1 M oreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

ثُمَّ أتَتْ إلَيَّ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ:

2 A nd thou, son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? then cause her to know all her abominations.

«يا إنْسانُ، هَلْ سَتُصدِرُ حُكماً عَلَى هَذِهِ المَدِينَةِ القاتِلَةِ وَتُخبِرُها بِكُلِّ أعمالِها الكَرِيهَةِ؟

3 A nd thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A city that sheddeth blood in the midst of her, that her time may come, and that maketh idols against herself to defile her!

قُلْ لَهُمْ: يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: ‹القُدْسُ مَدِينَةٌ سَفَكَتْ دَماً فِي وَسَطِها. لِذَلِكَ جاءَ وَقتُ عِقابِها. صَنَعَتْ أصناماً لِتُنَجِّسَ نَفسَها بِهِا.

4 T hou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed, and art defiled in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.

سَتُعاقَبِينَ عَلَى الدَّمِ الَّذِي سَفَكتِهِ، وَسَتَتَنَجَّسِينَ بِالأصنامِ القَذِرَةِ الَّتِي صَنَعتِها! قَدْ أتَى وَقتُكِ! قَدْ بَلَغْتِ نِهايَةَ سِنِيكِ! وَلِذا فَإنِّي سَأجعَلُكِ أُضْحُوكَةً عِنْدَ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ، وَمَوضُوعَ سُخْرِيَةٍ فِي كُلِّ الأراضِي.

5 T hose that are near, and those that are far from thee, shall mock thee, thou infamous one and full of tumult.

سَتَسْخَرُ كُلُّ البِلادِ البَعِيدَةِ وَالقَرِيبَةِ بِكِ. قَدْ نَجَّسْتِ اسْمَكِ. وَها أنْتِ تَملأوكِ الفَوضَى.

6 B ehold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his power, have been in thee to shed blood.

ها قَدْ حَمَلَ كُلُّ رُؤَساءِ إسْرائِيلَ مَعَكِ أسلِحَةً لِسَفكِ الدَّمِ.

7 I n thee have they set light by father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the sojourner; in thee have they wronged the fatherless and the widow.

يا قُدسُ، فِيكِ يُهانُ الآباءُ وَتُساءُ مُعامَلَةُ الأجانِبِ وَاليَتامَى وَالأرامِلِ. وَلا تُقَدَّمُ لَهُمْ أيَّةُ مُساعَدَةٍ.

8 T hou hast despised my holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

استَهَنْتِ بِمُقَدَّساتِي، وَدَنَّسْتِ أيّامَ الرَّاحَةِ الَّتِي عَيَّنْتُها.

9 S landerous men have been in thee to shed blood; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness.

يا قُدسُ، فِيكِ أُناسٌ يَكذِبُونَ فَيَتَسَبَّبُونَ بِقَتلِ النّاسِ. يَصعَدُونَ لِيَأكُلُوا طَعامِي عَلَى جِبالِكِ، وَيَعمَلُونَ فِيكِ أعمالاً قَذِرَة حَقِيرَةً.

10 I n thee have they uncovered their fathers' nakedness; in thee have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity.

فِيكِ رِجالٌ يُعاشِرُونَ زَوجاتِ آبائِهِمْ، وَيَغتَصِبُ الرِّجالُ النِّساءَ، بَلْ وَيُنَجِّسُونَ أنفُسَهُمْ حَتَّى مَعَ النِّساءِ فِي فَتْرَةِ الحَيضِ.

11 A nd one hath committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

وَيَتَنَجَّسُ الرِّجالُ بِزَوجاتِ جِيرانِهِمْ وَبِكِنّاتِهِمْ. بَلْ وَيَغتَصِبُ الرِّجالُ فِيكِ أخَواتِهِمُ اللَّواتِي هُنَّ مِنْ لَحمِهِمْ وَدَمِهِمْ.

12 I n thee have they taken bribes to shed blood; thou hast taken interest and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbors by oppression, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Jehovah.

يَأخُذُ القادَةُ فِيكِ رِشْوَةً للِصَّمتِ عَنْ سَفكِ الدَّمِ وَالقَتلِ. طَلَبْتِ فائِدَةً وَرِباً عَنِ القُرُوضِ المُعطاةِ لِلفُقَراءِ، فَسَلَبْتِ جِيرانَكِ ظُلماً، وَنَسِيتِينِي تَماماً.» يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.

13 B ehold, therefore, I have smitten my hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

«وَلَكِنِّي سَأَضرِبُ يَدَاً بِيَدٍ بِسَبَبِ مَكاسِبِكِ الظّالِمَةِ، وَبِسَبَبِ الدَّمِ البَريءِ الَّذِي سُفِكَ فِي وَسَطِكِ.

14 C an thy heart endure, or can thy hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken it, and will do it.

أتَظُنِّينَ أنَّ شُجاعَتَكِ سَتَصمِدُ، أوْ أنَّ يَدَيكِ سَتَثبُتانِ يَومَ يأتِي وَقتُ عِقابِكِ؟ فَأنا اللهَ تَكَلَّمْتُ وَسَأفعَلُ.

15 A nd I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee through the countries; and I will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

سَأُبَعثِرُ شَعبَكِ بَينَ الأُمَمِ، وَسَأُشَتِّتُهُ فِي بِلادٍ غَرِيبَةٍ، وَسَأحُطِّمُ كُلَّ ما فِيكِ مِنْ نَجاساتٍ،

16 A nd thou shalt be profaned in thyself, in the sight of the nations; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

بَعدَ أنْ نَجَّسْتِ نَفسَكِ أمامَ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ. حِينَئِذٍ، سَتَعلَمِينَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ.»

17 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

ثُمَّ أتَتْ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ إلَيَّ:

18 S on of man, the house of Israel is become dross unto me: all of them are brass and tin and iron and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.

«يا إنْسانُ، صارَ بَيتُ إسْرائِيلَ بِالنِّسبَةِ لِي كَنُفايَةِ المَعادِنِ. إنَّهُمْ مِثلُ البُرونْزِ وَالقَصدِيرِ وَالحَدِيدِ وَالرَّصاصِ فِي فُرنِ التَّنقِيَةِ، مَعَ أنَّهُمْ كانُوا فِضَّةً نَقِيَّةً سابقاً.»

19 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

وَلِذا، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ: «لأنَّكُمْ صِرتُمْ نُفايَةَ مَعادِنٍ، فَإنِّي سَأجمَعُكُمْ جَمِيعاً فِي داخِلِ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ.

20 A s they gather silver and brass and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there, and melt you.

سَتَكُونُونَ كَفِضَّةٍ وَنُحاسٍ وَحَدِيدٍ وَرَصاصٍ وَقَصدِيرٍ مُلقاةٍ مَعاً فِي فُرنِ تَنقِيَةٍ لِنَفخِ النّارِ عَلَيها وَإذابَتِها. سَتَكُونُونَ مِثلَها، حَيثُ سَأجمَعُكُمْ فِي غَضَبِي وَسَخَطِيَ المُشتَعِلِ، وَأُلقِيكُمْ فِي الفُرنِ وَأُذِيبُكُمْ.

21 Y ea, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

سَأجمَعُكُمْ وَأنفُخُ عَلَيكُمْ نارَ غَضَبِي، فَتَذُوبُونَ داخِلَ مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ.

22 A s silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have poured out my wrath upon you.

وَكَما تَذُوبُ الفِضَّةُ داخِلَ فُرنِ تَنقِيَةٍ، هَكَذا سَتَذُوبُونَ فِيها. حِينَئِذٍ، سَتَعرِفُونَ أنِّي أنا اللهُ الَّذِي سَكَبتُ عَلَيكُمْ غَضَباً شَدِيداً.»

23 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

ثُمَّ أتَتْ إلَيَّ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ:

24 S on of man, say unto her, Thou art a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

«يا إنْسانُ، قُلْ لَها: ‹أنتِ أرْضٌ غَيْرُ طاهِرَةٍ، أرْضٌ لا يَأتِي عَلَيها المَطَرُ بِسَبَبِ غَضَبِي.

25 T here is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey: they have devoured souls; they take treasure and precious things; they have made her widows many in the midst thereof.

الأنبِياءُ الَّذِينَ فِي داخِلِكِ كَالأسَدِ الَّذِي يَزأرُ ويَخطِفُ فَرِيسَتَهُ وَيُمَزِّقُها وَيَلتَهِمُها. فَقَدْ أخَذُوا ثَروَةً وَأشياءً ثَمِينَةً، وَتَسَبَّبُوا بِزِيادَةِ عَدَدِ الأرامِلِ فِي الأرْضِ.

26 H er priests have done violence to my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

خالَفَ كَهَنَتُها شَرِيعَتِي، وَنَجَّسُوا الأشياءَ المُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي لِي. لَمْ يُمَيِّزُوا بَينَ المُقَدَّسِ وَالدَنِسِ، وَلَمْ يُخبِرُوا أحَداً بِما هُوَ نَجِسٌ وَما هُوَ طاهِرٌ. رَفَضُوا أنْ يَحفَظُوا أيّامَ الرَّاحَةِ الَّتِي عَيَّنْتُها، فَدَنَّسُوا وَصايايَ فِي وَسَطِهِمْ!

27 H er princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.

قادَتُها فِي وَسَطِها مِثلُ ذِئابٍ تُمَزِّقُ فَرائِسَها، فَيَسفِكُونَ دَماً وَيُنهُونَ حَياةَ أُناسٍ لِيُحَقِّقُوا أرباحاً غَيرَ شَرعِيَّةٍ.

28 A nd her prophets have daubed for them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, when Jehovah hath not spoken.

أنبِياؤُها يُخفُونَ الحَقِيقَةَ، فَيَضَعُونَ الجِبصَ عَلَى الجُدرانِ المُشَقَّقَةِ، إذْ إنَّهُمْ يُخبِرُونَ بِالكَذِبِ وَيَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِعِرافَةٍ كاذِبَةٍ. يَقُولُونَ: ‹هَذا هُوَ ما يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ ،› مَعَ أنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يَتَكلَّمْ إلَيهِمْ.

29 T he people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery; yea, they have vexed the poor and needy, and have oppressed the sojourner wrongfully.

يَظلِمُونَ النّاسَ وَيَبتَزُّونَ المالَ مِنهُمْ. يَظلِمُونَ الفُقَراءَ وَالمُحتاجِينَ، وَيُضايِقُونَ الغُرَباءَ السّاكِنِينَ فِي إسْرائِيلَ وَيَسلِبُونَهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ وَلا يُنصِفُونَهُمْ.

30 A nd I sought for a man among them, that should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.

بَحَثتُ عَن إنسانٍ مِنهُمْ يُصلِحُ السِّياجَ، عَنْ شَخصٍ يَقِفُ فِي شَقِّ السُّورِ الَّذِي أمامَ الأرْضِ حَتَّى لا تُدَمَّرَ، وَلَكِنَّنِي لَمْ أستَطِعْ أنْ أجِدَ وَلا حَتَّى واحِداً فَقَطْ.

31 T herefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I brought upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.

وَلِذا فَإنِّي سَأسكُبُ غَضَبِي عَلَيهِمْ! سَأُفنِيهِمْ بِغَضَبِيَ المُشتَعِلِ، وَسَأُحاسِبُهُمْ عَنْ أعمالِهِمْ.» يَقُولُ الرّبُّ الإلَهُ.
