1 I n the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.

فِي سَنَةِ وَفاةِ المَلِكُ عُزِّيّا، رَأيتُ الرَّبَّ جالِساً عَلَى عَرشٍ عالٍ، وَأطرافُ ثَوبِهِ تَملأُ الهَيكَلَ.

2 A bove him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

وَكانَتِ مَلائِكَةُ السِّيرافِيمِ فَوقَهُ. وَلِكُلِّ واحِدٍ مِنها سِتَّةُ أجنِحَةٍ: بِاثْنَينِ يُغَطِّي وَجهَهُ، وَبِاثْنَينِ يُغَطِّي رِجلَيهِ، وَبِاثْنَينِ يَطِيرُ.

3 A nd one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

وَكانَتِ المَلائِكَةُ يُنادِي أحَدُها الآخَرَ: «قُدُّوسٌ، قُدُّوسٌ، قُدُّوسٌ اللهُ القَدِيرُ. مَجدُهُ يَملأُ كُلَّ الأرْضِ.»

4 A nd the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

فَاهتَزَّتْ أساساتُ الأبوابِ بِسَبَبِ صَوتِ المُنادِي، وَامتَلأ الهَيكَلُ بِالدُّخانِ.

5 T hen said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

فَقُلْتُ: «وَيلٌ لِي لأنَّنِي سَأهلِكُ، فَأنا لَستُ طاهِرَ الشَّفَتَينِ، وَأنا أسكُنُ وَسَطَ شَعبٍ غَيرِ طاهِرِ الشِّفاهِ. وَمَعَ هَذا رَأتْ عَينَيَّ المَلِكَ، الإلَهَ القَدِيرَ.»

6 T hen flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

فَطارَ إلَيَّ واحِدٌ مِنَ السِّيرافِيمِ وَبِيَدِهِ جَمرَةُ نارٍ أخَذَها بِمِلقَطٍ مِنْ عَنِ المَذبَحِ،

7 a nd he touched my mouth with it, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin forgiven.

وَلَمَسَ بِها فَمِي، وَقالَ: «ها قَدْ مَسَّتْ هَذِهِ الجَمرَةُ شَفَتَيكَ، فَأُزِيلَ عَنكَ إثمُكَ، وَمُحِيَتْ خَطِيَّتُكَ.»

8 A nd I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me.

وَسَمِعْتُ صَوتَ الرَّبِّ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ أُرسِلُ؟ مَنْ سَيَذهَبُ لِيُعلِنَ رِسالَتَنا؟» فَقُلْتُ: «ها أنا، أرسِلْنِي.»

9 A nd he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

ثُمَّ قالَ الرَّبُّ: «اذْهَبْ وَقُلْ لِهَذا الشَّعبِ: ‹اسْمَعُوا لَكِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَفهَمُوا، وَانْظُروا لَكِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَفهَمُوا!›

10 M ake the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they sea with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.

اجعَلْ ذِهنَ هَذا الشَّعبِ عاجِزاً عَنِ الفَهمِ، وَأغلِقْ آذانَهُمْ. أُغلِقُ عُيُونَهُمْ، فَلا يَقدِرُونَ أنْ يُلاحِظُوا بِعُيُونِهِمْ، وَلا أنْ يَسْمَعُوا بِآذانِهِمْ، وَلا أنْ يَفهَمُوا بِعُقُولِهِمْ، لِكَيلا يَرجِعُوا إلَيَّ فَأُشْفِيْهِمْ.»

11 T hen said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until cities be waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land become utterly waste,

فَقُلْتُ: «إلَى مَتَى يا رَبُّ أعلِنُ هَذا؟» فَقالَ: «إلَى أنْ تُدَمَّرَ المُدُنُ، وَلا يَبقَى فِيها ساكِنٌ. وَإلَى أنْ تُصبِحَ البُيُوتُ بِلا ساكِنٍ، وَتُخرَبَ الأرْضُ وَتُصبِحَ فارِغَةً.»

12 a nd Jehovah have removed men far away, and the forsaken places be many in the midst of the land.

سَيُرسِلُ اللهُ الشَّعبَ إلَى أرْضٍ بَعِيدَةٍ، فَتَخلُو مُعظَمُ الأرْضِ.

13 A nd if there be yet a tenth in it, it also shall in turn be eaten up: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remaineth, when they are felled; so the holy seed is the stock thereof.

وَمَعَ أنَّهُ يَبقَى فِي الأرْضِ عُشْرُ العُشبِ، إلّا أنَّها سَتُحرَقُ ثانِيَةً. وَتَكُونُ مِثلَ شَجَرَةِ البُطمَةِ وَالبَلُّوطِ الَّتِي إنْ قُطِعَتْ يُترَكُ لَها جَذْعٌ، وَجَذْعُها زَرعٌ مُقَدَّسٌ يَنبُتُ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ.
