1 S end ye the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

Пращайте агнета за княза на земята От Села {Или: Петра, т.е. скала.} в пустинята До хълма на сионовата дъщеря.

2 F or it shall be that, as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

Защото, подобно на скитаща се птица Изпъдена из гнездото си, Такива ще бъдат моавските дъщери при бродовете на Арнон.

3 G ive counsel, execute justice; make thy shade as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; betray not the fugitive.

Съветвай се, извърши правосъдие; Всред пладне направи сянката си като нощ; Скрий изпъдените, не издавай скитащия се.

4 L et mine outcasts dwell with thee; as for Moab, be thou a covert to him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nought, destruction ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

Изпъдените ми нека пришелствуват при тебе, Моаве; Бъди им покров от разорителя; Защото грабителят изчезна, разорителят престана. Потъпквачите се изтребиха от земята

5 A nd a throne shall be established in lovingkindness; and one shall sit thereon in truth, in the tent of David, judging, and seeking justice, and swift to do righteousness.

И с милост ще се утвърди престол; И на него ще седи, с истина, в Давидовия шатър, Оня, който съди и търси правосъдие и бърза да върши правда.

6 W e have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; even of his arrogancy, and his pride, and his wrath; his boastings are nought.

Чухме за гордостта на Моава, (той е много горд), За високоумието му, гордостта му и яростта му; <Но> лъжливите му хваления са суетни.

7 T herefore shall Moab wail for Moab, every one shall wail: for the raisin-cakes of Kir-hareseth shall ye mourn, utterly stricken.

Затова Моав ще възридае за Моава, - Всички ще възридаят; Ще охкате за сухо-гроздовите низаници на Кир-аресет, Горчиво поразени.

8 F or the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have broken down the choice branches thereof, which reached even unto Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness; its shoots were spread abroad, they passed over the sea.

Защото нивите на Есевон <и> лозето на Севма са посърнали; Господарите на народите счупиха отбраните му садения, Които стигаха до Язир <и> се извиваха по пустинята; Клоновете му бяха разпрострени, минаваха през морето.

9 T herefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah; I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for upon thy summer fruits and upon thy harvest the battle shout is fallen.

Затова, заедно с плача на Язир <и аз> ще оплача лозето на Севма; Ще те измокря със сълзите си, Есевоне и Елеало, Защото престана възклицанието за летните ти плодове и за жетвата ти.

10 A nd gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither joyful noise: no treader shall tread out wine in the presses; I have made the vintage shout to cease.

Отне се веселието и радостта от плодоносното поле, И в лозята <ти> не ще има <вече> пеене, нито радостни гласове; Не ще има кой да тъпче в линовете <и да изстиска> виното; Аз направих да престане възклицанието за гроздобера.

11 W herefore my heart soundeth like a harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-heres.

Затова червата ми звучат като арфа за Моава, И вътрешностите ми за Кир-арес.

12 A nd it shall come to pass, when Moab presenteth himself, when he wearieth himself upon the high place, and shall come to his sanctuary to pray, that he shall not prevail.

И когато Моав, уморен от високите си места, Се яви и влезе в капището си да се помоли, Той няма да сполучи.

13 T his is the word that Jehovah spake concerning Moab in time past.

Това е словото, което Господ, в миналото време изговори за Моава,

14 B ut now Jehovah hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a hireling, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and of no account.

А сега Господ говори, казвайки: - Вътре в три години, каквито са годините на наемник, Славата на Моава ще изпадне в презрение С цялото му голямо множество; И останалите ще бъдат много малко и незначителни.
