T he foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

أمّا أساساتُ المَدِينَةِ فَكانَتْ مُزَيَّنَةً بِكُلِّ أنواعِ الأحجارِ الكَرِيمَةِ. فَحَجَرُ الأساسِ الأوَّلُ كانَ مِنَ اليَشْبِ، وَالثّانِي مِنَ الياقُوتِ الأزرَقِ، وَالثّالِثُ مِنَ العَقِيقِ الأبيَضِ، وَالرّابِعُ مِنَ الزُّمُرُّدِ،
