1 P aul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),

2 a nd all the brethren that are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3 G race to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 w ho gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

5 t o whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

a quien sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. No hay otro evangelio

6 I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;

Estoy asombrado de que tan pronto os hayáis alejado del que os llamó por la gracia de Cristo, para seguir un evangelio diferente.

7 w hich is not another gospel only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

No que haya otro, sino que hay algunos que os perturban y quieren alterar el evangelio de Cristo.

8 B ut though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.

Pero si aun nosotros, o un ángel del cielo, os anuncia un evangelio diferente del que os hemos anunciado, sea anatema.

9 A s we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.

Como antes hemos dicho, también ahora lo repito: Si alguien os predica un evangelio diferente del que habéis recibido, sea anatema. El ministerio de Pablo

10 F or am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.

¿Acaso busco ahora la aprobación de los hombres o la de Dios? ¿O trato de agradar a los hombres? Si todavía agradara a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo.

11 F or I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man.

Pero os hago saber, hermanos, que el evangelio anunciado por mí no es invención humana,

12 F or neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.

pues yo ni lo recibí ni lo aprendí de hombre alguno, sino por revelación de Jesucristo.

13 F or ye have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and made havoc of it:

Ya habéis oído acerca de mi conducta en otro tiempo en el judaísmo, que perseguía sobremanera a la iglesia de Dios y la asolaba.

14 a nd I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

En el judaísmo aventajaba a muchos de mis contemporáneos en mi nación, siendo mucho más celoso de las tradiciones de mis padres.

15 B ut when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,

Pero cuando agradó a Dios, que me apartó desde el vientre de mi madre y me llamó por su gracia,

16 t o reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood:

revelar a su Hijo en mí, para que yo lo predicara entre los gentiles, no me apresuré a consultar con carne y sangre.

17 n either went I up to Jerusalem to them that were apostles before me: but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned unto Damascus.

Tampoco subí a Jerusalén para ver a los que eran apóstoles antes que yo; sino que fui a Arabia y volví de nuevo a Damasco.

18 T hen after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days.

Después, pasados tres años, subí a Jerusalén para ver a Pedro y permanecí con él quince días;

19 B ut other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

pero no vi a ningún otro de los apóstoles, sino a Jacobo el hermano del Señor.

20 N ow touching the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

En esto que os escribo, os aseguro delante de Dios que no miento.

21 T hen I came unto the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

Después fui a las regiones de Siria y de Cilicia;

22 A nd I was still unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

pero no me conocían personalmente las iglesias de Judea que están en Cristo,

23 b ut they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;

pues sólo habían oído decir: «Aquel que en otro tiempo nos perseguía, ahora predica la fe que en otro tiempo combatía.»

24 a nd they glorified God in me.

Y glorificaban a Dios a causa de mí.
