1 S alva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e faze-me justiça pelo teu poder.

2 Ó Deus, ouve a minha oração, dá ouvidos

O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,

3 P orque homens insolentes se levantam contra mim, e violentos procuram a minha vida; eles não põem a Deus diante de si.

For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. Selah.

4 E is que Deus é o meu ajudador; o Senhor é quem sustenta a minha vida.

Lo, God a helper to me, The Lord with those supporting my soul,

5 F aze recair o mal sobre os meus inimigos; destrói-os por tua verdade.

Turn back doth the evil thing to mine enemies, In Thy truth cut them off.

6 D e livre vontade te oferecerei sacrifícios; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque é bom.

With a free will-offering I sacrifice to Thee, I thank Thy name, O Jehovah, for good,

7 P orque tu me livraste de toda a angústia; e os meus olhos viram a ruína dos meus inimigos.

For, from all adversity He delivered me, And on mine enemies hath mine eye looked!
