1 T he word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying,

ثُمَّ أتَتْ إلَيَّ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ:

2 S on of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

«يا إنْسانُ، كانتْ هُناكَ امرَأتانِ ابنَتانِ للأُمِّ ذاتِها.

3 a nd they played the harlot in Egypt; they played the harlot in their youth; there were their breasts pressed, and there was handled the bosom of their virginity.

عاشَتا كَعاهِرَتَينِ فِي مِصرَ فِي شَبابِهِما، فَسَمَحَتا بأنْ يُنتَهَكَ صَدْراهُما وَتُداعَبَ أثداؤُهُما.

4 A nd the names of them were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister: and they became mine, and they bare sons and daughters. And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.

اسْمُ الكَبِيرَةِ أهُولَةُ أمّا الصَّغِيرَةُ فَاسمُها أهُولِيبَةُ. وَصارَتِ المَرأتانِ زَوجَتَينِ لِي، وَأنجَبَتا لِي أولاداً وَبَناتٍ. أهُولَةُ هِيَ السّامِرَةُ، وَأهُولِيبَةُ هِيَ مَدينَةُ القُدْسِ.

5 A nd Oholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,

فَزَنَتْ أهُولَةُ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ أمِينَةً لِي. اشتَهَتْ عُشَّاقَها الأشُّورِيينَ، المُحاربِينَ

6 w ho were clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.

الّذِينَ يَلْبِسُونَ الزِّيَّ القُرمُزِّيَّ، وَالحُكّامَ وَالقادَةَ. فَكُلُّهُمْ شُبّانٌ وَسِيمُونَ وَفُرسانٌ!

7 A nd she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them; and on whomsoever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself.

فَقَدَّمَتْ زِناها لَهُمْ جَمِيعاً. لِلمُختارِينَ مِنْ بَنِي أشُّورَ. أعطَتْ نَفسَها لِكُلِّ مَنْ رَغِبَتْ فِيهِ. وَتَنَجَّسَتْ بِأصنامِهِمُ القَذِرَةِ!

8 N either hath she left her whoredoms since the days of Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they handled the bosom of her virginity; and they poured out their whoredom upon her.

لَمْ تَتَوَقَّفْ عَنِ الزِّنَى الَّذِي بَدَأتْهُ فِي مِصرَ، لأنَّهُمْ عاشَرُوها فِي شَبابِها، لَمَسُوا صَدرَها الغَضَّ، وَصَبُّوا شَهْوَتَهُمْ عَلَيها.

9 W herefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.

لِذا سَمَحْتُ بِأنْ يَأخُذَها عُشّاقُها الأشُّورِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ اشتَهَتهُمْ.

10 T hese uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters; and her they slew with the sword: and she became a byword among women; for they executed judgments upon her.

فَاغتَصَبُوها وَأخَذُوا أولادَها وَبَناتِها، وَقَتَلُوها بِالسَّيفِ. نَفَّذُوا بِها الحُكمَ، فَصارَتْ عِبرَةً لِكُلِّ النِّساءِ.

11 A nd her sister Oholibah saw this, yet was she more corrupt in her doting than she, and in her whoredoms which were more than the whoredoms of her sister.

وَرَأتْ أُختُها أُهُولِيبَةُ هَذا، وَمَعَ هَذا نَجَّسَتْ نَفسَها بِشَهَواتِها وَزِناها أكثَرَ مِنْ أُختِها أهُولَةَ!

12 S he doted upon the Assyrians, governors and rulers, her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.

اشتَهَتِ الأشُّورِيينَ، الحُكّامَ وَالقادَةَ وَالمُحاربِينَ بِلباسِهُمُ العَسكَرِيِّ. فَكُلُّهُمْ فُرسانٌ وَشُبّانٌ وَسِيمُونَ.

13 A nd I saw that she was defiled; they both took one way.

فَرَأيتُ أنَّ أهُولَةَ أيضاً نَجَّسَتْ نَفسَها. اتَّبَعَتِ الأُختانِ الطَّرِيقَ ذاتَها.

14 A nd she increased her whoredoms; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,

وَاستَمَرَّتْ أهُولِيبَةُ بِزِناها. ثُمَّ رَأتْ صُوَرَ رِجالٍ مَحفُورَةً عَلَى الحائِطِ، صُوَرَ رِجالٍ كَلدانِيِّينَ يَرتَدُونَ ثِياباً حَمراءَ لامِعَةً.

15 g irded with girdles upon their loins, with flowing turbans upon their heads, all of them princes to look upon, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their nativity.

كانُوا يَرتَدُونَ أحزِمَةً عَلَى خُصُورِهِمْ وَعَمائِم عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ. كانُوا جَمِيعاً يَبدُونَ مِثلَ الرّاكِبِينَ فِي مَركَباتٍ، وَهُوَ الأمرُ النَّمُوذَجِيُّ لِأبناءِ الكَلْدانِيِّينَ فِي بابِلَ أرْضِ مِيلادِهِمْ.

16 A nd as soon as she saw them she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.

اشتَهَتِ الصُّوَرَ الَّتِي رأتْها، وَأرسَلَتْ مَبعُوثِينَ إلَى الكَلْدانِيِّينَ.

17 A nd the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.

فَأتَى البابِلِيُّونَ لِيَزنُوا مَعَها، فَنَجَّسُوها بِزِناهِمْ. وَبَعدَ أنْ نَجَّسَتْ نَفسَها بِهِمْ، كَرِهَتهُمْ وَلَمْ تَعُدْ تَرغَبُ فِيهِمْ.

18 S o she uncovered her whoredoms, and uncovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.

وَبَعدَ أنْ أظهَرَتْ كُلَّ زِناها وَفِسقِها وَتَعَرَّتْ، كَرِهْتُها وَرَفَضْتُها كَما رَفَضْتُ أُختَها.

19 Y et she multiplied her whoredoms, remembering the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

حِينَئِذٍ، أكثَرَتْ مِنْ زِناها مُتَذَكِّرَةً شَبابَها حِينَ سَكَنَتْ فِي مِصرَ كَزانِيَةٍ.

20 A nd she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

اشتَهَتْ عُشّاقَها الَّذِينَ أعْضاؤُهُمِ كَأعْضاءِ الحَمِيرِ، وَماؤُهُمْ كَماءِ الخَيلِ.

21 T hus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in the handling of thy bosom by the Egyptians for the breasts of thy youth.

وَهَكَذا عاشَتْ فِسقَ شَبابِها، حِينَ انتَهَكَ الرِّجالُ صَدْرَها، وَداعَبُوا ثَديَيها.

22 T herefore, O Oholibah, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side:

وَلِذا، يا أهُولِيبَةُ، هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: ‹ها أنا سَأُهَيِّجُ عُشّاقَكِ عَلَيكِ، الرِّجالَ الَّذينَ كَرِهْتِهِمْ فَرَفَضْتِهِمْ. سَأُحضِرُهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ جِهَةٍ فَيُهاجِمُونَكِ.

23 t he Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men, governors and rulers all of them, princes and men of renown, all of them riding upon horses.

سَأُحضِرُ البابِلِيِّينَ وَالكَلْدانِيِّينَ وَفَقُودَ وَشُوعَ وَقُوعَ، وَكُلَّ الأشُّورِيِّينَ، وَالجُنُودَ المُختارِينَ وَالقادَةَ وَالحُكّامَ الَّذِي تَشتَهِيهُمِ النَّفسُ، وَكُلُّهُمْ مُختارُونَ، فُرسانٌ وَراكِبُو مَركَباتٍ.

24 A nd they shall come against thee with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee with buckler and shield and helmet round about; and I will commit the judgment unto them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.

سَيَأتُونَ بِكُلِّ قُوَّةِ مَركِباتِهِمْ عَلَيكِ. سَيُحِيطُونَ بِكِ بِجَيشٍ عَظِيمٍ مِنْ شُعُوبٍ كَثِيرَةٍ مُختَلِفَةٍ، برِماحِهِمْ وَأتراسِهِمْ وَخُوَذِهِمْ. سَأعرِضُ القَضِيَّةَ ضِدَّكِ أمامَهُمْ، وَهُمْ سَيَحكُمُونَ عَلَيكِ وَيُعاقِبُونَكِ.

25 A nd I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in fury; they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy residue shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَأُعَبِّرُ عَن غِيرَتِي نَحوَكِ فَيُظهِرونَ هُمْ كُلَّ غَضَبِهِمْ عَلَيكِ. سَيَقطَعُونَ أُذُنَكِ وَأنفَكِ، وَفِي النِّهايَةِ سَتَسقُطِينَ بِالسَّيفِ. سَيَأخُذُونَ بَنِيكِ وَبَناتِكِ، وَيُحرَقُ ما تَبَقَّى مِنكِ.

26 T hey shall also strip thee of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.

سَيُجَرِّدُونَكِ مِنْ ثِيابِكِ ويَأخُذُونَ زِينَتَكِ.

27 T hus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt; so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

وَلِذا سَأُنْهِي فِسقَكِ وَأضَعُ حَدّاً لِزِناكِ الَّذِي بَدَأ مُنذُ كُنتِ فِي مِصرَ. لَنْ تَعُودِي تَنظُرِينَ إلَيْهِمْ بِعُيُونِكِ المَغوِيَّةِ.

28 F or thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated;

فَهَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: ‹سَأُسَلِّمُكِ لِلَّذِينَ صِرتِ تَكرَهِينَهُمْ فَابتَعدتِ عَنهُمْ.

29 a nd they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labor, and shall leave thee naked and bare; and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be uncovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

سَيُعاملُونَكِ حَسَبَ كُرهِهِمْ لَكِ. ثُمَّ يَأخُذُونَ كُلَّ كُنُوزِكِ الَّتِي تَعِبتِ بِها، فَيَترُكُونَكِ عُريانَةً بِالكامِلِ، كاشِفِينَ زِناكِ وَفِسقَكِ.

30 T hese things shall be done unto thee, for that thou hast played the harlot after the nations, and because thou art polluted with their idols.

سَيُعامِلُونَكِ هَكَذا بِسَبَبِ زِناكِ مَعَ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ الأُخرَى، الَّذِينَ بِآلِهَتِهِمْ نَجَّستِ نَفسَكِ!

31 T hou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thy hand.

اتَّبَعتِ مِثالَ أُختِكِ، وَلِذا سَأُعاقِبُكِ بِالعِقابِ الَّذي عاقَبْتُها بِهِ.›»

32 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup, which is deep and large; thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.

هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «سَتَشرَبِينَ مِنْ كَأسِ أُختِكِ، تِلكَ الكَأسُ عَمِيقَةٌ وَكَبِيرَةٌ، وَتَسَعُ الكَثِيرَ. سَتَشرَبِينَها كامِلَةً وَتَكُونِينَ مَوضِعَ سُخْرِيَةٍ وَاستِهزاءٍ.

33 T hou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.

سَتَسكَرِينَ وَتَتَرَنَّحِينَ بِسَبَبِ كَأسِ الدَّمارِ وَالخَرابِ، كَأسِ أُختِكِ السّامِرَةَ.

34 T hou shalt even drink it and drain it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and shalt tear thy breasts; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

سَتَشرَبِينَها وَتَمُصِّينَها تَماماً، وَتَبتَلِعِينَ كُلَّ سُمِّها المُرِّ. حِينَئِذٍ، سَتُمَزِّقِينَ صَدرَكِ. سَيَحدُثُ هَذا لأنَّنِي تَكَلَّمْتُ.» يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.

35 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

لِذَلِكَ، هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «لأنَّكِ نَسِيتِنِي وَرَمَيتِنِي وَراءَ ظَهرِكِ، وَلِذا سَيَأتِي عَلَيكِ العِقابُ. بِسَبَبِ عَدَمِ أمانَتِكِ.»

36 J ehovah said moreover unto me: Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? then declare unto them their abominations.

وَقالَ اللهُ لِي: «يا إنْسانُ، هَلْ تَحكُمُ عَلَى أهُولَةَ وَأهُولِيبَةَ، وَتُعلِنُ لَهُما أعمالَهُما الكَرِيهَةَ؟

37 F or they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery; and they have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass through the fire unto them to be devoured.

فَقَدِ ارتَكَبَتْ القُدْسُ وَالسّامِرَةُ زِنَىً، وَأيدِيهِما مُلَطَّخَةٌ بِالدَّمِ. زَنَيتا مَعَ آلِهَتِهِمْا القَذِرَةِ، وَعَبَّرَتا فِي النّارِ أولادَهُما الَّذِينَ وَلَدَتاهُمْ لِي.

38 M oreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.

كَما نَجَّسَتا هَيكَلِي بِكُلِّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، وَنَجَّسَتا أيّامَ الرَّاحَةِ الَّتِي عَيَّنْتُها.

39 F or when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

وَحِينَ كانَتا تَذْبَحانِ أولادَهُما لأوثانِهِما القَذِرَةِ، ذَهَبَتا إلَى مقدَسِي وَنَجَّسَتاهُ. هَذا ما عَمِلَتاهُ فِي بَيتِي.

40 A nd furthermore ye have sent for men that come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent, and, lo, they came; for whom thou didst wash thyself, paint thine eyes, and deck thyself with ornaments,

كَما أرْسَلتا فِي طَلَبِ رِجالٍ مِنْ أرْضٍ بَعِيدَةٍ. أرْسَلتُما إلَيْهِمْ فَأتَوْا إلَيكُما، فَوَجَدُوكُما قَدِ اغتَسَلْتُما وَتَزَيَّنْتُما وَارتدَيتُما الجَّواهرَ لأجلِهِمْ.

41 a nd sit upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou didst set mine incense and mine oil.

جَلسْتُما عَلَى أرِيكَةٍ مُزَيَّنَةٍ وَمُزَخرَفَةٍ، أمامَ مائِدَةٍ عَلَيها بَخُورِي وَزُيُوتِي العَطِرَةِ.

42 A nd the voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets upon the hands of them twain, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

سُمِعَتْ حَولَ القُدْسِ ضَجَّةُ جُمهُورٍ. فَقَدْ أتَى رِجالٌ هَمَجِيُّونَ سُكارَى مِنَ الصَّحراءِ إلَى احتِفالِها، مَعَ جُمهُورٍ مِنْ أُمَمٍ كَثِيرَةٍ. لَبِسَتْ ثِيابَ الاحتِفالِ، وَوَضَعُوا أساوِرَ عَلَى أيدِي النِّساءِ وَأكالِيلَ جَمِيلَةً عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِنَّ.

43 T hen said I of her that was old in adulteries, Now will they play the harlot with her, and she with them.

فَقُلْتُ لِلمَرأةِ الَّتِي تَلِفَتْ مِنْ كَثرَةِ زِناها: «هَلْ سَتَستَمِرُّ فِي زِناها مَعَهُمْ؟»

44 A nd they went in unto her, as they go in unto a harlot: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah, the lewd women.

عاشَرُوها كَعاهِرَةٍ. وَكَذَلِكَ عاشَرُوا المُستَهتِرَتَينِ أهُولَةَ وَأهُولِيبَةَ.

45 A nd righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

سَيَحكُمُ الأبرارُ عَلَيهِما، فَيُعلِنُونَ أنَّهُما ارتَكَبَتا جَرِيمَتَيِّ الزِّنا وَالقَتلِ، فَهُما زانِيَتانِ وَأيادِيهُما مُلطَّخَةٌ بِالدَّمِ.»

46 F or thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring up a company against them, and will give them to be tossed to and fro and robbed.

لأنَّهُ هَكَذا قالَ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «أجمَعُ جَماعَةً عَلَيهِما لإذلالِهِما وَالسُّخْرِيَةِ بِهِما.

47 A nd the company shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.

لتَرْجِمْهُما الجَماعَةُ وَيُقَطِّعُونَهُما بِسُيُوفِهِمْ. لِيَقتُلُوا أبناءَهُما وَبَناتِهِما وَيَحرِقُوا بُيُوتَهُما.

48 T hus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

هَكَذا سَأَضَعُ حدّاً لِسُلُوكِهِما المُخزِي فِي هَذا البَلَدِ، وَسَتَتَعَلَّمُ النِّساءُ الأُخرَياتُ دَرْساً، فَلا يَتَعَرَّضْنَ للِخِزيِ بِسَبَبِ ما عَمِلَتا.

49 A nd they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

سَيُعاقَبانِ عَلَى سُلُوكِهِما المُخزِي، وَسَيَحمِلانِ ذَنبَ عِبادَةِ الأوثانِ الكَرِيهَةِ. حِينَئِذٍ، سَيَعلَمانِ أنِّي أنا الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ.»
