1 A nd Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.

И заповедал Моисей и старейшины Израилевых народу, говоря: исполняйте все заповеди, которые заповедую вам ныне.

2 A nd it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over the Jordan unto the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:

И когда перейдете за Иордан, в землю, которую Господь Бог твой дает тебе, тогда поставь себе большие камни и обмажь их известью;

3 a nd thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over; that thou mayest go in unto the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath promised thee.

и напиши на сих все слова закона сего, когда перейдешь, чтобы вступить в землю, которую Господь Бог твой дает тебе, в землю, где течет молоко и мед, как говорил тебе Господь Бог отцов твоих.

4 A nd it shall be, when ye are passed over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.

Когда перейдете Иордан, поставьте камни те, как я повелеваю вам сегодня, на горе Гевал, и обмажьте их известью;

5 A nd there shalt thou build an altar unto Jehovah thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt lift up no iron tool upon them.

и устрой там жертвенник Господу Богу твоему, жертвенник из камней, не поднимая на них железа;

6 T hou shalt build the altar of Jehovah thy God of unhewn stones; and thou shalt offer burnt-offerings thereon unto Jehovah thy God:

из камней цельных устрой жертвенник Господа Бога твоего, и возноси на нем всесожжения Господу Богу твоему,

7 a nd thou shalt sacrifice peace-offerings, and shalt eat there; and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God.

и приноси жертвы мирные, и ешь там, и веселись пред Господом Богом твоим;

8 A nd thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

и напиши на камнях все слова закона сего очень явственно.

9 A nd Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Keep silence, and hearken, O Israel: this day thou art become the people of Jehovah thy God.

И сказал Моисей и священники левиты всему Израилю, говоря: внимай и слушай, Израиль: в день сей ты сделался народом Господа Бога твоего;

10 T hou shalt therefore obey the voice of Jehovah thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

итак слушай гласа Господа Бога твоего и исполняй заповеди Его и постановления Его, которые заповедую тебе сегодня.

11 A nd Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

И заповедал Моисей народу в день тот, говоря:

12 T hese shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are passed over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.

сии должны стать на горе Гаризим, чтобы благословлять народ, когда перейдете Иордан: Симеон, Левий, Иуда, Иссахар, Иосиф и Вениамин;

13 A nd these shall stand upon mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

а сии должны стать на горе Гевал, чтобы проклятие: Рувим, Гад, Асир, Завулон, Дан и Неффалим.

14 A nd the Levites shall answer, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

Левиты возгласят и скажут всем Израильтянам громким голосом:

15 C ursed be the man that maketh a graven or molten image, an abomination unto Jehovah, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and setteth it up in secret. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

проклят, кто сделает изваянный или литый кумир, мерзость пред Господом, произведение рук художника, и поставит его в тайном месте! Весь народ возгласит и скажет: аминь.

16 C ursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят злословящий отца своего или матерь свою! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

17 C ursed be he that removeth his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят нарушающий межи ближнего своего! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

18 C ursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто слепого сбивает с пути! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

19 C ursed be he that wresteth the justice due to the sojourner, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто превратно судит пришельца, сироту и вдову! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

20 C ursed be he that lieth with his father's wife, because he hath uncovered his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто ляжет с женою отца своего, ибо он открыл край отца своего! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

21 C ursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто ляжет с каким-либо скотом! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

22 C ursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто ляжет с сестрою своею, с дочерью отца своего, или дочерью матери своей! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

23 C ursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто ляжет с тещею своею! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

24 C ursed be he that smiteth his neighbor in secret. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто тайно убивает ближнего своего! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

25 C ursed be he that taketh a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто берет подкуп, чтоб убить душу кровь невинную! И весь народ скажет: аминь.

26 C ursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Проклят, кто не исполнит слов закона сего и не будет поступать по ним! И весь народ скажет: аминь.
