1 A nd I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

И когда я приходил к вам, братия, приходил возвещать вам свидетельство Божие не в превосходстве слова или мудрости,

2 F or I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

ибо я рассудил быть у вас незнающим ничего, кроме Иисуса Христа, и притом распятого,

3 A nd I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

и был я у вас в немощи и в страхе и в великом трепете.

4 A nd my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

И слово мое и проповедь моя не в убедительных словах человеческой мудрости, но в явлении духа и силы,

5 t hat your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

чтобы вера ваша не на мудрости человеческой, но на силе Божией.

6 W e speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

Мудрость же мы проповедуем между совершенными, но мудрость не века сего и не властей века сего преходящих,

7 b ut we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:

но проповедуем премудрость Божию, тайную, сокровенную, которую предназначил Бог прежде веков к славе нашей,

8 w hich none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:

которой никто из властей века сего не познал; ибо если бы познали, то не распяли бы Господа славы.

9 b ut as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.

Но, как написано: не видел того глаз, не слышало ухо, и не приходило то на сердце человеку, что приготовил Бог любящим Его.

10 B ut unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

А нам Бог открыл Духом Своим; ибо Дух все проницает, и глубины Божии.

11 F or who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.

Ибо кто из человеков знает, что в человеке, кроме духа человеческого, живущего в нем? Так и Божьего никто не знает, кроме Духа Божия.

12 B ut we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

Но мы приняли не духа мира сего, а Духа от Бога, дабы знать дарованное нам от Бога,

13 W hich things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.

что и возвещаем не от человеческой мудрости изученными словами, но изученными от Духа Святаго, соображая духовное с духовным.

14 N ow the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

Душевный человек не принимает того, что от Духа Божия, потому что он почитает это безумием; и не может разуметь, потому что о сем судить духовно.

15 B ut he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.

Но духовный судит о всем, а о нем судить никто не может.

16 F or who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Ибо кто познал ум Господень, чтобы судить его? А мы имеем ум Христов.
