos, la tierra y todas las cosas que hay en ella.

15 O nly Jehovah had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.

Sin embargo, solamente de tus padres se agradó Jehová y los amó; y después de ellos escogió su descendencia, a vosotros, de entre todos los pueblos, como sucede hoy.

16 C ircumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

»Circuncidad, pues, el prepucio de vuestro corazón, y no endurezcáis más vuestra cerviz.

17 F or Jehovah your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.

Porque Jehová, vuestro Dios, es Dios de dioses y Señor de señores, Dios grande, poderoso y temible, que no hace acepción de personas, ni recibe sobornos,

18 H e doth execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth the sojourner, in giving him food and raiment.

que hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda, que ama también al extranjero y le da pan y vestido.

19 L ove ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

Amaréis, pues, al extranjero, porque extranjeros fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto.

20 T hou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.

»A Jehová, tu Dios, temerás, a él sólo servirás, a él seguirás y en su nombre jurarás.

21 H e is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

Él es el objeto de tu alabanza y él es tu Dios, que ha hecho contigo estas cosas grandes y terribles que tus ojos han visto.

22 T hy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now Jehovah thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.

Con setenta personas descendieron tus padres a Egipto, pero ahora Jehová ha hecho que te multipliques como las estrellas del cielo.
