1 A nd the lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;

Lo que tocó en suerte a los hijos de José iba desde el Jordán de Jericó hasta las aguas de Jericó, hacia el oriente, hacia el desierto que sube de Jericó por las montañas de Bet-el.

2 a nd it went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

Sale de Bet-el a Luz y pasa a lo largo del territorio de los arquitas hasta Atarot;

3 a nd it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.

baja hacia el occidente al territorio de los jafletitas, hasta el límite de Bet-horón la de abajo, y hasta Gezer, y sale al mar.

4 A nd the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Recibieron, pues, su heredad los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraín.

5 A nd the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;

El territorio de los hijos de Efraín por sus familias: El límite de su heredad era por el lado del oriente Atarot-adar hasta Bet-horón la de arriba.

6 a nd the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;

Continúa el límite hasta el mar y hasta Micmetat al norte, y da vuelta hacia el oriente hasta Taanat-silo, y de aquí pasa a Janoa.

7 a nd it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

De Janoa desciende a Atarot y a Naarat, toca Jericó y sale al Jordán.

8 F rom Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

De Tapúa se vuelve hacia el oeste por el arroyo Caná, y sale al mar. Ésta es la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Efraín por sus familias,

9 t ogether with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

además de las ciudades que se apartaron para los hijos de Efraín en medio de la heredad de los hijos de Manasés; todas las ciudades con sus aldeas.

10 A nd they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and are become servants to do taskwork.

Pero no expulsaron al cananeo que habitaba en Gezer, y por eso quedó el cananeo en medio de Efraín, hasta hoy, aunque sometido a tributo.
