1 A nd I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more.

ثُمَّ رَأيتُ سَماءً جَدِيدَةً وَأرْضاً جَدِيدَةً. فَالسَّماءُ الأُولَى وَالأرْضُ الأُولَى قَدْ زالَتا، وَالبَحرُ لَمْ يَعُدْ مَوجُوداً.

2 A nd I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven of God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

كَما رَأيتُ المَدِينَةَ المُقَدَّسَةَ، القُدسَ الجَدِيدَةَ، تَنزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ مِنْ عِندِ اللهِ. كانَتْ مُهَيَّأةً كَعَرُوسٍ مُزَيَّنَةٍ لِزَوجِها.

3 A nd I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God:

وَسَمِعتُ صَوتاً عالِياً مِنَ السَّماءِ يَقُولُ: «الآنَ صارَ مَسكِنُ اللهِ مَعَ البَشَرِ. سَيَكُونُونَ شَعبَهُ، وَهُوَ نَفسُهُ سَيَكُونُ مَعَهُمْ، وَسَيَكُونُ لَهُمْ إلَهاً.

4 a nd he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away.

وَسَيَمْسَحُ اللهُ كُلَّ دَمعَةٍ مِنْ عُيُونِهِمْ. وَلَنْ يَكُونَ هُناكَ مَوتٌ أوْ نُواحٌ أوْ بُكاءٌ أوْ ألَمٌ، لِأنَّ الأشياءَ القَدِيمَةَ قَدْ زالَتْ.»

5 A nd he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true.

ثُمَّ قالَ الجالِسُ عَلَى العَرشِ: «ها إنِّي أجعَلُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ جَدِيداً!» وَقالَ لِي: «اكتُبْ، لِأنَّ هَذِهِ الكَلِماتُ مُعتَمَدَةٌ وَصَحِيحَةٌ.»

6 A nd he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

ثُمَّ قالَ: «لَقَدْ تَمَّ! أنا هُوَ الألِفُ وَالياءُ، البِدايَةُ وَالنِّهايَةُ. سَأسقِي كُلَّ عَطشانٍ مِنْ يَنبُوعِ ماءِ الحَياةِ مَجّاناً.

7 H e that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

مَنْ يَنتَصِرُ، سَيَأخُذُ كُلَّ هَذِهِ الأشياءِ. وَسَأكُونُ لَهُ إلَهاً، وَهُوَ يَكُونُ لِي ابناً.

8 B ut for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

أمّا الجُبَناءُ وَغَيرُ المُؤمِنِينَ وَالفاسِدُونَ وَالقاتِلُونَ وَالزُّناةُ وَالسَّحَرَةُ وَعَبَدَةُ الأوثانِ وَكُلُّ الكاذِبِينَ، فَسَيَكونُ مَصيرُهُمْ فِي البُحَيرَةِ المُتَّقِدَةِ بِالكِبرِيتِ المُشتَعِلِ. ذَلِكَ هُوَ المَوتُ الثّانِي.»

9 A nd there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were laden with the seven last plagues; and he spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

ثُمَّ جاءَ أحَدُ المَلائِكَةِ السَّبعَةِ الَّذِينَ مَعَهُمُ الآنِيَةُ السَّبعَةُ المَملُوءَةُ بِالكَوارِثِ السَّبعِ الأخِيرَةِ، وَقالَ لِي: «تَعالَ هُنا، سَأُرِيكَ العَرُوسَ الَّتِي هِيَ زَوجَةُ الحَمَلِ.

10 A nd he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

وَبَينَما الرُّوحُ يَغْمُرُني، قادَنِي المَلاكُ إلَى جَبَلٍ كَبِيرٍ مُرتَفِعٍ، وَأرانِي المَدِينَةَ المُقَدَّسَةَ، القُدسَ، وَهِيَ تَنزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ مِنْ عِندِ اللهِ!

11 h aving the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal:

كانَ لَها مَجدُ اللهِ. لَمَعانُها كَلَمَعانِ أجمَلِ حَجَرٍ كَرِيمٍ، كَحَجَرِ يَشْبٍ نَقِيٍّ كَالبِلَّورِ.

12 h aving a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

وَكانَ لَها سُورٌ كَبِيرٌ مُرتَفِعٌ، لَهُ اثنَتا عَشْرَةَ بَوّابَةً، يَقِفُ عِندَها اثنا عَشَرَ مَلاكاً. وَكانَ مَكتُوباً عَلَى البَوّاباتِ أسماءُ قَبائِلَ بَنِي إسرائِيلَ الاثنَتي عَشْرَةَ.

13 o n the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

ثَلاثُ بَوّاباتٍ إلَى الشَّرقِ، وَثَلاثُ بَوّاباتٍ إلَى الشَّمالِ، وَثَلاثُ بَوّاباتٍ إلَى الجَنُوبِ، وَثَلاثُ بَوّاباتٍ إلَى الغَربِ.

14 A nd the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

وَكانَ سُورُ المَدِينَةِ مَبنِيّاً عَلَى اثنَي عَشَرَ حَجَرَ أساسٍ، كُتِبَتْ عَلَيها أسماءُ رُسُلِ الحَمَلِ الاثنَي عَشَرَ.

15 A nd he that spake with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

وَكانَ مَعَ المَلاكِ الَّذِي يَتَكَلَّمُ مَعِي عَصا قِياسٍ ذَهَبِيَّةٍ، لِيَقِيسَ المَدِينَةَ، وَبَوّاباتِها وَجُدرانِها.

16 A nd the city lieth foursquare, and the length thereof is as great as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: the length and the breadth and the height thereof are equal.

كانَتِ المَدِينَةُ مُمتَدَّةً بِشَكلٍ مُرَبَّعٍ طُولُهُ يُساوِي عَرضَهُ. وَقاسَ المَلاكُ المَدِينَةَ بِالعَصا فَكانَتْ نَحوَ اثنَتَي عَشْرَةَ ألفَ غَلْوَةً طُولاً وَعَرْضاً وَارْتِفاعاً.

17 A nd he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

ثُمَّ قاسَ المَلاكُ سُمْكَ سُورِها، فَكانَ مِئَةً وَأربَعاً وَأربَعُينَ ذِراعاً. فَقَدِ استَخَدَمَ المَلاكُ مِقياساً مُساوِياً لِذِراعِ إنسانٍ.

18 A nd the building of the wall thereof was jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto pure glass.

وَكانَ السُّورُ مَبنِيّاً مِنَ اليَشْبِ، وَالمَدِينَةُ مَصنُوعَةً مِنَ الذَّهَبِ الخالِصِ، وَتَلمَعُ كَالزُّجاجِ الشَّفّافِ.

19 T he foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

أمّا أساساتُ المَدِينَةِ فَكانَتْ مُزَيَّنَةً بِكُلِّ أنواعِ الأحجارِ الكَرِيمَةِ. فَحَجَرُ الأساسِ الأوَّلُ كانَ مِنَ اليَشْبِ، وَالثّانِي مِنَ الياقُوتِ الأزرَقِ، وَالثّالِثُ مِنَ العَقِيقِ الأبيَضِ، وَالرّابِعُ مِنَ الزُّمُرُّدِ،

20 t he fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

وَالخامِسُ مِنَ الجَزْعِ، وَالسّادِسِ مِنَ العَقِيقِ الأحمَرِ، وَالسّابِعُ مِنَ الزَّبَرجَدِ، وَالثّامِنُ مِنَ الزُّمُرُّدِ السِلقيِّ، وَالتّاسِعُ مِنَ الياقُوتِ الأصفَرِ، وَالعاشِرُ مِنَ العَقِيقِ الأخضَرِ، وَالحادِي عَشَرَ مِنَ الفَيرُوزِ، وَالثّانِي عَشَرَ مِنَ الجَمَشْتِ.

21 A nd the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the several gates was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

أمّا البَوّاباتُ الاثنَتا عَشْرَةَ فَكانَتْ مَصنُوعَةً مِنَ اثنَتَي عَشْرَةَ لُؤلُؤةً، فَكُلُّ واحِدَةٍ مِنها لُؤلُؤَةٌ واحِدَةٌ. كَما أنَّ شارِعَ المَدِينَةِ الواسِعَ كانَ مَصنُوعاً مِنَ الذَّهَبِ الخالِصِ النَّقِيِّ كَالزُّجاجِ.

22 A nd I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof.

لَمْ أرَ فِيها هَيكَلاً، لِأنَّ الرَّبَّ الإلَهَ القَدِيرَ وَالحَمَلَ هُما هَيكَلُها.

23 A nd the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb.

وَلَمْ تَكُنِ المَدِينَةُ بِحاجَةٍ إلَى الشَّمسِ وَلا إلَى القَمَرِ لِيُضِيئا عَلَيها، فَمَجدُ اللهِ يُنِيرُها وَالحَمَلُ مِصباحُها.

24 A nd the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it.

سَتَسِيرُ الأُمَمُ بِنُورِ مِصباحِها، وَمُلُوكَ الأرْضِ سَيأتونَ بِمَجدِهِمْ إلَيها.

25 A nd the gates thereof shall in no wise be shut by day (for there shall be no night there):

بَوّاباتُها لَنْ تُغلَقَ فِي أيِّ يَومٍ، لِأنَّهُ لَنْ يَكُونَ هُناكَ لَيلٌ.

26 a nd they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it:

وَسَيُؤتَى بِمَجدِ وَكَرامَةِ الأُمَمِ إلَيها،

27 a nd there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean, or he that maketh an abomination and a lie: but only they that are written in the Lamb's book of life.

لَكِن لَنْ يَدخُلَها شَيءٌ نَجِسٌ، وَلا إنسانٌ يُمارِسُ النَّجاسَةَ أوِ الكَذِبَ. لَنْ يَدخُلَها إلّا مَنْ كانَ اسْمُهُ مَكتُوباً فِي كِتابِ الحَياةِ، كِتابِ الحَمَلِ.
