1 T hen Jehovah said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Entra a la presencia del faraón, y dile: “Jehová, el Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva,

2 F or if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

porque si no lo dejas ir, y lo sigues deteniendo,

3 b ehold, the hand of Jehovah is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

la mano de Jehová caerá, con plaga gravísima, sobre el ganado que está en los campos: sobre caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas y ovejas.

4 A nd Jehovah shall make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongeth to the children of Israel.

Pero Jehová hará distinción entre los ganados de Israel y los de Egipto, de modo que nada muera de todo lo que pertenece a los hijos de Israel.”

5 A nd Jehovah appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow Jehovah shall do this thing in the land.

Y Jehová fijó el plazo, diciendo: —Mañana hará Jehová esta cosa en la tierra.

6 A nd Jehovah did that thing on the morrow; and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

Al día siguiente Jehová hizo aquello, y murió todo el ganado de Egipto; pero del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió ni un animal.

7 A nd Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.

El faraón hizo averiguar, y se supo que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto ni un animal. Pero el corazón del faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir al pueblo. La plaga de úlceras

8 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: —Tomad puñados de ceniza de un horno, y la esparcirá Moisés hacia el cielo delante del faraón.

9 A nd it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

Se convertirá en polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, y producirá sarpullido con úlceras en los hombres y en las bestias por todo el país de Egipto.

10 A nd they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast.

Ellos tomaron ceniza del horno y se pusieron delante del faraón; la esparció Moisés hacia el cielo, y hubo sarpullido que produjo úlceras tanto en los hombres como en las bestias.

11 A nd the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

Ni los hechiceros podían permanecer delante de Moisés a causa del sarpullido, pues los hechiceros tenían sarpullido como todos los egipcios.

12 A nd Jehovah hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them, as Jehovah had spoken unto Moses.

Pero Jehová endureció el corazón del faraón, y no los oyó, tal como Jehová lo había dicho a Moisés. La plaga de granizo

13 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Luego Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Levántate de mañana, ponte delante del faraón y dile: “Jehová, el Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me sirva,

14 F or I will this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

porque yo enviaré esta vez todas mis plagas sobre tu corazón, sobre tus siervos y sobre tu pueblo, para que entiendas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.

15 F or now I had put forth my hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou hadst been cut off from the earth:

Por tanto, ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte a ti y a tu pueblo con una plaga, y desaparecerás de la tierra.

16 b ut in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

A la verdad yo te he puesto para mostrar en ti mi poder, y para que mi nombre sea anunciado en toda la tierra.

17 A s yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

¿Todavía te opones a mi pueblo y no lo dejas ir?

18 B ehold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

Mañana, a esta hora, yo haré llover granizo muy pesado, cual nunca hubo en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.

19 N ow therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; for every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

Envía, pues, a recoger tu ganado y todo lo que tienes en el campo, porque todo hombre o animal que se halle en el campo y no sea recogido en casa, el granizo caerá sobre él, y morirá.”

20 H e that feared the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses.

De los siervos del faraón, el que tuvo temor de la palabra de Jehová recogió a sus criados y a su ganado en casa,

21 A nd he that regarded not the word of Jehovah left his servants and his cattle in the field.

pero el que no puso en su corazón la palabra de Jehová, dejó a sus criados y a su ganado en el campo.

22 A nd Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que caiga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres, sobre las bestias y sobre toda la hierba del campo en el país de Egipto.

23 A nd Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and Jehovah sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and Jehovah rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

Moisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y Jehová hizo tronar y granizar; el fuego se descargó sobre la tierra, y Jehová hizo llover granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

24 S o there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

Hubo, pues, granizo, y fuego mezclado con el granizo, tan grande cual nunca hubo en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que fue habitada.

25 A nd the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

Aquel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias; también destrozó el granizo toda la hierba del campo, y desgajó todos los árboles del país.

26 O nly in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

Solamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde estaban los hijos de Israel, no hubo granizo.

27 A nd Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: Jehovah is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Entonces el faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: —He pecado esta vez; Jehová es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impíos.

28 E ntreat Jehovah; for there hath been enough of these mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

Orad a Jehová para que cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo. Yo os dejaré ir; y no os detendréis más.

29 A nd Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto Jehovah; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is Jehovah's.

Moisés le respondió: —Tan pronto salga yo de la ciudad, extenderé mis manos a Jehová; los truenos cesarán y no habrá más granizo, para que sepas que de Jehová es la tierra.

30 B ut as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear Jehovah God.

Pero yo sé que ni tú ni tus siervos temeréis todavía la presencia de Jehová Dios.

31 A nd the flax and the barley were smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.

El lino, pues, y la cebada fueron destrozados, porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.

32 B ut the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

Pero el trigo y el centeno no fueron destrozados, porque eran tardíos.

33 A nd Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto Jehovah: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

Cuando Moisés salió de la presencia del faraón, fuera de la ciudad, extendió sus manos a Jehová, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo, y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.

34 A nd when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

Al ver el faraón que la lluvia, el granizo y los truenos habían cesado, se obstinó en pecar, y endurecieron su corazón él y sus siervos.

35 A nd the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the children of Israel go, as Jehovah had spoken by Moses.

Se endureció el corazón del faraón, y no dejó ir a los hijos de Israel, tal como Jehová lo había dicho por medio de Moisés.
