1 S o all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their transgression.

وَهَكَذا تَمَّ تَسجِيلُ كُلِّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ حَسَبَ أنسابِهِمْ. وَهُمْ مُسَجَّلُونَ فِي كِتابِ مُلُوكِ إسْرائِيلَ. أهلُ القدس وَقَدْ أُخِذَ أهلُ يَهُوذا إلَى السَّبْيِ فِي بابِلَ بِسَبَبِ عَدَمِ وَفائِهِمْ للهِ.

2 N ow the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

وَكانَ إسْرائِيلُ وَالكَهَنَةُ وَاللّاوِيُّونَ وَخُدّامُ الهَيكَلِ هُمْ أوَّلَ مَنْ عادَ وَسَكَنَ فِي أرْضِ آبائِهِمْ وَفِي مُدُنِهِمْ.

3 A nd in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

وَسَكَنَ فِي القُدْسِ بَعْضُ بَنِي يَهُوذا، وَبَنْيامِيْنَ، وَأفْرايِمَ، وَمَنَسَّى:

4 U thai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

عُوثايُ بْنُ عَمِّيهُودَ بْنِ عُمْرِي بْنِ إمْرِي بْنِ بانِي، مِنْ بَنِي فارَصَ بْنِ يَهُوذا.

5 A nd of the Shilonites: Asaiah the first-born, and his sons.

وَمِنْ بَنِي شَيلُونَ البِكْرُ عَسايا وَأبْناؤُهُ.

6 A nd of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

وَمِنْ بَنِي زارَحَ يَعُوئِيلُ وَإخوَتُهُمْ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَتِسْعُونَ.

7 A nd of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,

وَمِنْ بَنِي بَنْيامِيْنَ سَلُّو بْنُ مَشُلّامَ بْنِ هَوْدُويا بْنِ هَسْنُوأةَ،

8 a nd Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

وَيَبْنِيا بْنُ يَرُوحامَ، وَأَيلَةُ بْنُ عُزِّي بْنِ مِكْرِي، وَمَشُلّامُ بْنُ شَفَطْيا بْنِ رَعُوئِيلَ بْنِ يِبْنِيا،

9 a nd their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were heads of fathers' houses by their fathers' houses.

وَإخوَتُهُمْ حَسَبَ سِجِلِّ نَسَبِهِمْ تِسْعُ مِئَةٍ وَسِتَّةٌ وَخَمْسُونَ. كانَ هَؤُلاءِ الرِّجالُ كُلُّهُمْ رُؤَساءَ عائِلاتِهِمْ.

10 A nd of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, Jachin,

وَمِنَ الكَهَنَةِ يَدْعِيا وَيَهُويارِيبُ وَياكِينُ،

11 a nd Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;

وَعَزَرْيا بْنُ حِلْقِيّا بْنِ مَشُلّامَ بْنِ صادُوقَ بْنِ مَرايُوثَ بْنِ أخِيطُوبَ، المُشْرِفِ عَلَى بَيتِ اللهِ،

12 a nd Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

وَعَدايا بْنُ يَرُوحامَ بْنِ فَشْحُورَ بْنِ مَلْكِيّا، وَمَعْسايُ بْنُ عَدِيئِيلَ بْنِ يَحزِيرَةَ بْنِ مَشُلّامَ بْنِ مَشِلِّيمِيتَ بْنِ إمِّيرَ.

13 a nd their brethren, heads of their fathers' houses, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

وَأقارِبُهُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِهِمْ، ألفٌ وَسَبْعُ مِئَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ رَجُلاً مُقْتَدِراً فِي خِدْمَةِ بَيتِ اللهِ.

14 A nd of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

وَمِنَ اللّاوِيِّينَ: شَمَعْيا بْنُ حَشُّوبَ بْنِ عَزْرِيقامَ بْنِ حَشَبْيا، مِنْ بَنِي مَرارِي،

15 a nd Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph,

وَبَقْبَقَّرُ، وَحَرَشُ، وَجَلالُ، وَمَتَنْيا بْنُ مِيخا بْنِ زِكْرِي بْنِ آسافَ،

16 a nd Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

وَعُوبَدْيا بْنُ شَمَعْيا بْنِ جَلالَ بْنِ يَدُوثُونَ، وَبَرَخْيا بْنُ آسا بْنِ ألقْانَةَ الَّذِي سَكَنَ فِي قُرَى النَّطُوفاتِيِّينَ.

17 A nd the porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren (Shallum was the chief),

البَوّابُونَ هُمْ شَلُّومُ وَعَقُّوبُ وَطَلْمُونُ وَأخِيمانُ وَأقرِباؤهُمْ. وَكانَ شَلُّومُ هُوَ رَئِيسُهُمْ.

18 w ho hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

وَكانُوا سابِقاً يَقِفُونَ عِنْدَ بَوّابَةِ المَلِكِ إلَى الشَّرْقِ. كانَ هَؤُلاءِ بَوّابِي مُخَيَّماتِ اللّاوِيِّينَ.

19 A nd Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of his father's house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Jehovah, keepers of the entry.

كانَ شَلُّومُ بْنُ قُورِي بْنِ أبِياسافَ بْنِ قُورَحَ وَأقرِباءُ عائِلَتِهِ القُورَحِيُّونَ مُشْرِفِينَ عَلَى عَمَلِ الخِدْمَةِ، حُرّاساً عَلَى عَتَبَةِ الخَيْمَةِ، كَما سَبَقَ أنْ كانَ آباؤهُمْ مَسْؤُولِينَ عَنْ مَسْكَنِ اللهِ ، حُرّاساً لِلمَدْخَلِ.

20 A nd Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Jehovah was with him.

وَكانَ فِينَحاسُ بْنُ ألِعازَرَ رَئِيساً عَلَيهِمْ فِي السّابِقِ، وَكانَ اللهُ مَعَهُ.

21 Z echariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tent of meeting.

وَكانَ زَكَرِيّا بْنُ مَشَلْمِيا بَوّاباً عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ خَيمَةِ الاجْتِماعِ.

22 A ll these that were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their office of trust.

فَكانَ عَدَدُ الَّذِينَ اختِيرُوا لِيَكُونُوا بَوّابِينَ عِنْدَ العَتَباتِ مِئَتَينِ وَاثْنَي عَشَرَ، وَسُجِّلُوا وَفْقَ سِجِلِّ أنسابِهِمْ فِي قُراهُمْ. وَقَدْ عَيَّنَهُمْ داوُدُ وَصَمُوئِيلُ الرّائِي في هذا العَمَلِ لِأنَّهُمْ كانُوا جَدِيرِينَ بِالثِّقَةِ.

23 S o they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of Jehovah, even the house of the tent, by wards.

فَكانُوا هُمْ وَنَسلُهُمْ مَسْؤُولِينَ عَنْ بَوّاباتِ بَيتِ اللهِ ، بَيتِ الخَيمَةِ، حُرّاساً.

24 O n the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

وَكانَ البَوّابُونَ عَلَى الجَوانِبِ الأربَعَةِ شَرْقاً وَغَرْباً وَشَمالاً وَجَنُوباً.

25 A nd their brethren, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them:

وَكانَ عَلَى أقرِبائِهِمْ فِي قُراهُمْ أنْ يَأْتُوا مِنْ وَقْتٍ إلَى آخَرَ مُدَّةَ سَبْعَةِ أيّامٍ لِيُعِينُوهُمْ.

26 f or the four chief porters, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the chambers and over the treasuries in the house of God.

كانَ للبَوّابِينَ أربَعَةُ رُؤَساءَ لاويِّونَ أيضاً. وَكانَتْ مهمَّتُهُمُ الاهتمامَ بِالغُرَفِ الجانِبِيَّةِ حَولَ الهَيكَلِ وَبِكُنُوزِ بَيتِ اللهِ.

27 A nd they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them; and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning.

وَكانُوا يُمْضُونَ اللَّيلَ فِي جَنَباتِ بَيتِ اللهِ. فَقَدْ كانَ وَاجِبُهُمْ أنْ يَحرُسُوهُ، وَأنْ يَفْتَحُوهُ فِي كُلِّ صَباحٍ.

28 A nd certain of them had charge of the vessels of service; for by count were these brought in and by count were these taken out.

وَأُوكِلَتْ إلَى بَعْضِهِمْ مَسؤُولِيَّةُ الإشْرافِ عَلَى الآنِيَةِ المُسْتَخدَمَةِ فِي خِدْمَةِ الهَيكَلِ، إذْ كانُوا يُحصُونَها عِنْدَ إدخالِها وَإخْراجِها.

29 S ome of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

وَأُوكِلَتْ إلَى بَعْضِهِمْ مَسْؤُولِيَّةُ الإشْرافِ عَلَى الأثاثِ وَكُلِّ الآنِيَةِ المُقَدَّسَةِ، وَكُلِّ الدَّقِيقِ، وَالخَمْرِ، وَالزَّيتِ، وَالبَخُورِ، وَالتَّوابِلِ.

30 A nd some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices.

لَكِنْ كانَ خَلْطُ الدُّهُونِ لِلأطيابِ مِنَ اختِصاصِ بَعْضِ الكَهَنَةِ.

31 A nd Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the first-born of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.

وَكانَ مَتَّثْيا، وَهُوَ أحَدُ اللّاوِيِّينَ وَبِكْرُ شَلُّومَ القُورَحِيِّ، مَسْؤُولاً عَنْ صُنْعِ خُبْزِ التَّقدِمةِ.

32 A nd some of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

وَكانَ بَعضُ زُمَلائِهِمِ القَهاتِيِّينَ مَسؤُولِينَ عَنْ تَحضِيرِ الخُبْزِ المَوْضُوعِ فِي صُفُوفٍ كَلَّ سَبْتٍ.

33 A nd these are the singers, heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, who dwelt in the chambers and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night.

وَهَؤلاءِ هُمُ المُرَنِّمُونَ، رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِ اللّاوِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ لازَمُوا غُرَفَ الهَيكَلِ مَعْفِيِّينَ مِنْ أيَّةِ واجِباتٍ أُخْرَى، لِأنَّهُمْ كانُوا مَسْؤُولِينَ عَنِ العَمَلِ نَهاراً وَلَيلاً.

34 T hese were heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men: these dwelt at Jerusalem.

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ رُؤَساءُ عائِلاتِ اللّاوِيِّينَ المُدْرَجُونَ فِي سِجِلّاتِ الأنسابِ كَزُعَماءَ. وَقَدْ سَكَنَ هَؤُلاءِ فِي القُدْسِ. نَسَبُ شاوُل

35 A nd in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah:

وَسَكَنَ فِي جِبْعُونَ يَعُوئِيلُ، مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ جِبْعُونَ. وَكانَ اسْمُ زَوْجَتِهِ مَعْكَةَ.

36 a nd his first-born son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

وَابْنُهُ البِكْرُ عَبْدُونُ ثُمَّ صُورُ وَقَيْسُ وَنِيرُ وَنادابُ

37 a nd Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

وَجُدُورُ وَأخِيُو وَزَكَرِيّا وَمِقلُوثُ.

38 A nd Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.

وَأنجَبَ مِقلُوثُ شَمْآمَ. وَسَكَنُوا هُمْ أيضاً قُربَ أقرِبائِهِمْ فِي القُدْسِ.

39 A nd Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

وَأنجَبَ نِيْرُ قَيْساً. وَأنجَبَ قَيْسٌ شاوُلَ، وَأنجَبَ شاوُلُ يُوناثانَ وَمَلْكِيشُوعَ وَأبِينادابَ وَإشْبَعَلَ.

40 A nd the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begat Micah.

وَابْنُ يُوناثانَ هُوَ مَرِيبَّعَلُ. وَأنجَبَ مَرِيبَّعَلُ مِيخا.

41 A nd the sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.

وَأبْناءُ مِيخا فِيثُونُ وَمالِكُ وَتَحْرِيعُ وَآحازُ.

42 A nd Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;

وَأنجَبَ آحازُ يَعْرَةَ. وَأنجَبَ يَعْرَةُ عَلْمَثَ وَعَزْمُوتَ وَزِمْرِي. وَأنجَبَ زِمْرِي مُوصا.

43 a nd Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

وَأنجَبَ مُوصا يِنْعا. وَابْنُ يِنْعا هُوَ رَفايا، وَابْنُ رَفايا هُوَ ألْعَسَةُ، وَابْنُ ألْعَسَةَ هُوَ آصِيلُ.

44 A nd Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.

وَكانَ لآصِيلَ سِتَّةُ أبْناءٍ هُمْ عَزْرِيقامُ وَبُكْرُو وَإسْماعِيلُ وَشَعَرْيا وَعُوبَدْيا وَحانانُ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ آصِيلَ.
