1 B endirei ao Senhor em todo o tempo; o seu louvor estará continuamente na minha boca.

By David, in his changing his behaviour before Abimelech, and he driveth him away, and he goeth. I do bless Jehovah at all times, Continually His praise in my mouth.

2 N o Senhor se gloria a minha alma; ouçam-no os mansos e se alegrem.

In Jehovah doth my soul boast herself, Hear do the humble and rejoice.

3 E ngrandeci ao Senhor comigo, e juntos exaltemos o seu nome.

Ascribe ye greatness to Jehovah with me, And we exalt His name together.

4 B usquei ao Senhor, e ele me respondeu, e de todos os meus temores me livrou.

I sought Jehovah, and He answered me, And from all my fears did deliver me.

5 O lhai para ele, e sede iluminados; e os vossos rostos jamais serão confundidos.

They looked expectingly unto Him, And they became bright, And their faces are not ashamed.

6 C lamou este pobre, e o Senhor o ouviu, e o livrou de todas as suas angústias.

This poor called, and Jehovah heard, And from all his distresses saved him.

7 O anjo do Senhor acampa-se ao redor dos que o temem, e os livra.

A messenger of Jehovah is encamping, Round about those who fear Him, And He armeth them.

8 P rovai, e vede que o Senhor é bom; bem-aventurado o homem que nele se refugia.

Taste ye and see that Jehovah good, O the happiness of the man who trusteth in Him.

9 T emei ao Senhor, vós, seus santos, porque nada falta aos que o temem.

Fear Jehovah, ye His holy ones, For there is no lack to those fearing Him.

10 O s leõezinhos necessitam e sofrem fome, mas

Young lions have lacked and been hungry, And those seeking Jehovah lack not any good,

11 V inde, filhos, ouvi-me; eu vos ensinarei o temor do Senhor.

Come ye, children, hearken to me, The fear of Jehovah I do teach you.

12 Q uem é o homem que deseja a vida, e quer longos dias para ver o bem?

Who the man that is desiring life? Loving days to see good?

13 G uarda a tua língua do mal, e os teus lábios de falarem dolosamente.

Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking deceit.

14 A parta-te do mal, e faze o bem: busca a paz, e segue-a.

Turn aside from evil and do good, Seek peace and pursue it.

15 O s olhos do Senhor estão sobre os justos, e os seus ouvidos atentos ao seu clamor.

The eyes of Jehovah unto the righteous, And His ears unto their cry.

16 A face do Senhor está contra os que fazem o mal, para desarraigar da terra a memória deles.

(The face of Jehovah on doers of evil, To cut off from earth their memorial.)

17 O s justos clama, e o Senhor os ouve, e os livra de todas as suas angústias.

They cried, and Jehovah heard, And from all their distresses delivered them.

18 P erto está o Senhor dos que têm o coração quebrantado, e salva os contritos de espírito.

Near Jehovah to the broken of heart, And the bruised of spirit He saveth.

19 M uitas são as aflições do justo, mas de todas elas o Senhor o livra.

Many the evils of the righteous, Out of them all doth Jehovah deliver him.

20 E le lhe preserva todos os ossos; nem sequer um deles se quebra.

He is keeping all his bones, One of them hath not been broken.

21 A malícia matará o ímpio, e os que odeiam o justo serão condenados.

Evil doth put to death the wicked, And those hating the righteous are desolate.

22 O Senhor resgata a alma dos seus servos, e nenhum dos que nele se refugiam será condenado.

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of His servants, And none trusting in Him are desolate!
