1 M oreover David and the captains of the host set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of them that did the work according to their service was:

2 o f the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.

De los hijos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Netanías y Asarela, hijos de Asaf, bajo la dirección de Asaf, el cual profetizaba bajo las órdenes del rey.

3 O f Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Jehovah.

De los hijos de Jedutún: Gedalías, Zeri, Jesaías, Hasabías, Matatías y Simei; seis, bajo la dirección de su padre Jedutún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para aclamar y alabar a Jehová.

4 O f Heman; the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

De los hijos de Hemán: Buquías, Matanías, Uziel, Sebuel, Jeremot, Hananías, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir y Mahaziot.

5 A ll these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

Todos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en las cosas de Dios, para exaltar su poder; y Dios dio a Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.

6 A ll these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

Todos ellos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios. Asaf, Jedutún y Hemán estaban por disposición del rey.

7 A nd the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in singing unto Jehovah, even all that were skilful, was two hundred fourscore and eight.

Su número, contando a sus hermanos, instruidos en el canto para Jehová, todos ellos aptos, era de doscientos ochenta y ocho.

8 A nd they cast lots for their offices, all alike, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

Echaron suertes para repartir los turnos del servicio, tanto el pequeño como el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.

9 N ow the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah; he and his brethren and sons were twelve:

La primera suerte recayó sobre el asafita José; la segunda, sobre Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos e hijos eran doce;

10 t he third to Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

la tercera, sobre Zacur, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

11 t he fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

la cuarta, sobre Izri, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

12 t he fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

la quinta, sobre Netanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

13 t he sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

la sexta, sobre Buquías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

14 t he seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve:
