1 B ehold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are as doves behind thy veil. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, That lie along the side of mount Gilead.

ما أجمَلَكِ يا حَبِيبَتِي! ما أجمَلَكِ! عَيناكِ كَيَمامَتَينِ خَلفَ نِقابِكِ. شَعْرُكِ كَقَطِيعِ ماعِزٍ يَنحَدِرُ مِنْ عَلَى جَبَلِ جِلْعادَ.

2 T hy teeth are like a flock of ewes that are newly shorn, Which are come up from the washing, Whereof every one hath twins, And none is bereaved among them.

وَأسنانُكِ كَقَطِيعِ النِّعاجِ المَجْزُوزَةِ وَالمَغسُولَةِ للِتَوِّ. كُلٌّ مِنْها أنْجَبَتْ تَوأمَينِ! وَليسَ فِيها عَقِيمٌ.

3 T hy lips are like a thread of scarlet, And thy mouth is comely. Thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate Behind thy veil.

شَفَتاكِ كَخَيطِ الأُرجُوانِ، وَفَمُكِ بَدِيعٌ. كَفَلَقَةِ رُمّانَةٍ هُوَ خَدُّكِ تَحتَ خِمارِكِ.

4 T hy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armory, Whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, All the shields of the mighty men.

عُنُقُكِ كَبُرجِ داوُدَ، مَبنِيٌّ بِصُفُوفٍ مِنَ الحِجارَةِ وَألفُ تُرسٍ مُعُلَّقٌ عَلَيهِ، مِنْ كُلِّ نَوعٍ مِنْ أنواعِ تُرُوسِ المُحارِبِينَ.

5 T hy two breasts are like two fawns That are twins of a roe, Which feed among the lilies.

ثَدْياكِ كابنَيِّ ظَبيٍ، كَتَوأمَينِ يَرعَيانِ بَينَ الزَّنابِقِ.

6 U ntil the day be cool, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, And to the hill of frankincense.

إلَى جَبَلِ المُرِّ سَأذهَبُ، وَإلَى تَلَّةِ البَخُورِ، إلَى أنْ يَصحُوَ النَّهارُ وَتَختَفِي ظِلالُ اللَّيلِ.

7 T hou art all fair, my love; And there is no spot in thee.

كُلُّ ما فِيكِ بَدِيعٌ، يا حَبِيبَتِي، وَلَيسَ فِيكِ عَيبٌ.

8 C ome with me from Lebanon, my bride, With me from Lebanon: Look from the top of Amana, From the top of Senir and Hermon, From the lions' dens, From the mountains of the leopards.

تَعالِي مَعِي مِنْ لُبنانَ، يا عَرُوسِي، تَعالِي مَعِي مِنْ لُبنانَ. أسرِعِي بِالنُّزُولِ مِنْ قِمَّةِ جَبَلِ أمانَةَ، مِنْ قِمَّةِ جَبَلِ سَنِيرَ وَجَبَلِ حَرْمُونَ، مِنْ عَرائِنِ الأُسُودِ، مِنَ الجِّبالِ الَّتِي تَطُوفُ فِيها النُّمُورُ.

9 T hou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my bride; Thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, With one chain of thy neck.

يا عَزِيزَتِي، قَد سَبَيتِ قَلبِي، يا عَرُوسِي، لَقَد سَبَيتِ قَلبِي بِلَمحَةٍ واحِدَةٍ مِنْ عَينَيكِ، بِخَرَزَةٍ واحِدَةٍ مِنْ عِقدِكِ.

10 H ow fair is thy love, my sister, my bride! How much better is thy love than wine! And the fragrance of thine oils than all manner of spices!

ما أبدَعَ حُبَّكِ، يا عَزِيزَتِي، يا عَرُوسِي! حُبُّكِ ألَذُّ مِنَ النَّبِيذِ، وَرائِحَةُ زُيُوتِكِ الفَوّاحَةُ أحلَى مِنْ كُلِّ عِطرٍ.

11 T hy lips, O my bride, drop as the honeycomb: Honey and milk are under thy tongue; And the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.

شَفَتاكِ تَقطُرانِ شَهْداً، يا عَرُوسِي. وَتَحتَ لِسانِكِ عَسَلٌ وَحَلِيبٌ. شَذا ثِيابِكِ كَشَذا أرزِ لُبنانَ.

12 A garden shut up is my sister, my bride; A spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

بُستانٌ مُقفَلٌ هِيَ عَزِيزَتِي وَعَرُوسِي، بَستانٌ مُقفَلٌ وَيَنبُوعٌ مَختُومٌ.

13 T hy shoots are an orchard of pomegranates, with precious fruits; Henna with spikenard plants,

حُقُولُكِ المَروِيَّةُ بُسْتانُ رُمّانٍ فِيهِ أفْضَلُ الثِّمارِ، تَحمِلُ الحِنّاءَ وَأطياباً وَنارِدِينَ.

14 S pikenard and saffron, Calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; Myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices.

تَحْمِلَ النّارِدِينَ وَالزَّعفَرانَ وَالقَصَبَ وَالقِرفَةَ وَالمُرَّ وَالصَّبرَ، مَعَ أفضَلِ الأطيابِ.

15 T hou art a fountain of gardens, A well of living waters, And flowing streams from Lebanon.

أنتِ كَيَنبُوعٍ فِي بُستانٍ. كَبِئرِ ماءٍ عَذبٍ، وَكَجَداوِلَ تَتَدَفَّقُ مِنْ جِبالِ لُبنانَ. هِيَ تَقُولُ:

16 A wake, O north wind; and come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat his precious fruits.

استَيقِظِي، أيَّتُها الرِّيحُ الشَّمالِيَّةُ. وَهُبِّي، أيَّتُها الرِّيحُ الجَنُوبِيَّهُ عَلَى بُستانِهِ هُبِّي وَانْشُرِي أطيابَهُ. لِيَأتِ حَبِيبِي إلَى بُستانِهِ، وَليَأكُلْ ثِمارَهُ الرّائِعَةَ.
