N ow the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

وَكانَ إسْرائِيلُ وَالكَهَنَةُ وَاللّاوِيُّونَ وَخُدّامُ الهَيكَلِ هُمْ أوَّلَ مَنْ عادَ وَسَكَنَ فِي أرْضِ آبائِهِمْ وَفِي مُدُنِهِمْ.
