1 A nd the lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;

На Иосифовите потомци се падна по жребие <земята> от Иордан при Ерихон при ерихонските води на изток в пустинята, <земята>, която възлиза от Ерихон през хълмистата страна до Ветил;

2 a nd it went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

и <границата> се простираше от Ветил до Луз, и минаваше през околността на Архиатарот,

3 a nd it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.

и слизаше на запад в околността на Яфлети до околността на долния Веторон и до Гезер и свършваше при морето.

4 A nd the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

И Иосифовите потомци, <племената на> Манасия и Ефрема, взеха наследството си.

5 A nd the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;

Пределът на ефремците, според семействата им, ето какъв беше: границата на наследството им към изток беше Атарот-адар до горния Веторон;

6 a nd the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;

и на север от Михметат границата се простираше към запад; и границата завиваше към изток до Танат-сило, и от там преминаваше на изток от Янох;

7 a nd it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

и слизаше от Янох до Атарот и до Наарат, и достигаше до Ерихон и свършваше при Иордан.

8 F rom Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

От Тапфуа границата отиваше към запад до потока Кана и свършваше при морето. Това е наследството на племето на ефремците според семействата им.

9 t ogether with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

Имаше и градове отделени за ефремците между наследството на манасийците, - всички тия градове със селата им.

10 A nd they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and are become servants to do taskwork.

Но те не изгониха ханаанците, които живееха в Гезер; но ханаанците живееха между ефремците, <както живеят и> до днес, и станаха поданни роби.
