1 I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

انْتَظَرْتُ اللهَ بِصَبْرٍ. فَالتَفَتَ إلَيَّ وَسَمِعَ صُراخِي.

2 H e brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

مِنَ المَوْتِ نَشَلَنِي. أخرَجَنِي مِنَ الوَحلِ. عَلَى أرْضٍ ثابِتَةٍ وَضَعَ قَدَمَيَّ، وَثَبَّتَ خَطَواتِي.

3 A nd he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.

وَضَعَ تَرنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً عَلَى شَفَتَيَّ، تَرنِيمَةَ شُكْرٍ لإلَهِنا. كَثِيرُونَ سَيَرَوْنَ أعْمالَهُ، فَيَهابُونَ اللهِ وَيَتَّكِلُونَ عَلَيهِ.

4 B lessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

هَنِيئاً لِمَنْ وَضَعَ ثِقَتَهُ فِي اللهِ ، وَلا يَلجَأُ إلَى الشَّياطِينِ وَالآلِهَةِ المُزَيَّفَةِ.

5 M any, O Jehovah my God, are the wonderful works which thou hast done, And thy thoughts which are to us-ward; They cannot be set in order unto thee; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.

يا إلَهِي ، أنتَ صَنَعْتَ عَجائِبَ كَثِيرَةً. رائِعَةٌ هِيَ خُطَطُكَ لَنا، وَلَيسَ مَنْ يَقدِرُ أنْ يَذكُرَها كُلَّها. سَأُخبِرُ بِها مَرَّةً بَعدَ مَرَّةٍ، مَعَ أنَّها لا تُحصَى.

6 S acrifice and offering thou hast no delight in; Mine ears hast thou opened: Burnt-offering and sin-offering hast thou not required.

أنتَ لا تُسَرُّ بِالذَّبائِحِ وَالقَرابِينِ، بَلْ فَتَحْتُ أُذُنَيَّ لِصَوتِكَ. لَمْ تَطلُبْ ذَبائِحَ صاعِدَةً وَذَبائِحَ خَطِيَّةٍ.

7 T hen said I, Lo, I am come; In the roll of the book it is written of me:

لِهَذا قُلْتُ: «ها قَدْ جِئْتُ. مَكتُوبٌ هَذا عَنِّي فِي الكِتابِ.

8 I delight to do thy will, O my God; Yea, thy law is within my heart.

رَغبَتِي أنْ أفعَلَ مَشِيئَتَكَ يا إلَهِي، وَشَرِيعَتُكَ هِيَ فِي قَلْبِي.»

9 I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great assembly; Lo, I will not refrain my lips, O Jehovah, thou knowest.

بَشَّرْتُ بِأعمالِكَ الحَسَنَةِ بَينَ الجَماعَةِ الكَبِيرَةِ. وَأنتَ، يا اللهُ ، تَعلَمُ أنَّنِي لا أُقفِلُ شَفَتَيَّ.

10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great assembly.

لَمْ أكتِمْ فِي قَلبِي أعمالَكَ الصّالِحَةَ. بَلْ جاهَرْتُ بِإخلاصِكَ وَخَلاصِكَ. عَنِ الجَماعَةِ الكَبِيرَةِ لَمْ أُخفِ شَيئاً مِنْ صِدْقِ مَحَبَّتِكَ وَأمانَتِكَ.

11 W ithhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Jehovah; Let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

فَلا تَمنَعْ، يا اللهُ ، عَنِّي رَحمَتِكَ. وَبِصِدْقِ مَحَبَّتِكَ وَأمانَتِكَ احمِنِي دَوْماً.

12 F or innumerable evils have compassed me about; Mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; And my heart hath failed me.

لِأنَّ أشْراراً بِلا عَدَدٍ قَدْ حاصَرُونِي. وَخَطايايَ أمسَكَتْ بِي وَلا أرَى مَهرَباً. خَطايايَ أكثَرُ مِنْ شَعْرِ رَأْسِي. وَشَجاعَتِي فارَقَتْنِي.

13 B e pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me: Make haste to help me, O Jehovah.

أرْجُوكَ أنقِذْنِي يا اللهُ! يا اللهُ ، أسرِعْ إلَى مَعُونَتِي!

14 L et them be put to shame and confounded together That seek after my soul to destroy it: Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor That delight in my hurt.

لَيتَ السّاعِينَ إلَى مَوْتِي يَخزَوْنَ وَيُهزَمُونَ! لَيتَ مَنْ يُرِيدُونَ أذِيَّتِي يَسقُطُونَ وَيَندَحِرُونَ!

15 L et them be desolate by reason of their shame That say unto me, Aha, aha.

لَيتَ المُتَهَكِّمِينَ عَلَيَّ يَخرَسُونَ فِي ذُلِّهِمْ وَخِزْيِهِمْ.

16 L et all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: Let such as love thy salvation say continually, Jehovah be magnified.

وَلْيَبتَهِجْ وَيَفْرَحْ كُلُّ مَنْ يَطلُبُكَ. لِيَقُلْ مُحِبُّو خَلاصِكَ دائِماً: «عَظِيمٌ هُوَ اللهُ!»

17 B ut I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinketh upon me: Thou art my help and my deliverer; Make no tarrying, O my God.

لَكِنِ انظُرْ إلَيَّ يا رَبِّي، لأنِّي أنا مِسكِينٌ وَبائِسٌ. إلَهِي، عَوْنِي وَخَلاصِي أنتَ. فَلا تَتَأخَّرْ.
