1 T hen sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto Jehovah, and spake, saying, I will sing unto Jehovah, for he hath triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

Пою Господу, ибо Он высоко превознесся; коня и всадника его ввергнул в море.

2 J ehovah is my strength and song, And he is become my salvation: This is my God, and I will praise him; My father's God, and I will exalt him.

Господь крепость моя и слава моя, Он был мне спасением. Он Бог мой, и прославлю Его; Бог отца моего, и превознесу Его.

3 J ehovah is a man of war: Jehovah is his name.

Господь муж брани, Иегова имя Ему.

4 P haraoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea; And his chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea.

Колесницы фараона и войско его ввергнул Он в море, и избранные военачальники его потонули в Чермном море.

5 T he deeps cover them: They went down into the depths like a stone.

Пучины покрыли их: они пошли в глубину, как камень.

6 T hy right hand, O Jehovah, is glorious in power, Thy right hand, O Jehovah, dasheth in pieces the enemy.

Десница Твоя, Господи, прославилась силою; десница Твоя, Господи, сразила врага.

7 A nd in the greatness of thine excellency thou overthrowest them that rise up against thee: Thou sendest forth thy wrath, it consumeth them as stubble.

Величием славы Твоей Ты низложил восставших против Тебя. Ты послал гнев Твой, и он попалил их, как солому.

8 A nd with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were piled up, The floods stood upright as a heap; The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.

От дуновения Твоего расступились воды, влага стала, как стена, огустели пучины в сердце моря.

9 T he enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

Враг сказал: погонюсь, настигну, разделю добычу; насытится ими душа моя, обнажу меч мой, истребит их рука моя.

10 T hou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: They sank as lead in the mighty waters.

Ты дунул духом Твоим, и покрыло их море: они погрузились, как свинец, в великих водах.

11 W ho is like unto thee, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Кто, как Ты, Господи, между богами? Кто, как Ты, величествен святостью, досточтим хвалами, Творец чудес?

12 T hou stretchedst out thy right hand, The earth swallowed them.

Ты простер десницу Твою: поглотила их земля.

13 T hou in thy lovingkindness hast led the people that thou hast redeemed: Thou hast guided them in thy strength to thy holy habitation.

Ты ведешь милостью Твоею народ сей, который Ты избавил, --сопровождаешь силою Твоею в жилище святыни Твоей.

14 T he peoples have heard, they tremble: Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.

Услышали народы и трепещут: ужас объял жителей Филистимских;

15 T hen were the chiefs of Edom dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, trembling taketh hold upon them: All the inhabitants of Canaan are melted away.

тогда смутились князья Едомовы, трепет объял вождей Моавитских, уныли все жители Ханаана.

16 T error and dread falleth upon them; By the greatness of thine arm they are as still as a stone; Till thy people pass over, O Jehovah, Till the people pass over that thou hast purchased.

Да нападет на них страх и ужас; от величия мышцы Твоей да онемеют они, как камень, доколе проходит народ Твой, Господи, доколе проходит сей народ, который Ты приобрел.

17 T hou wilt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, The place, O Jehovah, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, The sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

Введи его и насади его на горе достояния Твоего, на месте, которое Ты соделал жилищем Себе, Господи, во святилище, создали руки Твои, Владыка!

18 J ehovah shall reign for ever and ever.

Господь будет царствовать во веки и в вечность.

19 F or the horses of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Jehovah brought back the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea.

Когда вошли кони фараона с колесницами его и с всадниками его в море, то Господь обратил на них воды морские, а сыны Израилевы прошли по суше среди моря.

20 A nd Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

И взяла Мариам пророчица, сестра Ааронова, в руку свою тимпан, и вышли за нею все женщины с тимпанами и ликованием.

21 A nd Miriam answered them, Sing ye to Jehovah, for he hath triumphed gloriously; The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

И воспела Мариам пред ними: пойте Господу, ибо высоко превознесся Он, коня и всадника его ввергнул в море.

22 A nd Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

И повел Моисей Израильтян от Чермного моря, и они вступили в пустыню Сур; и шли они три дня по пустыне и не находили воды.

23 A nd when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

Пришли в Мерру--и не могли пить воды в Мерре, ибо она была горька, почему и наречено тому имя: Мерра.

24 A nd the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

И возроптал народ на Моисея, говоря: что нам пить?

25 A n he cried unto Jehovah; And Jehovah showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them;

возопил к Господу, и Господь показал ему дерево, и он бросил его в воду, и вода сделалась сладкою. Там дал устав и закон и там испытывал его.

26 a nd he said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his eyes, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians: for I am Jehovah that healeth thee.

И сказал: если ты будешь слушаться гласа Господа, Бога твоего, и делать угодное пред очами Его, и внимать заповедям Его, и соблюдать все уставы Его, то не наведу на тебя ни одной из болезней, которые навел Я на Египет, ибо Я Господь, целитель твой.

27 A nd they came to Elim, where were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

И пришли в Елим; там двенадцать источников воды и семьдесят финиковых дерев, и расположились там станом при водах.
