1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Habló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive seed, and bear a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean.

«Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: La mujer, cuando conciba y dé a luz un hijo varón, quedará impura durante siete días; como en los días de su menstruación será impura.

3 A nd in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

Al octavo día se circuncidará al niño.

4 A nd she shall continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

Pero ella permanecerá treinta y tres días purificándose de su sangre. Ninguna cosa santa tocará, ni vendrá al santuario hasta que se cumplan los días de su purificación.

5 B ut if she bear a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity; and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.

Si da a luz una hija, quedará impura durante dos semanas, conforme a su separación, y sesenta y seis días estará purificándose de su sangre.

6 A nd when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest:

»Cuando los días de su purificación se cumplan, ya sea por un hijo o una hija, llevará al sacerdote un cordero de un año para holocausto, y un palomino o una tórtola para expiación, a la puerta del Tabernáculo de reunión.

7 a nd he shall offer it before Jehovah, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female.

El sacerdote los ofrecerá delante de Jehová y hará expiación por ella. Así quedará limpia del flujo de su sangre.» Ésta es la ley para la que da a luz un hijo o una hija.

8 A nd if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

Y si no tiene lo suficiente para un cordero, tomará entonces dos tórtolas o dos palominos, uno para holocausto y otro para expiación. El sacerdote hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia.
