1 A nd he said unto Moses, Come up unto Jehovah, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off:

Dijo Jehová a Moisés: —Sube ante Jehová, junto con Aarón, Nadab, Abiú y setenta de los ancianos de Israel; y os inclinaréis de lejos.

2 a nd Moses alone shall come near unto Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.

Pero sólo Moisés se acercará a Jehová; que ellos no se acerquen ni suba el pueblo con él.

3 A nd Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the ordinances: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Jehovah hath spoken will we do.

Moisés fue y le contó al pueblo todas las palabras de Jehová, y todas las leyes. Y todo el pueblo respondió a una voz: —Cumpliremos todas las palabras que Jehová ha dicho.

4 A nd Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

Entonces Moisés escribió todas las palabras de Jehová, y levantándose de mañana edificó un altar y doce columnas al pie del monte, una por cada tribu de Israel.

5 A nd he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen unto Jehovah.

Luego envió jóvenes de los hijos de Israel, los cuales ofrecieron holocaustos y becerros como sacrificios de paz a Jehová.

6 A nd Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

Moisés tomó la mitad de la sangre, la puso en tazones y esparció la otra mitad de la sangre sobre el altar.

7 A nd he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Jehovah hath spoken will we do, and be obedient.

Después tomó el libro del pacto y lo leyó a oídos del pueblo, el cual dijo: —Obedeceremos y haremos todas las cosas que Jehová ha dicho.

8 A nd Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Jehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.

Entonces Moisés tomó la sangre, la roció sobre el pueblo y dijo: —Ésta es la sangre del pacto que Jehová ha hecho con vosotros sobre todas estas cosas.

9 T hen went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.

Subieron Moisés y Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, junto con setenta de los ancianos de Israel,

10 A nd they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness.

y vieron al Dios de Israel. Debajo de sus pies había como un embaldosado de zafiro, semejante al cielo cuando está sereno.

11 A nd upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: and they beheld God, and did eat and drink.

Pero no extendió su mano contra los príncipes de los hijos de Israel: ellos vieron a Dios, comieron y bebieron.

12 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law and the commandment, which I have written, that thou mayest teach them.

Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Sube a mí al monte y espera allá, y te daré tablas de piedra con la ley y los mandamientos que he escrito para enseñarles.

13 A nd Moses rose up, and Joshua his minister: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

Se levantó Moisés junto con Josué, su servidor, y Moisés subió al monte de Dios.

14 A nd he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: whosoever hath a cause, let him come near unto them.

A los ancianos les dijo: —Esperadnos aquí hasta que volvamos. Aarón y Hur estarán con vosotros; el que tenga algún asunto, acuda a ellos.

15 A nd Moses went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.

Entonces Moisés subió al monte. Una nube cubrió el monte,

16 A nd the glory of Jehovah abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

y la gloria de Jehová reposó sobre el monte Sinaí. La nube lo cubrió por seis días, y al séptimo día llamó a Moisés de en medio de la nube.

17 A nd the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

La apariencia de la gloria de Jehová era, a los ojos de los hijos de Israel, como un fuego abrasador en la cumbre del monte.

18 A nd Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

Moisés entró en medio de la nube y subió al monte. Y estuvo Moisés en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches.
