1 T hen Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.

وَقامَ ألِياشِيبُ رَئِيسُ الكَهَنَةِ وَزُمَلاؤُهُ الكَهَنَةُ لِلعَمَلِ. فَأقامُوا بابَ الضَّأْنِ. هُمْ رَفَعُوا دَفَّتَيهِ، وَكَرَّسُوهُ للهِ حَتَّى بُرجِ المِئَةِ، وَإلَى بُرجِ حَنَئِيلَ.

2 A nd next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

وَبَنَى بِجانِبِ ألِياشِيبَ رِجالُ أرِيحا، وَبِجانِبِهِمْ بَنَى زَكُّورُ بْنُ إمرِي.

3 A nd the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

وَاقامَ بَنُو هَسْناءَةَ بابَ السَّمَكِ. هُمْ ثَبَّتُوا عَتَبَتَهُ العُليا وَرَفَعُوا دَفَّتَيهِ وَوَضَعُوا أقفالَهُ وَمَزالِيجَهُ.

4 A nd next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

وَقامَ مَرِيمُوثُ بْنُ أُورِيّا بْنِ هَقُّوصَ بِإصلاحِ القِسْمِ المُجاوِرِ مِنَ السُّورِ. وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ مَشُلّامُ بْنُ بَرَخْيا بْنِ مَشِيزَبْئِيلَ. وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ صادُوقُ بْنُ بَعْنا.

5 A nd next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord.

وَبِجانِبِهِمْ رَمَّمَ رِجالُ تَقُوعَ. لَكِنَّ أشرافَهُمْ وَقادَتَهُمْ رَفَضُوا أنْ يَعمَلُوا لَدَى سَيِّدِهِمْ.

6 A nd the old gate repaired Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

وَرَمَّمَ يُوياداعُ بْنُ فاسِيحَ وَمَشُلّامُ بْنُ بَسُودْيا البابَ العَتِيقَ لِلمَدِينَةِ. هُما ثَبَّتا عَتَبَتَهُ العُليا وَرَفَعا دَفَّتَيهِ وَوَضَعا أقفالَهُ وَمَزالِيجَهُ.

7 A nd next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, that appertained to the throne of the governor beyond the River.

وَبِجانِبِهِما رَمَّمَ مَلَطْيا الجِبْعُونِيُّ وَيادُونُ المِيرُونُوثِيُّ مَعَ رِجالٍ مِنْ جِبعُونَ وَالمِصفاةِ – وَهُما مَدِينَتانِ تابِعَتانِ لِوالِي مِنْطَقَةِ غَرْبِ النَّهْرِ.

8 N ext unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths. And next unto him repaired Hananiah one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem even unto the broad wall.

وَبِجانِبِ مَلَطِيا رَمَّمَ عُزَّيئِيلُ بْنُ حَرْهايا، وَهُوَ صائِغُ ذَهَبٍ. وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ حَنَنْيا العَطّارُ وَأصلَحَ القُدسَ حَتَّى السُّورِ العَرِيضِ.

9 A nd next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.

وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ رَفايا بْنُ حُورٍ، وَهُوَ حاكِمٌ عَلَى نِصْفِ مِنْطَقَةِ القُدسِ.

10 A nd next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah.

وَبِجانِبِهِ أصلَحَ يَدايا بْنُ حَرُومافَ مُقابِلَ بَيتِهِ، وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ حَطُّوشُ بْنُ حَشَبْنِيا.

11 M alchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.

وَأصلَحَ مَلْكِيّا بْنُ حارِيمَ وَحَشُّوبُ بْنُ فَحثٍ مُوآبَ قِسْماً آخَرَ، وَبُرجَ التَنانِيرِ.

12 A nd next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

وَبِجانِبِهِمْ رَمَّمَ شَلُّومُ بْنُ هَلُّوحِيشَ حاكِمُ نِصفِ مِنْطَقَةِ القُدسِ مَعَ بَناتِهِ.

13 T he valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate.

وَأصلَحَ حانُونُ وَسُكّانُ زانُوحَ بابَ الوادِي. هُمْ أقامُوهُ وَرَفَعُوا دَفَّتَيهِ وَوَضَعُوا أقفالَهُ وَمَزالِيجَهُ. وَأصلَحُوا مَسافَةَ ألفِ ذِراعٍ مِنَ السُّورِ إلَى بابِ الدِّمْنِ.

14 A nd the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

وَرَمَّمَ مَلْكِيّا بْنُ رَكابَ، وَهُوَ حاكِمُ مِنْطَقَةِ بَيتِ هَكارِيمَ بابَ الدِّمْنِ. فَبَناهُ وَثَبَّتَ مِصْراعَيْهِ وَوَضَعَ أقْفالَهُ وَمَزالِيجَهُ.

15 A nd the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king's garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.

وَرَمَّمَ شَلُّونُ بْنُ كَلحُوزَةَ، وَهُوَ والِي مِنْطَقَةِ المِصفاةِ، بابَ العَينِ. هُوَ أقامِهُ وَثَبَّتَ عَتَبَتَهُ العُليا وَرَفَعَ دَفَّتَيهِ وَوَضَعَ أقْفالَهُ وَمَزالِيجَهُ. كَما رَمَّمَ سُورَ بِرْكَةِ سِلْوامَ عِندَ حَدِيقَةِ المَلِكِ إلَى الدَّرَجاتِ النّازِلَةِ مِنْ مَدِينَةِ داوُدَ.

16 A fter him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men.

بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ نَحَمْيا بْنُ عَزبُوقَ، وَهُوَ حاكِمٌ عَلَى نِصْفِ مِنْطَقَةِ بَيتِ صُورَ إلَى مُقابِلِ قُبُورِ داوُدَ وَحَتَّى البِركَةِ الصِّناعِيَّةِ وَبَيتِ الأبطالِ.

17 A fter him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ اللّاوِيُّونَ بِقِيادَةِ رَحُومَ بْنِ بانِي، وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ حَشَبْيا حاكِمُ مِنْطَقَةِ قَعِيلَةَ مَنطِقَتَهُ.

18 A fter him repaired their brethren, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قامَ إخوانُهُمْ بِالتَّرمِيمِ، فَرَمَّمَ بَوّايُ بْنُ حِينادادَ، حاكِمُ نِصْفِ مِنْطَقَةِ قَعِيلَةَ.

19 A nd next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion, over against the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall.

وَبِجانِبِهِ رَمَّمَ عازَرُ بْنُ يَشُوعَ حاكِمُ المِصفاةِ قِسْماً آخَرَ مُقابِلَ مَطلَعِ مُستَودَعِ الأسلِحَةِ إلَى الزّاوِيَةِ.

20 A fter him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ بارُوخُ بْنُ زَبّايَ قِسْماً ثانِياً مِنَ الزّاوِيَةِ إلَى مَدخَلِ بَيتِ ألْياشِيبَ رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ.

21 A fter him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ أُورِيّا بْنُ هَقُّوصَ قِسْماً آخَرَ مِنْ مَدخَلِ بَيتِ ألْياشِيبَ إلَى آخِرِهِ.

22 A nd after him repaired the priests, the men of the Plain.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قامَ كَهَنَةُ الأماكِنِ المُحِيطَةِ بِأعمالِ التَّرمِيمِ.

23 A fter them repaired Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah beside his own house.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أصلَحَ بَنْيامِيْنُ وَحَشُّوبُ أمامَ بَيتِهِما، وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ عَزَرْيا بْنُ مَعْسِيّا بْنُ عَنَنْيا قُرْبَ بَيتِهِ.

24 A fter him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah unto the turning of the wall, and unto the corner.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أصلَحَ بَنُّويُ بْنُ حِينادادَ جُزءاً آخَرَ مِنْ بَيتِ عَزرِيا إلَى الزّاوِيَةِ وَالمُنعَطَفِ.

25 P alal the son of Uzai repaired over against the turning of the wall, and the tower that standeth out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh repaired.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ فَلالُ بْنُ أُوزايَ مِنْ مُقابِل الزّاوِيَةِ لبَيتِ المَلِكِ العُلوِيِّ وَالبُرجِ البارِزِ، وَهُوَ يَخُصُّ ساحَةَ الحُرّاسِ. وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ فَدايا بْنُ فَرْعُوشَ.

26 ( Now the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.)

وَخُدّامُ الهَيكَلِ الَّذِينَ يَسكُنُونَ تَلَّةَ عُوفَلَ، رَمَّمُوا إلَى مُقابِلِ بابِ الماءِ شَرْقاً، وَإلَى البُرجِ البارِزِ مِنَ القَصْرِ.

27 A fter him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that standeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أصلَحَ رِجالُ تَقُوعَ جُزءاً آخَرَ مِنْ مَكانٍ مُقابِلِ البُرجَ الكَبِيرَ البارِزَ إلَى سُورِ عُوفَلَ.

28 A bove the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his own house.

وَأصلَحَ الكَهَنَةُ فَوقَ بابِ الخَيلِ، كُلُّ واحِدٍ مُقابِلَ بَيتِهِ.

29 A fter them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ صادُوقُ بْنُ إمِّيرَ مُقابِلَ بَيتِهِ. وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ شَمَعْيا بْنُ شَكَنْيا حارِسُ بابِ الشَّرقِ.

30 A fter him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ حَنَنْيا بْنُ شَلَمْيا وَحانُونُ، وَهُوَ الابْنُ السّادِسُ لِصالافَ، جُزءاً ثانِياً. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ مَشُلّامُ بْنُ بَرَخْيا مُقابِلَ غُرفَتِهِ.

31 A fter him repaired Malchijah one of the goldsmiths unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَمَّمَ مَلْكِيّا، وَهُوَ صائِغُ ذَهَبٍ، إلَى بَيتِ خُدّامِ الهَيكَلِ وَالتُّجّارِ، مُقابِلَ بابِ العَدِّ، وَإلَى الغُرفَةِ العُلوِيَّةِ عِندَ الزّاوِيَةِ.

32 A nd between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.

وَرَمَّمَ صائِغُو الذَّهَبِ وَالتُّجّارُ ما بَينَ الغُرفَةِ العُلوِيَّةِ عِندَ الزّاوِيَةِ وَبابِ الضَّأْنِ.
