1 L evanta-te, resplandece, porque é chegada a tua luz, e é nascida sobre ti a glória do Senhor.

Arise, be bright, for come hath thy light, And the honour of Jehovah hath risen on thee.

2 P ois eis que as trevas cobrirão a terra, e a escuridão os povos; mas sobre ti o Senhor virá surgindo, e a sua glória se verá sobre ti.

For, lo, the darkness doth cover the earth, And thick darkness the peoples, And on thee rise doth Jehovah, And His honour on thee is seen.

3 E nações caminharão para a tua luz, e reis para o resplendor da tua aurora.

And come have nations to thy light, And kings to the brightness of thy rising.

4 L evanta em redor os teus olhos, e vê; todos estes se ajuntam, e vêm ter contigo; teus filhos vêm de longe, e tuas filhas se criarão a teu lado.

Lift up round about thine eyes and see, All of them have been gathered, they have come to thee, Thy sons from afar do come, And thy daughters on the side are supported.

5 E ntão o verás, e estarás radiante, e o teu coração estremecerá e se alegrará; porque a abundância do mar se tornará a ti, e as riquezas das nações a ti virão.

Then thou seest, and hast become bright, And thine heart hath been afraid and enlarged, For turn unto thee doth the multitude of the sea, The forces of nations do come to thee.

6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedários de Midiã e Efá; todos os de Sabá, virão; trarão ouro e incenso, e publicarão os louvores do Senhor.

A company of camels covereth thee, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, All of them from Sheba do come, Gold and frankincense they bear, And of the praises of Jehovah they proclaim the tidings.

7 T odos os rebanhos de Quedar se congregarão em ti, os carneiros de Nebaoite te servirão; com aceitação subirão ao meu altar, e eu glorificarei a casa da minha glória.

All the flock of Kedar are gathered to thee, The rams of Nebaioth do serve thee, They ascend for acceptance Mine altar, And the house of My beauty I beautify.

8 Q uem são estes que vêm voando como nuvens e como pombas para as suas janelas?

Who these -- as a thick cloud they fly, And as doves unto their windows?

9 C ertamente as ilhas me aguardarão, e vêm primeiro os navios de Társis, para trazerem teus filhos de longe, e com eles a sua prata e o seu ouro, para o nome do Senhor teu Deus, e para o Santo de Israel, porquanto ele te glorificou.

Surely for Me isles do wait, And ships of Tarshish first, To bring thy sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of Jehovah thy God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He hath beautified thee.

10 E estrangeiros edificarão os teus muros, e os seus reis te servirão; porque na minha ira te feri, mas na minha benignidade tive misericórdia de ti.

And sons of a stranger have built thy walls, And their kings do serve thee, For in My wrath I have smitten thee, And in My good pleasure I have pitied thee.

11 A s tuas portas estarão abertas de contínuo; nem de dia nem de noite se fecharão; para que te sejam trazidas as riquezas das nações, e conduzidos com elas os seus reis.

And opened have thy gates continually, By day and by night they are not shut, To bring unto thee the force of nations, Even their kings are led.

12 P orque a nação e o reino que não te servirem perecerão; sim, essas nações serão de todo assoladas.

For the nation and the kingdom that do not serve thee perish, Yea, the nations are utterly wasted.

13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti; a faia, o olmeiro, e o buxo conjuntamente, para ornarem o lugar do meu santuário; e farei glorioso o lugar em que assentam os meus pés.

The honour of Lebanon unto thee doth come, Fir, pine, and box together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary, And the place of My feet I make honourable.

14 T ambém virão a ti, inclinando-se, os filhos dos que te oprimiram; e prostrar-se-ão junto

And come unto thee, bowing down, Have sons of those afflicting thee, And bowed themselves to the soles of thy feet Have all despising thee, And they have cried to thee: `City of Jehovah, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.'

15 A o invés de seres abandonada e odiada como eras, de sorte que ninguém por ti passava, far-te-ei uma excelência perpétua, uma alegria de geração em geração.

Instead of thy being forsaken and hated, And none passing through, I have made thee for an excellency age-during, A joy of generation and generation.

16 E mamarás o leite das nações, e te alimentarás ao peito dos reis; assim saberás que eu sou o Senhor, o teu Salvador, e o teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.

And thou hast sucked the milk of nations, Yea, the breast of kings thou suckest, And thou hast known that I, Jehovah, Thy Saviour, and Thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17 P or bronze trarei ouro, por ferro trarei prata, por madeira bronze, e por pedras ferro; farei pacíficos os teus oficiais e justos os teus exatores.

Instead of the brass I bring in gold, And instead of the iron I bring in silver, And instead of the wood brass, And instead of the stone iron, And I have made thy inspection peace, And thy exactors righteousness.

18 N ão se ouvirá mais de violência na tua terra, de desolação ou destruição nos teus termos; mas aos teus muros chamarás Salvação, e

Violence is not heard any more in thy land, Spoiling and destruction in thy borders, And thou hast called `Salvation' thy walls, And thy gates, `Praise.'

19 N ão te servirá mais o sol para luz do dia, nem com o seu resplendor a lua te alumiará; mas o Senhor será a tua luz perpétua, e o teu Deus a tua glória.

To thee no more is the sun for a light by day, And for brightness the moon giveth not light to thee, And Jehovah hath become to thee A light age-during, and thy God thy beauty.

20 N unca mais se porá o teu sol, nem a tua lua minguará; porque o Senhor será a tua luz perpétua, e acabados serão os dias do teu luto.

Thy sun goeth no more in, And thy moon is not removed, For Jehovah becometh to thee a light age-during. And the days of thy mourning have been completed.

21 E todos os do teu povo serão justos; para sempre herdarão a terra; serão renovos por mim plantados, obra das minhas mãos, para que eu seja glorificado.

And thy people all of them righteous, To the age they possess the earth, A branch of My planting, A work of My hands, to be beautified.

22 O mais pequeno virá a ser mil, e o mínimo uma nação forte; eu, o Senhor, apressarei isso a seu tempo.

The little one doth become a chief, And the small one a mighty nation, I, Jehovah, in its own time do hasten it!
