1 N ow these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse saith, And the man who was raised on high saith, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel:

А тия са последните Давидови думи: - Давид Есеевият син рече: Мъжът, който бе издигнат на високо, Помазаникът на Бога Яковов И сладкият Израилев псалмопевец, рече:

2 T he Spirit of Jehovah spake by me, And his word was upon my tongue.

Духът на Господа говори чрез мене, И словото Му <дойде> на езика ми.

3 T he God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,

Бог Израилев рече, Скалата Израилева ми говори: Оня, който владее над човеци <нека бъде> праведен, <Нека бъде един>, който владее със страх от Бога;

4 H e shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, A morning without clouds, When the tender grass springeth out of the earth, Through clear shining after rain.

<И ще бъде> като утринна виделина, Когато изгрява слънцето В безоблачна зора, Като зеле <що никне> из земята От сиянието, което блясва след дъжд.

5 V erily my house is not so with God; Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things, and sure: For it is all my salvation, and all my desire, Although he maketh it not to grow.

Ако домът ми и да не е такъв пред Бога, Пак Той е направил с мене завет вечен. Нареден във всичко и твърд, <Който> е всичкото ми спасение и всичкото ми желание; И не ще ли {Или: ако и да не.} го направи да процъфти?

6 B ut the ungodly shall be all of them as thorns to be thrust away, Because they cannot be taken with the hand;

А всичките беззаконни ще бъдат като тръни, които се изхвърлят, Защото с ръце не се хващат.

7 B ut the man that toucheth them Must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear: And they shall be utterly burned with fire in their place.

А който се допре до тях Трябва да е въоръжен с желязо и с дръжка на копие; И ще бъдат изгорени с огън на самото си място.

8 T hese are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time.

Ето имената на силните мъже, които имаше Давид: тахмонецът Иосев-васевет, главен военачалник {Думите: Той беше асонецът Адинон, <се изоставят>. Виж. 1 Лет. 11: 11.}, който уби в една битка осемстотин души.

9 A nd after him was Eleazar the son of Dodai the son of an Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away.

След него беше Елеазар, син на Додо, син на един ахохиец, един от тримата силни мъже с Давида; когато Израилевите мъже се оттеглиха, след като бяха се заканили на събраните там на бой филистимци,

10 H e arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword; and Jehovah wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take spoil.

той стана та поразяваше филистимците, докато изнемощя ръката му и се залепи ръката му за ножа; така щото в оня ден Господ извърши голямо избавление, и людете се върнаха само за да съберат користи подир него.

11 A nd after him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a plot of ground full of lentils; and the people fled from the Philistines.

И след него беше Сама, син на арареца Агей; когато филистимците се бяха събрали в Лехий, гдето имаше частица земя пълна с леща, и людете побягнаха от филистимците,

12 B ut he stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and slew the Philistines; and Jehovah wrought a great victory.

той застана всред нивата та я защити и порази филистимците; и Господ извърши голямо избавление.

13 A nd three of the thirty chief men went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam; and the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

А <още> трима от тридесетте военачалници слязоха та дойдоха при Давида при Одоломската пещера в жетвено време; и филистимският стан бе разположен в Рафаимската долина.

14 A nd David was then in the stronghold; and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth-lehem.

И като беше Давид в това време в канарата, а филистимският гарнизон бе тогава във Витлеем,

15 A nd David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!

и Давид пожелавайки рече: Кой би ми дал да пия вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата?

16 A nd the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto Jehovah.

тия трима силни мъже пробиха филистимския стан та наляха вода от витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата, и взеха та донесоха на Давида. Но той отказа да я пие, а я възля Господу, като рече:

17 A nd he said, Be it far from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.

Далеч да бъде от мене, Господи, да сторя аз това! <Да пия ли> кръвта на мъжете, които ходиха с опасност за живота си? Затова отказа да я пие. Това сториха тия трима силни мъже.

18 A nd Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them, and had a name among the three.

А Иоавовият брат Ависей, Серуиният син, беше първият от тримата; той, като махаше копието си против триста души <неприятели>, уби ги, и си придоби име между тримата.

19 W as he not most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

Не беше ли той най-славният от тримата? затова им стана началник; обаче, не стигна до <първите> трима.

20 A nd Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he slew the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.

И Ванаия, син на Иодая, син на един храбър мъж от Кавсеил, който беше извършил храбри дела, уби двамата лъвовидни моавски мъже; тоже той слезе та уби лъва всред рова в многоснежния ден;

21 A nd he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

при това той уби египтянина, едрия мъж, египтянинът който държеше в ръката си копие; но той слезе при него <само> с тояга, и като грабна копието от ръката на египтянина, уби го със собственото му копие.

22 T hese things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among the three mighty men.

Тия неща стори Венаия Иодаевият син, и си придоби име между тия трима силни мъже.

23 H e was more honorable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

По-славен бе от тридесетте, но не достигна до <първите> трима. И Давид го постави над телохранителите си.

24 A sahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem,

Асаил, Иоавовият брат, беше между тридесетте; <също бяха> и Елханан, син на Додо от Витлеем;

25 S hammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

Сама ародецът; Елика ародецът:

26 H elez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

Хелис фалтянинът; Ирас, син на текоеца Екис;

27 A biezer the Anathothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

Авиезер анатонецът; Мевунай кусатецът;

28 Z almon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

Салмон ахохиецът; Маарай нетофатецът;

29 H eleb the son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

Хелев, син на нетофатеца Ваана; Итай, син на Ривай от Гавая на вениаминците;

30 B enaiah a Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash.

Ванаия пиратонецът; Идай от долината на Гаас;

31 A bialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

Ави-алвон арветецът; Азмавет варумецът;

32 E liahba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

Елиава саалвонецът; Ионатан от Ясиновите синове;

33 S hammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Ararite,

Сама арорецът; Ахаим, син на арореца Сарар;

34 E liphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maacathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

Елифелет, син на Аасве, син на маахатец; Елиам, син на гилонеца Ахитофел;

35 H ezro the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

Есрай кармилецът; Фаарай арвиецът;

36 I gal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

Игал, син на Натана от Сова; Ваний гадецът;

37 Z elek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armorbearers to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

Силек амонецът; оръженосец на Иоава Саруиния син; Наарай виротецът;

38 I ra the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

Ирас етерецът; Гарив етерецът;

39 U riah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
