1 T hese are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

هَذِهِ هِيَ مَراحِلُ رِحلَةِ بَني إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ أرْضِ مِصرَ فِي مَجمُوعاتٍ وَفِرَقٍ تَحتَ قِيادَةِ مُوسَى وَهارُونَ.

2 A nd Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

وَكَتَبَ مُوسَى أسْماءَ الأماكِنِ الَّتِي بَدَأُوا مِنها رَحَلاتِهِمْ بِحَسَبِ أمرِ اللهِ. وَهَذِهِ هِيَ الأماكِنُ الَّتِي أتَوها وَارْتَحَلُوا مِنها:

3 A nd they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,

تَرَكُوا رَعَمْسِيسَ فِي اليَومِ الخامِسَ عَشَرَ مِنَ الشَّهرِ الأوَّلِ. فِي غَدِ الفِصحِ، خَرَجَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ بِشَجاعَةٍ أمامَ كُلِّ المِصرِيِّينَ.

4 w hile the Egyptians were burying all their first-born, whom Jehovah had smitten among them: upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.

كانَ المِصرِيُّونَ يَدفِنُونَ أبْكارَهُمُ الَّذِينَ قَتَلَهُمْ اللهُ. وَكانَ اللهُ قَدْ أعلَنَ دَينُونَتَهُ عَلَى آلِهَةِ المِصرِيِّينَ وَعَمِلَ فِيها عَجائِبَ.

5 A nd the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

فَتَرَكَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ رَعَمْسِيسَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي سُكُّوتَ.

6 A nd they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

وَتَرَكُوا سُكُّوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي إيثامَ الواقِعَةِ فِي طَرَفِ الصَّحْراءِ.

7 A nd they journeyed from Etham, and turned back unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they encamped before Migdol.

وَتَرَكُوا إيثامَ وَاتَّجَهُوا نَحوَ فَمِ الحِيرُوثِ الواقِعِ إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ بَعلِ صَفُّونَ، فَخَيَّمُوا بِقُربِ مَجْدَلَ.

8 A nd they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

وَتَرَكُوا فَمَ الحِيرُوثِ وَسارُوا عَبرَ البَحرِ الأحمَرِ إلَى الصَّحْراءِ. وَسافَرُوا لِمُدَّةِ ثَلاثَةِ أيّامٍ فِي بَرِّيَّةِ إيثامَ، وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مارَّةَ.

9 A nd they journeyed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees; and they encamped there.

وَتَرَكُوا مارَّةَ وَذَهَبُوا إلَى إيلِيمَ. وَفِي إيلِيمَ، كانَ هُناكَ اثنا عَشَرَ نَبعَ ماءٍ وَسَبعُونَ نَخلَةً، فَخَيَّمُوا هُناكَ.

10 A nd they journeyed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

وَتَرَكُوا إيلِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا بِقُربِ البَحرِ الأحمَرِ.

11 A nd they journeyed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

وَتَرَكُوا البَحرَ الأحمَرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ.

12 A nd they journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

وَتَرَكُوا بَرِّيَّةَ صِينَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي دُفْقَةَ.

13 A nd they journeyed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

وَتَرَكُوا دُفْقَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي ألُوشَ.

14 A nd they journeyed from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

وَتَرَكُوا ألُوشَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رَفِيدِيمَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ هُناكَ ماءٌ لِلشَّعبِ لِيَشرَبُوا.

15 A nd they journeyed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

وَتَرَكُوا رَفِيدِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَرِّيَّةِ سِيناءَ.

16 A nd they journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.

وَتَرَكُوا بَرِّيَّةَ سِيناءَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قَبْرُوتَ هَتَّأوَةَ.

17 A nd they journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth.

وَتَرَكُوا قَبْرُوتَ هَتَّأوَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَضَيرُوتَ.

18 A nd they journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

وَتَرَكُوا حَضَيرُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِثْمَةَ.

19 A nd they journeyed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.

وَتَرَكُوا رِثْمَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِمُّونَ فارَصَ.

20 A nd they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

وَتَرَكُوا رِمُّونَ فارَصَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي لِبْنَةَ.

21 A nd they journeyed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

وَتَرَكُوا لِبْنَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِسَّةَ.

22 A nd they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

وَتَرَكُوا رِسَّةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قُهَيلاتَةَ.

23 A nd they journeyed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shepher.

وَتَرَكُوا قُهَيلاتَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي جَبَلِ شافَرَ.

24 A nd they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah.

وَتَرَكُوا جَبَلَ شافَرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَرادَةَ.

25 A nd they journeyed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.

وَتَرَكُوا حَرادَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مَقْهَيلُوتَ.

26 A nd they journeyed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath.

وَتَرَكُوا مَقْهَيلُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي تاحَتَ.

27 A nd they journeyed from Tahath, and encamped in Terah.

وَتَرَكُوا تاحَتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي تارَحَ.

28 A nd they journeyed from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah.

وَتَرَكُوا تارَحَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مِثْقَةَ.

29 A nd they journeyed from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah.

وَتَرَكُوا مِثْقَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَشْمُونَةَ.

30 A nd they journeyed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.

وَتَرَكُوا حَشْمُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مُسِيرُوتَ.

31 A nd they journeyed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-jaakan.

وَتَرَكُوا مُسِيرُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَنِي يَعْقانَ.

32 A nd they journeyed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped in Hor-haggidgad.

وَتَرَكُوا بَنِي يَعْقانَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حُورِ الجَدْجادِ.

33 A nd they journeyed from Hor-haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

وَتَرَكُوا حُورَ الجَدْجادِ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي يُطْباتَ.

34 A nd they journeyed from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah.

وَتَرَكُوا يُطباتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَبْرُونَةَ.

35 A nd they journeyed from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion-geber.

وَتَرَكُوا عَبْرُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عِصْيُونِ جابِرَ.

36 A nd they journeyed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh).

وَتَرَكُوا عِصْيُونَ جابِرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قادَشَ فِي بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ.

37 A nd they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

وَتَرَكُوا قادَشَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي هُورَ، الجَبَلِ الواقِعِ عَلَى حُدُودِ أرْضِ أدُومَ.

38 A nd Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

وَصَعِدَ هارُونُ الكاهِنُ إلَى جَبَلِ هُورَ بِحَسَبِ أمرِ اللهِ ، وَماتَ عَلَيهِ فِي اليَومِ الأوَّلِ مِنَ الشَّهرِ الخامِسِ فِي السَّنَةِ الأربَعِينَ لِخُرُوجِ بَني إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ مِصرَ.

39 A nd Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

وَكانَ هارُونُ قَدْ بَلَغَ مِنَ العُمْرِ مِئَةً وَثَلاثاً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً حِينَ ماتَ عَلَى جَبَلِ هُورَ.

40 A nd the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

وَسَمِعَ مَلِكُ عَرادَ الكَنعانِيَّ، الَّذِي كانَ يَسكُنُ فِي النَّقَبِ، أنَّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ آتٍ نَحوَ بِلادِهِ،

41 A nd they journeyed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

فَتَرَكَ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ جَبَلَ هُورَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي صَلْمُونَةَ.

42 A nd they journeyed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

وَتَرَكُوا صَلْمُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي فُونُونَ.

43 A nd they journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

وَتَرَكُوا فُونُونَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي أُوبُوتَ.

44 A nd they journeyed from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab.

وَتَرَكُوا أُوبُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَيِّيِ عَبارِيمَ، عَلَى حُدُودِ مُوآبَ.

45 A nd they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

وَتَرَكُوا عَيِّيَ عَبارِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي دِيبُونَ جادَ.

46 A nd they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

وَتَرَكُوا دِيبُونَ جادَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَلْمُونَ دِبلاتايِمَ.

47 A nd they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

وَتَرَكُوا عَلْمُونَ دِبلاتايِمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي جِبالِ عَبارِيمَ قُرْبَ نِبُو.

48 A nd they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

وَتَرَكَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ جِبالَ عَبارِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ بِجانِبِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ فِي الجِهَةِ الشَّرقِيَّةِ مُقابِلَ مَدِينَةِ أرِيحا.

49 A nd they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

وَخَيَّمُوا بِجِوارِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ فِي بَيتِ يَشِيمُوتَ إلَى آبَلَ شِطِّيمَ.

50 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

وَكَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوسَى فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ بِقُربِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ، إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ أرِيحا، فَقالَ لَهُ:

51 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

«قُلْ لِبَني إسْرائِيلَ: حِينَ تَعبُرُونَ نَهرَ الأُردُنِّ إلَى أرْضِ كَنعانَ،

52 t hen ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places:

اطْرُدُوا جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ يَسكُنُونَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ. حَطِّمُوا كُلَّ تَماثِيلِهِمِ المَنحُوتَةِ وَأوثانِهِمِ المَسبُوكَةِ، وَاهدِمُوا أماكِنَ عِبادَتِهِمْ.

53 a nd ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

حِينَئِذٍ، تَمتَلِكُونَ الأرْضَ وَتَسكُنُونَ فِيها، لأنِّي أعطَيتُ هَذِهِ الأرْضَ لَكُمْ.

54 A nd ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit.

«قَسِّمُوا الأرْضَ بَينَكُمْ بِإلقاءِ القُرَعِ بِحَسَبِ قَبائِلِكُمْ وَعَشائِرِكُمْ. اجعَلُوا حِصَّةَ القَبِيلَةِ الكَبِيرَةِ كَبِيرَةً، وَحِصَّةَ القَبِيلَةِ الصَّغِيرَةِ صَغِيرَةً. وَحَيثُما وَقَعَتِ القُرعَةُ عَلَى أيَّةِ عَشِيرَةٍ، فَإنَّ تِلكَ الأرْضَ تَكُونُ لِتِلكَ القَبِيلَةِ. فَتَنالُونَ حِصَصَكُمْ مِنَ الأرْضِ بِحَسَبِ قَبائِلِكُمْ.

55 B ut if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

«وَإنْ لَمْ تَطرُدُوا النّاسَ السّاكِنِينَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ، فَإنَّ الباقِينَ مِنهُمْ سَيَكُونُونَ كَالمَخارِزِ فِي عُيُونِكُمْ، وَكالأشواكِ فِي جَوانِبِكُمْ، إذْ سَيُسَبِّبُونَ الضِّيقَ لَكُمْ فِي الأرْضِ الَّتِي سَتَسْكُنُونَها.

56 A nd it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do unto them, so will I do unto you.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَأعمَلُ بِكُمْ كَما خَطَّطْتُ لِلعَمَلِ بِهِمْ.»
